I like watching the dog just wandering around.
I think his name is Levi. Seems like a good dog.
Important thing is, it knows when to get out of the way.
In childhood I had a dog breed Scottish Sheepdog (collie). very smart. you are doing business, and he is constantly around, the company is up, and somehow it is more pleasant to get things done right away.
i like how he is just watching him work
laoluu
lol just barely, that fucker has big balls!
It's a pleasure to watch someone so skilled with the machinery.
Good idea, and well done too! That should take care of the roadway destruction problem.
I always like before I watch. I like the way you think. You do know about Blue Rock that it may contain asbestos.
You live in the rockiest area I have ever seen in my life, and Ive been around a while and been all over
You are killing it! you need your own show! And, please come do my land! I will pay ask!
Great video! People, can y'all please stop telling this man how to do HIS job? He doesn't come to your workplace and tell you that your work will fail, now does he?
That dog must be good at roof-ing lol
good luck on keeping pipe mouth clear going into your lower pond.
Good job Andrew!
god this guy is got some skills with that excavator.
Andrew make a little beach in your pond and stock it
I watched this a year ago, still entertaining.
8:00 I know Im not the only one that was yelling for him to catch the go pro when it was falling and not the only one to hold my breath lol
I was telling myself "that's a bad idea putting the tripod here, when the stream will be powerful enough" 30 sec later "Here we go ^^"
Well, never underestimate the force of water! XD
Nice work
Good work!
really, its the dog that makes it for me.
Nice job
Great job.
love it when he breaks thru the dam at 7.15
So satisfying
How many acres do you have? Great looking property
Cool.
A lot easier if you start down hill...kinda how you run pipe actually that way the water has some place to go.
the joints are at wrong direction, bells should be at high end .they can leak the way he installed pipe
Franklin Bush good observation. You my sir are correct
hope those pipes wont het clogged, but I think it will take no more than 1 year
the song that,s playing when your gopro hit the water please let me know i found kevin macleod on some of them i enjoy your show
by the way i like most of the music
dose anyone know the song that plays when his gopro hit the water
i went to kevin macleod site no luck with the song
your dog makes a good supervisor.
Yes.
No hardhat, no protection glasses, no high visibility vest, no protection boots or shoes, no scribble board, no pens in a chest pocket to look impressive, not even a chest pocket! Hm. Are you sure about that dog
well he bakred alot thats one thing

I’ll be honest with you ,your videos are addiction to me. I spend hours and hours watching these awesome videos. Love and peace from Saudi Arabia to you and good American.
heavy rainfall can cause scary stuff :D
Hi Andrew from Australia, like everyone else watching you, I love the blond supervisor. Like most supervisors he never actually does any work, just barks some orders and then wanders off to see what he can find, goes for a swim in the neighbours pool, and comes back when you've finished the work to pass criticism! You have a wonderful job, and do great work fixing all these issues and like most of the other comments say, "watching you is addictive". I'm jealous because I should have gone into you line of business.
Thanks,
Ray

I think your dog was a seal in its former life, it seems to love water a lot! LOL
Or a foreman
"that dog " is supervisor Levi Camarata. Overseer to all things construction and repair related Especially if there is water involved.
Those who have never been in an excavator have no idea what a deft hand it takes to run one as you do. Moving the culvert with the bucket and not crushing it but burying it with the same motion.... slick. You make it look easy.
Thanks, good eye noticing that.
the main thing i noticed too! any reason you didn't work your way up? I like starting at the low point so you're not working in water/mud the whole time.
Makes it look easy with very worn bushings on the bucket/stick! I would hire him to do work for me anytime
It’s amazing how the boom, dipper, and bucket become one with you, especially when you’re doing fine work......I used to practice with the bucket full of water to develop a smooth non jerking flow.
Totally agree with you John Laco..I would have started at the lower pond and worked my way back up.
Is this your property or a customer? Also your dog is funny how it always wants to be in the water lol
My place, yeah Levi always goes in water.
A mountain in Finland is called Levi.

