Was thinking of doing this myself using hockey pucks lol. Damn good vid with great details on what needs to come off. After basically dismantling the entire front end of the truck, I changed my mind lol
Thanks for the comment sir-Def a big project- happy I had some buddies assist. I bought a second Blazer a few years later, and only decided to do the body raise- the suspension was too much to do a second time around lol
I've had my PA 2" BL up in my attic for about 6+ years now for my 2002 BlaZeR2. Your video has inspired me to just fuckin' install the bitch already. ::favorited::
@julesb12345 I actually just used Rocker guard/ asphalt undercoat. I taped the lines around the fenders and sanded them, then sprayed them a few times over a month with the spray can. I did the wheel wells, and the frame too. I don't have any after market fender flairs, just the spray. Thanks for the comment!
Nice work on the vid. Some of these idiots think you owe them a detailed play by play. They can go and figure our their own shit, pay someone or screw off. I watched it to see if it was going to be too much or work something I could handle myself. I feel confident I can pull it off now thanks to your vid.
I just did a 2 in. performance body parts lift on my 1998 Blazer today and I had to use all 12 body blocks, and I am "pre-2001". Also the fuel neck filler extension step would have been nice to see. But thank you for the insight, I will also be doing a BDS 2.5 inch suspension lift early next week, and appreciate that video also. What tires went on yours? I will be putting 33's on my stock 15in rims.
like the vid. think I'm looking at the same kit at jc whitney...says its a 2 or 3" kit..same company though " Performance Accessories "....looking at doing on my 1996 s10 blazer 4 dr 4x4...was yours the same 2 or 3" body lift ?
video was helpful, but where did you put your jacks to lift the body? also, from what it looks like this would be almost the exact same, if not fewer steps for a 2wd
how long did it take abouts? Im thinking about doing mine saturday but i have to work sunday morning.... i will have 2 experienced guys along with me doing it with a heated garage with hoist and all the tools well ever need
Great explanation! Very much appreciated! I'm wondering if I should buy the kit or build one. Is there any parts I most definitely cannot fabricate myself? Also, perfect opportunity while you had all that off toclean the rust and undercoat it. . . . Then again, that's why I'm so slow. I'd easily turn this 2 day job into 6 😅
All it is really is plastic pucks and bolts...I did this same kit on my 05 2 door back in 2015 and I ended up having to use the fuel neck extender..my fuel neck hose stretched and popped off...meanwhile on my old '00 (in the video) I didnt use the fuel neck extender either and no problems!
6:25 your dirofram was sucked in mine that means your 4wheel is engaged should be a spring that pushes it out when the truck is eather out of 4wheel or vehicle is off
I'm doing this to my blazer kinda stumped when I get to my rear right wheel weld my bolts don't line up with the holes from the body (shell) there tilting to the left is that normal? Did you have that problem? kinda freaked out lol
how difficult was it to loosen the body mount bolts up... I live in new York and my shits rusted to fuck on my 01 and I tried to loosen one and it didn't budge. not trying to snap them off.
I used penetrating fluid on my body bolts, let it soak all day, respray the night before, then should be good next day. I bought sockets too that are for taking out stripped bolt heads too just in case!! Make sure you use a breaker bar, no chance in hell with a rachet
+chickensodelicious Worked on it after class in this video. I actually did it again last May on my 2005 too. Took me around 9-10hrs with a high lift jack. Part that took me the longest was trying to remove the back bumper, didnt work again, so I said fuck it and left it un lifted
On my Blazer, I didn't have to modify the steering column. In the kit I purchased, I believe there were steering column extenders, also fuel neck extenders. I didn't require either one.
I could tell you were Canadian right away, the license plate and smokes just confirmed it. LOL shout out from Winnipeg (go jets go) Great vid, loved how "fuck" pops in there a few times.haha Thinking of doing this to my zr2. Vid is very helpful, Thanks
I did it 2 inch rear shackle lift on my blazer and crank the torsion bars to match, my 31s fit just fine with plenty of clearance. So with a 2 inch body lift you think I can fit 33s just fine? Thanks...
Weak!!! Body lift suck. They make blazers look like shit with all that frame showing plus there rear bumper gap. Please people break down and get a suspension lift!!

solid video dude. Im about to order the lift and install it on my 2000 jimmy, and then order the rough country suspension lift kit.
Great video. I'm from ontario and my wife said hey he has the same accent as you.
Bish I don't have an accent! LoL

This is awesome and very helpful. thanks for making this!
Thanks for this video. Live in ON as well, maybe I will see you around.
@SuperRetroTech I'm guessing you mean the front bumper? I didn't even install them, bumper is a bit wobbly on the sides, but whatever lol.
well done Peace From Spokane Wa.
@SuperRetroTech I assume it would be a simple clip system as well. Try to pull the grille a bit and watch down with the hood open.
@Ricky039 Yes, I had the Performance Accessories 2" body lift.

