You should do "Everything Dies", one of the very best from Type-O, extremely meaningful song.
One of the best songs ever written.
Excellent song!
Love this song
I watched my stepfather take his last breath to stage 4 cancer recently. It was surprisingly peaceful (thankfully he passed while in an unresponsive state), and the song "Everything Dies" has always helped me see this aspect of life very clearly and poignantly without a large degree of sadness, and because of this I thank Pete for writing it.
Needs to be the full version. The breakdown at the end is sick!
Peter Steele was a musical genius. People either got his sarcastic brand of humor or they didn't. I think this is one of the songs where the true Pete Steele showed himself. I think as brilliant as he was, he was also tormented, I'm sure he had regrets and the music was a release. I miss this band so much. Type O was a band that got me through some turbulent times of my own.
Me too !
he said in a interview that the music was what helped him through tough times, being able to express his feelings through "sonic therapy".
He converted to Christ before he died.
Θ
They are a one of a kind band👍
That whole album felt as though he knew his time was almost up.
truth
Or at least he suspected his time was close...
I've never listened to it after the one time that I did. It feels so disjointed
The very last lyric of the very last song of his very last album is "All hail and farewell to me"
The Type O season is coming
For me, it's always Autumn and Type O time 6)
So true
type o, danzig, bauhaus, joy division, fields of the nephilim, nick cave, aic etc pp time... i love the dark time of the year most... ^^
Θ
Fantastic video, Sori's honest heartfelt joy is awesome.
Agree completely!!!
Agreed
Her continuous smile & glazed eyes, I believe she nearly burst into tears of joy!❤️
I like that you didn't stop the song every ten seconds like a lot of reaction videos do.
TON is my most favorite band in all of my 48 years of life. Every emotion is covered. Every problem is solved or started... Every moment remembered when he died...So missed.
Definitely your best video. Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song.
You’re reaction to this song is priceless. You caught Peter at the tail end of his mortality and he found god. Thank god he did because I can’t wait to meet him in heaven one day.
Exactly!!!......I think that of all beautifull song that they made, this one Is the most important!!!!! ( I mean, it Take a Balls of "Steel" to wrote and Sing this song ( You know what i mean))!!!!!!..........what do You think?
Same here - I’m a Roman Catholic like he was - some days, I get this great feeling that the Green Man is up there
the whole month of October i listen to Type O. ive been doing it since highschool.
I have to say.. Something about fall makes me put on Type O Negative as well. I love them.
Me too
October Rust baby.
These Three Things= The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit... also= Faith, Love, Hope...
i like more mother, daughter and both with their shity spirit in my bed...
@@seelenwinter6662 Goodluck with that ✌💀
Perdition, Infanticide, Salvation are the three cantos
It could also be described as abortion, Isreal, his own Christianity. As the three things that is
Check out Type O’s “Wolf Moon” ... I look forward to the lyrical interpretation
Sori gonna make such a UGH face lol
Yes 100% do "Wolf Moon" that is an incredible song!!!
i would rather see Bloody Kisses or We hate everyone.
Lol
😹
Type O Negative is one of the greatest metal bands to ever exist. Sori has great taste in music!
I highly suggest reacting to "September Sun" and "The Profit of Doom" from the same album this song was taken from.
I agree
Agreed!

The whole Dead Again album is good
Peter is singing Worship Him in the end
I am a huge TON fan. and i noticed in that last album, because of ALL the things he sang about, i had a feeling he was awake. that he saw what was really going on in the world because he had the holy spirit with him, and i was so joyful!! "yay, im gonna see Peter again!!" if you take the time to look at all those songs on that last album, any Christian would see exactly what I am talking about. He really touches on the bible. Love him even more!
It is pretty interesting to see Peter's journey not just through all of their albums, but from World Coming Down to this.
Peter strayed from Christianity but before his death he came back to the Catholic Church. This album is was written after his return.