Ville QQ ,so are my jeans................
It is a labradore they are after water always always
as soon as Andrew starts working the chief inspector ( Levi ) is there to inspect and by the looks of his tail he definitely likes what he see's, I envy everything about you and your life Andrew!
I love your videos man one of my favorite youtubers. Love how you arent lazy to get out to move the camera and get the best angle, how your informative about what your doing and why, and on some jobs you go back some time later to give us an update on how the project looks. Watching some of your older videos i see theres people talking shit and making negative comments but i hope you dont let those discourage you from making videos. Keep it up!
Thanks, yeah trying to make newer videos better.
my favorite also
@Michael Johnson Jr I. Agree also thanks for having the music at a decent level and not giving everyone an ear ache and the excellent camera angles
Ben
Thanks, yeah trying to make new videos better. Keep it up!!
Much Derp I was
That dog runs a tight operation.
That excavator handling skills is at legendary level. I can't even make that happen in simulator.
I would consider digging a small catch basin at the head of each culvert to catch dirt and debris, thus less change of a plugged up culvert.
I was wondering about debris - a catch basin sounds a good plan.
Your dog always cracks me up! No need for safety orange with that bleach blonde coat. Thanks, as always, for the video!
I've learned how to do so much from watching your videos Andrew, thank you for putting the time in to showing us how to do property maintenance!!
These videos where you take the time to explain what you are doing and why are your best. Really appreciate the extra effort. Cheers!
Thanks, ill try to do that in all future videos.

