My girlfriend and I did this in just a normal frying pan and man was it great! Threw some sesames and peanuts in it too and it was divine. Thank you for your great recipes!
Making this tonight! I’ve never cubed chicken and cooked alone, it worked great! I saved the cooking liquid. I just added the sauce. I’m serving w rice. I’ll update y’all tonight!! Thank you!
Just found your channel through this video and I’m obsessed! This meal is currently in the crock pot and it smells so good. Can’t wait to try some of the other recipes. 🙃
I'm going to try this recipe soon - already tried two of your crockpot recipes, and loved them! One tip I would offer here, for cubing the chicken breasts. Freeze the meat first, then let it start to thaw. When the chicken is half thawed but still stiff, that's the best time to chop it into cubes. Cutting totally thawed meat is a lot more difficult.
Going to give this a try! It looks great. I am going to try adding a slurry to mine to see if I can thicken the sauce up some more. I'll post the results when I make it. Thank you for sharing. I am addicted to your channel too!!
Did you add the slurry? If so, how was the outcome? The sauce in the video did appear to be on the ‘runny’ side even after cooling. So I figured a slurry will help. Not tried this recipe yet as I just saw this video for the first time.
I made this yesterday, for my wife and I, and have to tell you, this was THE best crockpot meal I ever ate. The flavors were off the chart, just with the few ingredients. Thank you
Hi Jenn! I just found your videos and I am so happy that I found your cooking videos. I plan to make this recipe for tonight’s dinner. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Jenn. I’m loving your channel especially the easy crock pot meals. I’m not the best cook but this looks so good and really easy so I’m giving it a go. Groceries are scarce here in Texas right now but I found some chicken breasts and everything I need today to make this.🤞Y’all stay safe.
Thank you so much. Glad to have you here. Hope you are doing ok down in beautiful Texas. My heart goes out to you with the crazy weather and all the damage. The grocery situation stories I have heard are just insane. Hope you are safe and enjoy this recipe!
This looks delicious. I must try this one! I'm going to use the cooking liquid from draining the chicken (before adding other ingredients), combined with added chicken stock, as the liquid for making the rice for added flavor. Thanks for sharing!
Delicious! It's a keeper and a 'go to' fail proof regular! Love this easy comfort one. Don't have barbecue sauce? You can also cook the chicken in orange juice & marmalade, with a dash of hot sauce, dash of balsamic vinegar, and worcestershire, some brown sugar (totally eliminating the barbecue sauce), for a orange twist even better than sweet & sour. (Season to taste with garlic or onion powder as desired). That was my regular until I found Jen's recipe, which is delicious and fail-proof.
Hello!! I liked ur orange chicken recipe, I’d like my sauce to be a bit thicker,,, could I add a little corn starch with out ruining your dish? Tc from Nevada
@@sydney2462 Start with 1 tablespoon each cornstarch & cold water combined, ladle some of the sauce into that, whisk, then stir in to the crock pot. If not thick enough for your liking, try 2 tbsp each or cornstarch & cold water.
I am making this tomorrow but with chicken fried rice, egg rolls and broccoli cuts ❤️ thanks for the inspiration! Also, I don't have low sodium soy sauce just regular soy sauce so should I add less salt ?
@@whenwithjenn thank you! I've got the ingredients coming on my delivered shopping tomorrow so will be making it for dinner tomorrow night. I will let you know 😊 xxx
This looks DELICIOUS!!! I have all ingredients except the orange marmalade....so I’m off to the store today to get it!! Thanks so much!!!! 👍🏼❤️ (by the way....where did you get the salt & pepper containers???) loved them!!!
3/4 c BBQ seems a bit much. Maybe 1/4 c Seems like the barbecue sauce with take away from the marmolada becoming sticky I'm trying this with apricot preserve instead and orange zest. Maybe at a couple tablespoons of the OJ at a time. To thicken the sauce use a Tbsp or so of xanthum gum stirred in to avoid clumps
Jenn, This sounds yummy. Promised to make it for my grandchildren. Any possible way to make the chicken a bit crunchy and still have the ease of using the crock pot?
I havent discovered a way in the crockpot but if you make the sauce separately and toss your chicken in some flour and fry it up and then combine the two you will get crispier chicken. Hope you and your grandchildren enjoy!
I am from Canada 🇨🇦 and concerned about the “Barbecue Sauce” choice... I am not familiar with the brand you use. Should I have more details about the sauce I select before making this recipe. I love the idea that it’s ‘freezer friendly’ because there is just my wife & myself.... I’m very curious about the result... sounds so so Good!!
I'm assuming any honey BBQ sauce will work. I'm allergic to pineapple and Sweet Baby Ray's is made with pineapple juice 😢😢 Sweet Baby Ray's was my absolute favorite too.
I made it tonight! Absolutely delicious! For any of you watching this video, make this dish! 👌🏾
I am so glad you liked it! So good right?!
My girlfriend and I did this in just a normal frying pan and man was it great! Threw some sesames and peanuts in it too and it was divine. Thank you for your great recipes!
A turkey baster would work well to remove the broth from the crock.
I was thinking the same thing 👍
This looks really good, definitely going to try but may try adding cornstarch/water at the end to thicken it more.
👍Thank you for Sharing 👍
Love crock pot meals! Just discovered your channel. Thank you. I have picky eaters and I think they will like this
Thanks! I feel you on the picky eaters. My son is going thru a phase right now. 🤦♀️

