I think Volvo was the first "luxury" european car that came to North America long before bmw audi. But they died out and remerged again since the new Volvo platform.

Saab and Volvo's, are my all-time favorites. I was a automotive technician at a shop that specialized in swedish cars for almost 10 years. I now work in IT. I will always have a lust for swedish vehicles.:)
Nice to see that small events like this exist. Sweet that you can go around and talk to the owners to hear them tell the stories behind their cars. If you go to a big volvo event, ex vallakra in sweden, you have 20000 people and 1500-2000 cars and thats a little too much ground to cover.. Keep it up guys!

Was there in 2016 but sadly not for the garage sale. Just on a trip and happened to break my wheel in northern Cali so went through Oregon on a spare to get there lol. They took care of me and got me a wheel hahaha. Would love to go to the Garage Sale just that i'm about 4,300km away.
I think we need a Midwest Volvo show. Carlisle is like a 10 hour drive and IPD is like a 24 hour drive. It was cool seeing Jesse on the channel down from Alaska!
Go to Sweden and you see these cars everyday, my neighbours all got classic volvos on their lawns which they drive to work and the kids got their own volvos which they're modifying daily.
In my teens and when taking driving license my family had a 240. Sounds very old but it was a 1993, had AC, ABS and cruise control (or what it's called - "maintain this speed" but no + or -). So kind of crazy that the old 240 could get that in the end.
Volvo for life! Its amazing to see a lot of people loving and bringing their Volvos, that comes in all shapes, colors, years ... Love my S60...its a different kind of feeling owning a Volvo, you really get into it. Possibly only can compare with Ferrari and Porsche owners..,

A friend gave me his xc70 2.5T AWD 2007 (166,000km) this summer. He was upgrading to an Audi and the dealer was not giving a decent amount for the car. In live in Quebec ie Canada and the currency exchange rate vs the USD and the Euro is weak. It means they are expensive to have serviced at the dealer. In this case it had been and at around 150,000 km : new timing belt, battery, all the brakes, etc. What a gift ! I changed a wheel baring, bough a new side mirror and new rims for the winter tires (mandatory). Love it. I hope it will last me 5 more years. IE to when I retire. We have 10 in of wet snow this Tuesday and have no problem going up the steep road at the country cottage without getting the snow blower out. I wonder how it will do in pounder snow? :)

i worked at a volvo wrecking yard in LA for 45 years before moving to the desert it would make you crazy thinking of all the volvos that i have scraped over that 45 years. rare volvos that i regret today scraping them. the one i regret the most was a 43 volvo at the time it was the oldest volvo in the USA. but did not find that out till some years later. volvos in my opinion are the safest car out there. still have spuds my 68 volvo 122 amazon

It will be fully restored in about 6 months. 20t turbo green injectors, snabb intake package and snabb down pipe, R manifold 3 inch ipd exhaust, and do88 inter cooler and radiator .Full suspension overhaul with lowering springs and koni FSD gold. Going to be putting in a new ac compressor soon if i cant get a new clutch plate and a lifter job.

I don’t know about the S40 but I have an IPD XC70/V70-non-R exhaust on my 07 XC70 and it’s great if you get it welded up, I had clamp issues and had to swap in Torca tightening hardware with the hourglass torque block to prevent sagging at the joints
Honestly surprised not many people have the 1990 760, i have it and absolutely love it but i can rarely find parts since the 760 had practically different everything
i have an '87 760, I am going to try to get it ready for a road trip for next year's garage sale! And you're right, everything is different on the 760 and rare, but I love that car!
Hey guys I have a 99 Volvo S80 T6. It is saying it is immobilized and says ABS needs servicing. It will turn over but nothing from the fuel pump. What is going on I wanna drive it again ASAP
ABS Control Module failure maybe. might need reprograming only if ur lucky.u may try cleaning terminals. I m not an expert, get it obd scan by someone u can trust and try to find a used one in a scrap yard. usually u get a 30 days guarantee, if it is defective u get ur money back! Brand new or used u must have it calibrated or reprogramed by the Volvo dealer! brand new the module is about 1500$. It s fun to drive but costly to repair! Fix it and sell it get another one ! Me I operate a Volvo grader, fun to use but after a few years problems begin....

I've yet to see a Non-turbo High revving 2.o I5 engine set up like the one from the SCCA series 10 years ago.
Way too expensive, you should look up how they made the cars get 300hp and you will understand why nobody does it.

Hey guys I have a 99 Volvo S80 T6. It is saying it is immobilized and says ABS needs servicing. It will turn over but nothing from the fuel pump. What is going on I wanna drive it again ASAP
ABS Control Module failure maybe. might need reprograming only if ur lucky.u may try cleaning terminals. I m not an expert, get it obd scan by someone u can trust and try to find a used one in a scrap yard. usually u get a 30 days guarantee, if it is defective u get ur money back! Brand new or used u must have it calibrated or reprogramed by the Volvo dealer! brand new the module is about 1500$. It s fun to drive but costly to repair! Fix it and sell it get another one ! Me I operate a Volvo grader, fun to use but after a few years problems begin....