oh, my God, I just watched so many of your videos! I am obsessed! You are ONE man, manipulating land...making it be what you want or envision...you have such a skillset..just omg
..I am your biggest fan! This is crazy!
He's like a busy beaver, working with water, he has the natural instinct
I beg to differ from you, I am Andrews biggest fan LOL
Andrew, You make 'professional ' documentary producers look stupid. You know when to let the action speak for itself and when to interject.
Andrew Camarata is installing 3 plastic culvert pipes, which are better routing water from a pond outlet.
I've been in construction most my life of 70 years...I've never seen someone that seems to
Fly on the edge so much but always has excellent outcomes...!
A natural!
Andrew, having followed your channel for many years, I enjoyed re-watching this video when YT suggested it. It was wonderful to watch the great QC inspector running around keeping an eye on your work. Thanks to you, people like me who never met Levi, will always hold him in our hearts because of you. Thanks again for your content and it was fun watching Cody be the QC in the recent CAT bulldozer video.
Thank you.
i love the way Levi was barking orders about 3:40
2:30--music gets going; I sit back in my chair; smile spreads across my face. Therapy session has begun! Thanks for the video Andrew.
At 05:13 Min you disassembled the connection of the pipe when you covered it with gravel.
You can see at the bottom right corner of the footage that water keeps going fine.
Anybody else amazed at how well that dog stays out of the way? Mine can't let me walk down the stairs...
Not really. There are always lots of pee and poo smells for a dog to inspect in rural areas and no cats to chase or neighborhood dogs to argue with.
Andrew you are one of the coolest and most wesome dudes with the most awesome videos i have ever seen on youtube. I shit you not.
possecomitatus77 thanks.
It’s true!
And Chris fix is also the best
It’s always true!!
oh, p.s. not just awesome with the content, but the videoes are better than whats on cable!!!!
agreed
People love privacy but you should build some small cabins out there and rent them out. I'd rent one for a month just to go outside, build a small fire and have a hot dog over the fire and some chips and soda. Sit there and relax, sleep in. No phones, no internet (haha) nothing. Just have a small cabin to relax in, eat and enjoy to get away.
His skill is amazing smooth and he seems highly confident which I love ten out of ten would hire
ANYTIME, they're is water around the dog is in it. He sure likes to get we
How many miles of driveway or trails do you have?
I kinda thought he’d start at the lower end and work up! 🤷🏻♂️ but I’m not an excavatin man....yee haw 🤠
Nice job, however I couldn't work a machine with the dog around despite how steady it was....
Yeah, I watch him, I always make sure he's not where I'm about to move. Plus he pays decent attention too.
If your culvert pipe ever gets clogged call Post10. He's close by you.
Another great video Andrew ,that dog does some walking lol.
Talking about draining the swamp maybe he should move further south and give them a helping hand just saying !!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
I envy people like this...People who actually create/build something. I sit in an office all day and "make" spreadsheets/reports as a senior accountant. Wish I could make a living doing this instead!
do u have any trouble with ticks getting on ur yellow lab up there? in the last month we have pulled a dozen off our golden retriever so far. hadn't been bothered for many yrs till just this last month. yeah-i always liked putting culverts in too.
He's gotten ticks before, but not in a while.
BigJim57
Dont think any tick would want to go swimming in that cold pond water, the dog (Levi) keeps going into.
It's coming up on 5 years now. How is that Thin Plastic Culvert holding up ? ? I would've considered 20" inches Cement Culvert dug some 30" inches Deep for Its Own Protection from getting Crushed from vehicular traffic.
I love labs. They'er 50% curious kid, 50% fish.
HGTV is missing it's biggest star ever!!!
I have been thinking that all along. Like Gold Rush but without the idiots.
@@flat6fever680 Right, this guy is amazing. Thats what women like to see. A man that can really manipulte our biggest adversary...mother nature! I was bragging so hard about how amazing this guy is that I think my husband got a little jealous
Agreed
Thank you for saving us from the water. It was cold :)
I love your dog following you around. Its so cute
I've heard about "BARKING OUT ORDERS" but Levi does it best. Sadie is Levi's secretary
"My GoPro just went for a swim" Levi looks up like I told u so lol. But nice one for getting the shot 👍
Nice work. Your soil conditions where you live and work are so completely different from where I am; we hardly ever have rock to deal with and that looks like most of what you have.
Thanks. Digging here the dirt is mostly mixed with rock, than you hit bed rock which cant be dug threw.
I’ve been quite ill with cancer. Love the background music while watching
Hope u get well have a nice Christmas!!!
Ben C You are so very kind. Wish you the best too.
Andrew if you bought an other excavator a few sizes bigger than your ex 100 what would you buy I also have an other question for you what bulldozer company is your favorite
The second pond actually looks deeper than the first pond
dude you're fucking everywhere lol. I came to this video by randomness.
they would make good swimming holes
Im in the works of becoming a heavy equipment operator absolutely love your vids that work with the excavators ive worked on backhoes and skidsteers etc. all my life love these vids, you should put screens on the ends of the pipes since theres a ton of pine needles and leaves in the vid
I came for the vid but stayed for the dog .
I used one of the techniques I learn from you on a 1 mile driveway the other day. It also got me the job because I didn’t have to haul 10 loads of rock in to fill the ditches that had washed out in the driveway. I dug the rock from a big bank behind the house and hauled it down the driveway. Thanks.
7:59 Andrew shows us his running back skills
7:57 who else tried to balance themselves thinking you were falling out of your chair?
Should have installed an "overflow", that way the pond will always fill to a certain point and the overflow would drain away the rest.
The line on the culvert needs to go to the bottom. There is holes in it that allow the ribs to fill with water as the water levels rise and fall thus adding weight to the culvert to keep it in the ground.
Down or Up for the line. there is a hole on the opposite side to allow airflow.
looks like a good job. however, the place i worked & got my pipe from recommended to go no less than 1' deep to prevent the pipe from being crushed by traffic. i've also heard to use some sand or dirt that touches the pipe to prevent rocks from puncturing the pipe. but those are DOT standards & they over-do everything.
hope it does well for ya & this video might solve a squabble i'm having with a relative, about letting run-off flow atop the road. that has "bad idea" written all over it.
We replace a lot of these plastic culverts I work for hwy dept most of the time the plastic is usually not low enough on driveway connections and they work up or collapse after several years we only use galvanized pipe no plastic but I guess it depends On were you work at. some use concrete and the plastic culvert pipes. But for as our dot we only use galvanized and usually do not have any problems other than if one isn’t installed properly and it gets to filling up with debris or undermining they will rust out but usually it’s a very long time before replacement all the plastic ones I have replaced have holes collapsed or just worked up out of ground being too shallow.that is usually the case. But I can see one deep enough it would last a lifetime. Andrew you got some nice skills there. And I enjoy your videos thanks.
They want 1-1/2 times the diameter of the pip over top of the pipe with loose fill in my area.
I had to replace my driveway culvert a few years back, my township will do the work if I buy the pipe. I asked about going to 8 or 12" pipe from the 15" that was there for added cover and said it wasn't needed. Small/smooth stone is best but the smooth bore double wall pipe is extremely strong and will hold up fine with only a few inches of cover.
Yes. Please find a dog harnes for your gopro
Hey Andrew,
Can you put a pipe in my backyard?
Why didn’t you leave a check dam, put your pipe in then break it out so you’re not working in a trench full of water?
Nicely done, Andrew. You are really good with that construction equipment..... btw, great dog.... thx for posting....
I believe you pipe is in backwards Andrew, bell goes on upstream side. Love your videos. Have watched everyone at least once.
Can't wait until you get a brand new Caterpillar excavator, how many acres is your place?
he has 17 acres
Your saving those trees that where in that pond because they can’t have to much water or they’ll die

Is this on the same property as your shipping container house? I like the looks of what you did for water control.
I think that this is on that same property.
Cameraman had too many beers and keeled over on you huh.....
Why am I watching this again? I just watched it over a year ago! Andrew, we need new fabulous content faster, goddammit! :-)