"Everything Dies" will make you cry. Such a powerful song, the video is strong as well.
I've watched this video twice through now. Even though I am not a Christian, Sori's reaction at 10:50 really got me. I am very happy for you, Sori :)
TYPE O NEGATIVE!! 👍👍👍
Great song
One of my favorite later Type-O songs. I’m an atheist, but I’m glad Pete found some spiritual closure before his death.
This song is an absolute masterpiece.
We Hate Everyone by Type O-very relevant today
Charles F the middle section of that song is some of the best music they ever did for sure
Told y'all a long time back, Type O isn't a one trick pony. You really get to hear Pete grow and change through the music. Not a huge fan of this one particularly, but it does represent that brutal, honest humanity that he always portrayed.
Type O Negative are to me as The Beatles were to my parents. And more…
TON are The Beatles, The Drab Four
My favorite Type O song! Gives me goosebumps every time!
I am only just now getting into October Rust and this album. Great days ahead.
Type O Negative "Green Man" is really good.
Was fortunate to meet Pete & Kenny after a show, very down to earth guys .Some fans get star struck but if you just shoot the shit with them ,they appreciate it even more!!! RIP Pete you will forever be remembered through your music
Peter Steele was raised a Christian but moved away from the faith. Toward the end of his life he cleaned himself up off the drugs and found his faith again. Sadly it was too little too late to save him.
Not true. His rediscovery of his faith/God DID save him. Only his body died.
@@arthurbishop3173 IT is Only your interpretation. He is dead. Only that is objective. The restt od the matter of faith
Catholics are not Christian. Finding Christ is a journey and is a solo mission from within. None of need a Pastor or a Priest to find Him. Catholicism will take your away from Jesus Christ as they worship everyone BUT Jesus Christ.
Peter had found his faith, after the death of his mother. Add in some life experiences and a renewed faith and you have These Three Things.
Seriously amazing deep analysis of this song you are so smart bro honestly amazing!
Preach brother 🙌
Loved this. Thank you for the informed decoding of Pete's lyrics on this one. Excellent video!
That was an amazing video, guys! Loved your reactions and Sori's excitement on this one. I've been a fan of Type O Negative since before the 1st album was released, but this final album is my favorite one. It's so great from start to finish!
I'm not remotely christian, nor religious - but I do adore type o, very interesting listening to your perspective on this song. Especially all of the biblical story references which went right over my head. A very interesting watch :)
Watching this video all over again. It's the best one you did
💯🔥 love this song and love the reaction 👍💚
I have owned some Type O Negative stuff for many years but have only just started to deep dive into their whole catalog which I will own it all. I have yet to hear a bad song yet. I get Peter's self-deprecating humor, but I have listened to many of Peter's brilliant interviews, and I will be the first to tell him when I see him in paradise that he always sold himself short. Incredibly talented man, band and someone I admire more and more every day. Honesty is golden.
Wish I watched this back in 2019. You two are amazing and blessed.
Peter was like I am now, a lost sheep who was raised catholic and something turned him away from the church and he finally found forgiveness and peace that I have not found yet.
If you're raised in the church, it's always going to be inside of you. Peter went through literal Hell and got as far away from religion as he could. But, before his death, he came to a realization that maybe faith is what he needed. his last interview was beyond interesting
James Green The only faith that makes sense is to beleive in yourself, the others are fake bullshit.
That fear indoctrination never stops haunting people, its so sad.
@@Luvenhart I get that but for some people, having faith is the only thing keeping them going. I know my faith has helped me deal with my dad dying going on 2 years. Knowing that when I die, I'll see him in Heaven sometimes is the only hope I have.
@@scottthompson4193 as opposed to what? we come from nothing, nothing matters in the end, and when we die, we go back to being nothing? I'm sorry but I don't see how anyone can live that way.
