Rocky is on an eating binge as he’s trying to push the Jooly outa the way n get his shotgun seat next 2 his dad back. If Rock was people he’d be so happy like I was that Julie reminds his dad to put on safety glasses so he doesn’t get metal shavings in his eyes as he looks up to drill into the roof! Your dad needs those eyes to find your treats so give her some extra kisses. But seriously you two doing this during winter with no barn/garage to work in is quite a feat. I see you sitting on your hands and I feel for you. You’re getting quite a lot done and I’m excited for the design aspects and then the great adventures. My sisters labradoodle eats everything. Curtains, pillows, razors (my sister ran out of the shower naked looking for the razor and thankfully the blades were out safely. They had to get a higher shower candy), bars of soap, snapped a rams horn which was deemed indestructible in a day, and the wood in the door frame. He is 6 feet tall standing taller than her or her husband. He’s just a year old and gets tons of exercise. It’s like a full time job trying to dog proof the house, but they/we love him so so much. He’s not into poop though. Or should I say “yet”. Thanks for listening to us asking for more dog content haha🥰

Well presented, informative and fun video. Growing up, my German Shepherd liked to eat crickets bananas and beef leg bones so big the butcher asked if we had a lion.
@@dogcatmanvan They call from mid February to April all night long; but it's nice. These big black crickets can grow as big as your thumb. And yes I'm in Australia.

I would suggest for the future, that from the bottom side, where the screews come out, to add a 2x4 or 1x3 cm wood so the wood holds also the fan, not just the thin metal sheet. Because right now just the screews and the Butly are holding the fan, and vibrations may, at some point, start to create empty space around the screews and it can leak. Great tutorial as always. I’m about to put a dome vent in the SUV (condensation, cooking, fresh air, etc). The butyl is very cool. I used some in the interior, on metal (sound deadening, insulation). I’m still trying to find the right low-profile vent-prefer it be powered. Great tip with the paint on Flex Seal. 🌿

Mrs. Meyers should be at most local grocers or hardware store. We purchase ours at King Soopers or Kroger. We like it since you can keep your container and buy large refills.

Great video!! Do you know how easy Flex Seal Liquid is to replace when the fan needs resealing? Will it stretch and pull off, or would it require a solvent? I made the mistake of trying Flex Seal spray, and it dried and crumbled in a couple years and was very hard to remove, even with Goo Gone Automotive. I learned that each Flex Seal product is different, though, and so am willing to try again.
Do you plan on using it as your only ventilation? It works great for our bathroom, but it's small. We also have the regular maxxair van and an AC unit to circulate air throughout. I don't think the Dome would be able to keep things cool as a stand alone vent

Video main lesson Put lots of thought on where you cut your roof. If you would've moved the fan install 3-4" towards the center you wouldn't have had the ridiculous butyl dam and increased chance of leaks.. 🤷♂️ The Flexseal or Dicor only diverts water. The butyl is the actual seal for the flange. Don't give Flexseal more credit than it deserves. There is a reason professionals in rv construction & repair use Dicor. BTW, you can also frame Dicor application with tape to get a neater edge, as if it matters.
I caught our pooch snacking on a turd while outside. I put the kibosh on that real quick, since she loves licking everyone. Some folks suggest that the desire to do so may point to a protein deficiency in the diet so we supplement with some tinned sardines at dinner time. The fish oil helps with coat health too.
Important tip! Maxxair has kinda cheap quality you need to disassemble it and coat the circuit board with conformal coating because they are not water and moisture proof.

It sounds like that labradoodle is far more of a handful than Reli haha. Hopefully he settles down on the destruction with age!

Every dog I've ever had ate cat poop and rolled in anything dead they could find. Nasty! Beagles are especially bad about it.
Yeah Rocky is pretty bad about rolling in smelly stuff. It's like a camouflage to him haha
no need for a big ass vent for the shower ceiling.. No need to take a 15 minute shower and then no need for a vent.
Sometimes when I took showers in the winter I would instantly get steamed up in there since it's such a tiny space. The vent help prevent that.
Not everything that transpires in the bathroom is just about venting for moisture.
