    Depends...But the Kawasaki M9's are supposed to like the Kawasaki M8 replaced the M2's M4's & M6's. However they did keep a 24 units pair of M2's for emergency contingency fleet.

      A: They’re diverse compared to all of the lame electrics.
      B: You can mix up different cars to make up a train.
      C: They’re more comfortable to ride on.

      Their no third rail over the crossing points train have to hold speed over the points and can't move the handle or they will slow down and stop and will need to be move by another train the same thing go for train washes

    On the weekdays Monday - Friday , Metro North run 4 trains coming from & going to Wassaic. On The Weekends Saturday & Sunday however , Metro North runs 1 train coming from & going to Wassaic.

    these trains come like every 10 seconds, and its odd too because these have to stop at stations so the train behind the other train might crash or something. Some trains run express too?

      during rush hours, Metro North has express trains running, especially the diesel trains.

      If you mean the sounds of the M7 rail cars, that's just the train's propulsion sound.

    at 8:06 was the train stopping at a station. If it did then shouldn't all the train cars be exactly on the platform?

      The train did stop at the station & some station on Metro North Railroad, stations like Valhalla, can hold a certain amount of train cars in a station. Valhalla Station can hold 6 Cars in total.

      They are but with a few minor details in certain places between the two. The colors are just one out of a few other examples.

      It part of the horn sequence operators do
      One long
      Another long
      One short
      And one more long until they pass over the crossing. Some driver will hold the horn longer or sometime the horn will have a slight delay of going quiet
      Also, the train station is just north of the crossing. Metro North trains mainly sound the horn when passing or stopping at stations to warning passengers.
      Metro North's Peekskill Station is another example of this.

      1365Amtrak I live near the Croton-Harmon station and this is one of the two basic types of horn I hear. So does Metro North use the Leslie S2M and Amtrak whatever the other horn is that usually has 4 or 5 chimes in sort of a major chord?

      Metro North M7's & M3's have 3rd rail power , Diesels such as the P32AC-DM have 3rd rail & diesel power.

      Metro-North has dual-mode locomotives that can be switched between diesel and electric operation. The railroad also uses catenary on the New Haven Line.

      Most tracks north of North White Plains don’t have a third rail, so Diesel engines are necessary. Some diesel run as though trains to Manhattan sometimes.

      Amtrak commonly uses the K5LA Horns nowadays. K5LA
      K = Kettle Drum Principle
      5 = five chime
      L = Low Mount
      A = American Tuned

    These train tra c ks arent like the LIRR whrre the Metro is quiet and not very good sounding in my opinion though the lirr tracks have a satisfying sound especially in RR crossings