@@JamesGreen-bf4jy I never said we came from nothing, but you dont have to jump to conclusions from a book that is flawed so terribly. I believe there is some sort of creator and after life. There is nothing wrong with not knowing!!
"September Sun". Tis the season after all... I love how "These three things" breaks into "Hey Jude" by the Beatles near the end "Na, na, na, NA na Na naaaa..." in the guitar melody. As an aside, one of the many points that split the catholic church from some of the early reformation protests was indeed sprinkling babies in "infant baptism" practices. Some reformers (specifically one Felix Manz) was DROWNED by the roman catholic church in response to his position for "believers only" baptism. So it was in fact "De Fide" roman catholic doctrine, at least in the early 1500's in Zurich. I just learned about this today, so I thought I would share.
This is the best TON track ever, music is awesome & the lyrics are so deep you could drown in them! RIP Peter, you are so truly missed!
I loved your reaction to this, shame it took me so long to find it! I pray you are both well and may God bless you both. 🙏
Pretty pretty please do Zeal and Ardor - Devil is Fine session live! And also do more Type O and Ghost!
Zeal and Ardor, Awesome song ❤
Watching again after almost one year
At the end, he is saying "worship him."
What the heck is the word he says at 16:35 about how to get to heaven?

Really enjoyed this episode also your statement "Christianity is the only club you have to not be a member to become a member"
This is the first time I've heard this song and I absolutely love it great song. I'm not very religious at least not at this point in my life, with that said a big reason why I love Vin, Sori, and this RUclips channel so much is because they don't try to force religion down anybody's throat. There's a lot of talk about religion but it's more educational to help people better understand the lyrics in the songs they review. Thank you Vin and Sori I've learned so much from watching this channel, not just about religion but also about life. Keep rocking out🤘.
Type -O Negative Nettie please!!
Glad y'all did this song!
Seconded! One of my favourites of theirs; tender, reflective and heartfelt - plus I'm addicted to the synth in the verses
With sori's mom absolutely!👍
👍😘🇸🇪
"These Three Things"
The child is torn from the womb unbaptised
There's no question it's infanticide
I'm guilty so therefore condemned
Destroying angels must come to an end
Now in Limbo deprived of paradise not so nice
At the end I'll escort you to hell
The dark one's forces lock your flaming cell
To murder the one's unborn
The worst sin you've ever performed
There are two other things I must tell, know them well
With due respect heed these words of caution
If considering an abortion
If you did boiling sulfur
To which I won't concur
Leading to a path of misfortune no one won
Of a land, land that shuns the son
So alien call it area 5-1
Should there be failure to convert Zion?
What came as a lamb returning as a lion
Not a nation but a self proclaimed state
Since the year of our Lord 1-9-4-8
The road to redemption leads to through deserts
Rocky though the trip through is well worth it
I am the duel of the fisherman Simon
He brought alpha, omega, yes I'm the one
The twins fell beginning Armageddon
So the whore too who dwelleth in Babylon
All his people gathered round - through forgiveness salvation found
You got a few things wrong here
I really miss this band they are one of a kind band it really sucks to know that Peter is gone,R.I.P. Peter Steele😢
I like the nod to the Beatles' Hey Jude with the guitar part at the end. A reaction to Type O's Profits of Doom (from the same album) would make for an interesting discussion.
I read that Josh said that that was played on keyboard, even tho it sounds like guitar.
@@arthurbishop3173 That's very interesting
Θ
What part are you talking about, may I ask?
@@kalerug 13:02 it’s the naaa naaa na nanana part of Hey Jude
I'm a recovering atheist neckbeard. Currently spiritual homeless, and I love hearing religious people talk about their faiths these days. Don't let people tell you what you can and can't talk about on your channel. It's your perspective, and they are just closed-minded and think they know everything because they read Richard Dawkins one time. Reading Revelations and the Tao Te Ching has been very insightful, even if I see it as metaphorical and philosophical. Keep up the awesome work!
fyi Guitarist Kenney Hickey screams the I'm a Christian part and sings the last repeat of "All His people..
