I have a new gen '21 mt09 and to be totally honest I liked my old '18 mt09 better. The fact that it had K-Tech suspension, massive $ thrown at it by first owner didn't hurt. Electronics on new gen are nice. I also found a screaming deal on a '20 mt10 about 6 mo ago and promptly de cat and had it flashed. I get 25mpg, 30 if I'm not getting on it. I get 35-40mpg on the mt09 when I'm hammering the piss out of it. Can't really keep them both, find myself gravitating to the mt10, jeezus it's a beast! Both great bikes for the price.
I’ve been wondering is the MT10 worth the upgrade from an MT09, I have a new gen MT09 but I’m eager to hop on the 10 but just don’t want to regret it 😅
i got a gen 2 mt09 as a first bike, and its a fact that ur going to be a badass alot quicker if u start on something like an mt07 u can pick any bike after that.

just get a used xsr700 or fz07. more like a puppy dog than a 900. AND cheaper