What size tires could you clear with just the body lift?
video was helpful, but where did you put your jacks to lift the body? also, from what it looks like this would be almost the exact same, if not fewer steps for a 2wd
Excellent video... thanks much
I think it's a good walk through just saying underside could use a little Bedliner or coating
@SIRE429 Thanks for the comment, what do you mean 'multiplied the rear axle?"
how long did it take abouts? Im thinking about doing mine saturday but i have to work sunday morning.... i will have 2 experienced guys along with me doing it with a heated garage with hoist and all the tools well ever need
So you used the hi lift jack to lift the body off the frame? Where did you put it so it didn't dent or bend the body?
@jrobb913 The bolts thread into the body itself, thanks for watching!
Was that one day?

how does it ride now is it more tippy im getting a blazer and want to fit 31s under it.
What size tires could you fit with the 2 inches?
31"
Hey dude where did u buy the kit man
Looks really good
question
where did you get the black rocker panel trim and fender flares?
ik ur a chevy guy but a 98 ranger would be simular?
Aveneged Sevenfold playing in a Blazer...nice
do the bolts that came with the body lift bolt into nuts or do they bolt into the body itself?
good video, best one on here.
How did you use the hi lift jack to lift the body were did you lift it from?
Will this be basically the same process on a 2003 s10 zr5 ?
How much would you say it would cost to do this to my 2002 blazer and put bigger tires on with a 2-6in lift
Currently have 2 1/2 " lift, and plan on doing a 2 inch body lift, did you have to relocate the 4x4 actuator under the battery?
I didnt' have to
Ok thanks
How'd it turn out with both lifts?
Same kit, mine is a 2" body lift
Do I need to get a steering column extension and fuel line extension?
I didnt have to use them
If you have seen my other video, you will see my install of the 2.5" Rough Country suspension lift. Thanks for the dislike on my helpful video though!
I'd say it would be identical!
how difficult was it to loosen the body mount bolts up...
About to do this to my 05. What was the part that took you the longest? Like why did it take two days? Not shit talking, actually curious.

I've been thinking about doing the 2" body on my 2000 jimmy. Did you do anything to the steering column?
On my Blazer, I didn't have to modify the steering column. In the kit I purchased, I believe there were steering column extenders, also fuel neck extenders. I didn't require either one.
Will this be the same on a 98 tahoe 2 door?
why is you 4wheel engaged
Where do you see that?
Kira² beak sabaraha duit eta mang biayana mun hayang kos kitu?
Yes
What size are your tires
Where did you get the body lift and how much is it ??
Ebay..around 200USD
at 9:45 why take off the licence plate when its attached to the bumper
lmao now its time to have a funking smoke.
I could tell you were Canadian right away, the license plate and smokes just confirmed it. LOL shout out from Winnipeg (go jets go) Great vid, loved how "fuck" pops in there a few times.haha Thinking of doing this to my zr2. Vid is very helpful, Thanks
what rims are thise look like the ines on summit racung i wanna get they are like 89 dollars each
Crager Soft 8's
where did you get the wheels?
I got them off Summit Racing. Crager Soft 8. 15x7 with 4,25" of back spacing. Around $52/per at the time.
Dou you need change the shocks?
The kit came with a set..likely would be bottoming out factory shocks
Great vid... But I betcha those 1/2 and 5/16 fasteners you did would be better using a 13 and 7mm instead... Just sayin'
if its the older "Blazer" Trailblazer, identical, if its the newer ones, I haven't a clue, I don't know anything about them unfortionatly
Anyone know where I can get new cab mounts? Mine seem to be rotted in the front hahaha
I did it 2 inch rear shackle lift on my blazer and crank the torsion bars to match, my 31s fit just fine with plenty of clearance. So with a 2 inch body lift you think I can fit 33s just fine? Thanks...
@patmatte haha thanks man!
Hrm..I'm actually not sure on that one. Good observation though!
anyone who has alot of car know how knows you do not need to remove alot of that stuff the instructions tell you to
When you're 20 in college, you're limited to experience. Thank you for the comment!
почему задний бампер не показал как вышло?
it would be the same for a 99-01
I think its a mixture of road salts and dried up mud lol
A7X
How was this bad for instructions? I followed step by step? lol
Underside looks like hell
You can help me!! Please
It's pretty good for a 12yr old truck. Show me your underside
Eh. Kinda good video, bad for instruction though. If you are going to do a mod. Do it right
The underside of your blazer looks terrible
Weak!!! Body lift suck. They make blazers look like shit with all that frame showing plus there rear bumper gap. Please people break down and get a suspension lift!!
Or run both like 99% of people that want to clesr big tires