@ VinAnd Sori fun fact: Peter Steele was baptized as Petrus Thomas Ratajczyk
that's the duality: Petrus, the rock the church was founded on and doubting Thomas at the same time....
he lived his life in doubt and rebellion, but shortly before the end he found god.
from alpha to omega. full circle
addendum: the part in the end of the song which is kinda hard to understand: he sings "worshipping"
Never enough Type 0
Maximum complicity here
Experience the Yin and Yang of Peter's Catholicism: Carnivore - Angry Neurotic Catholics.
Consider it an origin story.
Sometimes it does matter to be the devil's advocate.
That's great! Ive never heard this one before
IYDKMIGTHTKY (Gimme That) - Type O Negative !!!!!!
Yes Infinity and beyond. Thank you Sori.
Peter Steele was pretty forthcoming about this. He was Roman Catholic and lost his faith for a while only to refind it.
Even though I adore TON, I never got into the Dead Again album, so I totally forgot about this song, haha. Shocked me all over again. While I have my differences with the lyrical views, it's a great track. I really enjoy the celebratory sound of the last canto, if mainly because it's so unexpected from them.
Robert Seale Dead Again was their magnum opus. It is worth checking out again. Tripping A Blind Man is probably the greatest TON song. It has it all.
I love you two!
Yes Peter Found Jesus before he died. Please Do 'September Sun' by TON! Best of their last album
Peter saved many of us. I wish he was still here.
Peter Steele, one of the few high profile Catholics in the metal scene. RIP.
Peter Steele soul has been tormented his whole life but in the end, he found peace, love and died as Christian. Rest in Peace, Peter.
I never looked that much into lyrics on this album and if wasn't for this video i would never know that Pete converted before he died
I guess his new imaginary friend didn't help him much.
@@beckyleavitt7808 you're right he found god and now he's in heaven in eternal bliss.
He's in heaven with god and a lot of deathrow murderers and rapists who asked forgiveness before death and also smiling down to hell where some of his friends and family probably are. Sounds like bliss.
@@ristoraaska2591 Doesnt work like that at all.

Kenny’s guitar tone on this album is absolutely massive sounding, lots of Sabbath inspired sounding riffage
You did it😯😁OMG THANKYOU😄
Power Trip - Divine Apprehension
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nest
Power Trip - Crucifixation
and in the end the troubled soul found salvation
edit: also, picking up Sori's idea of gathering around. If I am not totally wrong the second time the chorus was sung by Kenney Hickey (the slightly higher screaming voice). That underlines the idea of gathering around Peter.
Vin is so much genius on understanding lyrics... wow... man...
It's Never Enough is a personal favourite of mine. It's about his mother dying and the fears and anger he felt at being helpless to ease her pain. He knew how to convey his emotions just a shame he passed away so soon
I think God took him before Peter changed his mind lol
Check out Profit of Doom from the same album.
"Turn the other cheek, thats why gave us 4"---Peter Steele
Just when Sori thought Pete couldn't get any hotter... xD
Maybe this song is about his own personal journey for redemption Raised religious, but turning away from his faith.. He says he was guilty... the road to redemption leads through desert (him hitting rock bottom and recovering from addiction), but it's well worth it. His people" could be the closest people to him, "all his people gathered around". his salvation was found through their forgiveness... and then the declaration that he has once again found his faith! I read that he had found sobriety in the final year before his death... I am happy for him that he made this declaration... Comments?
Great song!!
What is really interesting about pete is a few years before this his stance was "kill all the things" on abortion then he went through hell and found his faith again. His take on abortion is not telling people what to do but one of which is self reflection. He said in interview about this song he doesnt judge but everyone should agree that to use it as contraceptives is BS.
Then in the same song he roasts Isreal. Man was a legend.
Best. Video. Ever.
