The train scene would've worked as a droid supply convoy. I always love how Grievous gives no shits about the droids, so seeing him wreck a whole train of them just to get to Kenobi would be pretty funny/cool.
Honestly the train holding innocents works too since Grievous is sadistic and cares for pretty much no other being in the galaxy except Dooku and Sidious (well just Sidious since Dooku is dead at this point). Running down thousands of bystanders is entirely within his character, but the guy in this vid is right in saying public transportation would’ve shut down long before this happened. But even if it didn’t shut in time, I pity everyone on that trajn 😳
This is one of those moments where I respect Obi-wan with the stunts he went through during his duels. From holding on to dear life while Darth Maul had the high ground, to the fight with Jango Fett, to the legendary duel with Anakin in Mustafar. His duel with General Grievous was no exception and an amazing duel. But with this deleted scene, I could see Obi-wan having been pushed too far with all the stunts and absurdity he went through. I wouldn’t blame Obi-wan if he thought “Enough is enough.”

I think it’s also worth pointing out that since grievous and the train were traveling in opposite directions, the chase would’ve been brought to a halt, as it would’ve basically been the same as grievous driving his bike on a giant treadmill.
No, if you're still inside a train, the difference between your and the train's momentum is 0, which is why you don't go flying everywhere, and can walk inside a train (in which case, you're actually moving faster than the train) so in these regards, this stunt could've definitely been pulled off, as well as his wheel would've been moving waaaay faster than the train.
What with advancements in cgi technology, could it be possible that if we as fans all collected the deleted scene scripts, we might be able to work together as a community to make the four hour cut of revenge of the sith?
I think he was originally supposed to be the return of Maul rebuilt as a cyborg as an obvious analogue to what would later happen to Anakin. Think about it, if a double lightsaber didn't stop Obi-Wan then surely FOUR of them will! Makes sense and would tie the prequels together a bit more Pity they didn't go with that concept
Grievous being maul rebuilt as a kind of proto-vader is something that was heavily rumoured leading into episode 3 and may have been considered at One point

I like Grievous’s existing backstory with the Kaleesh, Huk, and the bomb planted by Dooku and Maul’s return in season 4, the arc with Death Watch, the Darksaber, Savage, Dathomir etc is some of favorite ever SW content. No, if you're still inside a train, the difference between your and the train's momentum is 0, which is why you don't go flying everywhere, and can walk inside a train (in which case, you're actually moving faster than the train) so in these regards, this stunt could've definitely been pulled off, as well as his wheel would've been moving waaaay faster than the train.

I think he was originally supposed to be the return of Maul rebuilt as a cyborg as an obvious analogue to what would later happen to Anakin.

Grievous being maul rebuilt as a kind of proto-vader is something that was heavily rumoured leading into episode 3 and may have been considered at One point

I like Grievous’s existing backstory with the Kaleesh, Huk, and the bomb planted by Dooku and Maul’s return in season 4, the arc with Death Watch, the Darksaber, Savage, Dathomir etc is some of favorite ever SW content. Not to mention the Siege of Mandalore and Maul’s final duel with Kenobi in Rebels

Keep his death the same, remove the blending clones and Obi-Wan running over clones and you have one of the most awesome bearable action scenes in the saga.

We All know falling down from extreme heights is totally survivable, so Grevious could have survived that... sure, he may just be a GPS voice in a starship, but he could have still survived. 😆 Glad that wasn't the Obi-Wan I was looking for.