we have the same crock pot.
Save the chicken broth! Keep it in your fridge or freezer. It always comes in handy!
Love your channel!! Was thinking a turkey baster might be an alternative to spooning up the chicken juices.
Thank you! That is a great idea🙂
Hello!! I liked ur orange chicken recipe, I’d like my sauce to be a bit thicker,,, could I add a little corn starch with out ruining your dish? Tc from Nevada
Is it okay to add cornstarch to add thickness to the sauce?
Yes you can. Just keep in mind the sauce thickens as it cools. Enjoy!
@@whenwithjenn How much cornstarch would you recommend?

Why discard the liquid can't you use that as chicken broth in other recipes
My first video of yours.SUBSCRIBED
Glad to have you as a friend🙂
Sweet Baby Ray's is the only BB sauce l use❤❤
Has anyone done this but using juice from oranges?
Making this over this weekend. Was the broccoli raw before roasting? I never thought about cooking broccoli in the oven.
Yes, our favorite way to make it. Just toss with a little olive oil and salt & pepper...so good
Could I make this without the low sodium stuff.
It looks delicious but I hate being dictated too. It puts me right off me dinner?
can we use cornstarch to make the sauce thick?
Yes but the sauce does thicken up if you let it sit for a few minutes.
@@whenwithjenn thanks for answering. Love your recipes
No problem! So glad you like them 🙂

Has anyone used normal bbq sauce? I cant get sweet baby Ray's honey in the UK. Thanks!
I dont think it would make a big difference, if you try it let me know how it turns out!
@@whenwithjenn thank you! I've got the ingredients coming on my delivered shopping tomorrow so will be making it for dinner tomorrow night. I will let you know 😊 xxx
Why would you remove the perfectly good chicken broth? If it's too thin than use cornstarch to thicken it.

When with Jenn ok!!! I’ll take a look!!!! Thanks!!!!! 👍🏼
When with Jenn I found it, Jenn!!! Thanks again!!!! 👍🏼❤️
This looks delicious! Any chance you have a simliar, easy recipe for sesame chicken?? :)
Thanks! I have made it before but never filmed it. Maybe I should add that to my video list 😉 Also, I love that you spell your name with two n's. 💜

YOU SAVE THE CHICKEN STOCK FOR OTHER RECIPES! WORKS GREAT IN A RICE STEAMER!
What kind of crockpot is that
A much loved 7 quart crockpot. It is linked in my amazon favorites in the description box.
Anything bad happen if I use regular Soy sauce??😬
Haha, not at all. I would cut the salt in half or even leave it out to make sure it's not too salty. 🙂
@@whenwithjenn Thank you so much!🥰 just subscribed ✔ I'm looking into doing A LOT of crockpot dinners. THANK YOU again🥰
