  • During a sit-down with the Outlawz, E.D.I. Mean spoke about the time 2Pac called out Black Disciples at his Chicago show after the killing of 11-year-old Robert "Yummy" Sandifer. The child was killed after pulling off a string of robberies and murders in the area, and the gang members felt that police were paying too much attention to the area and feared Sandifer would snitch, so he was killed.
    According to E.D.I., 2Pac read the TIME cover story about Sandifer on his way to the Chicago show, and he unleashed his rage on some gang members in the crowd, which started an all-out war. To hear more of the story, hit the above clip.

  • @tswej
    @tswej 3 года назад +35

    I just read the story of Yummy and it's really sad in many ways. The kid was abused from birth, him mother was on drugs and either abused or allowed the men in her life to abuse him. He was a terror to everyone in the neighborhood even before joining the gang and had been arrested about 30 times by age 11. When he died many people in the community celebrated which is really sad. Gang leaders ordered him to kill rivals but after he killed a 14yo girl with no gang ties they ordered a hit on the kid to silence him.

    • @MentalPistol
      @MentalPistol 2 года назад +1

      Thats the problem. It was going on way before then and has been and will continue to happen until these communites are cleaned up free of poverty. That wont happen unless theres a cultural shift. Cultural shift wont happen unless there's MANY opportunities availaible for the parents and youth. Opportunities wont be taken advantage of unless there is a shift in worldview and a rid of negative thought. It can take as little as 2-3 generations to heal these communities. The way things are set up now, people are meant to be in a perpetual loop of need, desperation and subliminal self-loathing. There's as much of a mental war going on outside as it is a physical one.

    • @channelZER01
      @channelZER01 10 месяцев назад

      That's false. Many people in the community knew him personally and said he was an average kid, his family got tons of donations including from the family of the young girl he killed. The media blew alot of things up. No one celebrated when an 11 year was murdered. And that's not exactly what happened. The uncle of the girl that was killed was a well known figure in Chicago it was either give up yummy or start a war. An 11 year old can't testify to anything.

Yummy was on a tear dayum near his entire short 11 years. I had friends and associated who were BD's and even I was upset but they were afraid he was going to bring a lot of folks down he was hot . He was trying to shoot at some GD's trying to make his bones but hit and killed a 14 year old girl and was on the run. The ones that were hiding him got orders to kill him to prevent others going to prison. ps BD's and GD's were at serious war 94-95 big time Englewood(my hood) and Wild Wild Hundreds(Yummy's hood) were war zones

    I remember hearing bout this growing up from my Ol Heads in da Chi. He did a show in Milwaukee (Chicago's Backporch), that was booked by and filled with GDs. He thought the GDs killed Yummy but the BDs from his own set did it because he killed a lil girl on accident shooting at his OPPs and it made the news.
    "RIP TO NATASHA, LIL YUMMY, N KATO"...

      The Hardaway brothers were not from his set. They came in and told him they were taking him out of town so they can keep him from the police but the truth was they were brought in to kill him...

      I'm not a internet dude so I won't go back n forth about the details of Chicago street shit Beloved. I'm from Englewood (GD BD national headquarters). Yummy was BD from the Wild 100s. His set greenlighted the hit cuz they thought he was too young and would start snitching if he got in an interrogation room after making the news for killing a lil girl. Yummy also had bodies before that and knew too much about his his set. Again not tryna go back n forth you but it be too much misinformation about Chicago from too many outta town Stans clout chasing our wave so i just want to explain the overview for those who may be wondering. Yummy's murder was "Nation Bizness"

      "In the eyes of Shorty Freeman the little dude had to go".... Congratulations you just played yourself hahahahah. BJ was n da Feds when Yummy got whacked. He left Marvell and Fido (Fido caught life in the 96), in charge of the day to day operations of the BDs all thru the late 80s, 90s, and Mid 2000s until the Feds got Marvell in 04 while he was gone til he gotta out of the Feds around 08. When you hear niggas nowadays yelling out "OTF, TAYTOWN, OR LAMRON, it use to be called "D Town". I grew up on Lamron, (Normal Ave). I went to Englewood High School and grew up with his nephew T.Y. He wasn't even involved in the Yummy shit Goofey. I met BJ (King Shorty's nickname in case you got confused), a few times when he came on my block to visit one of his close friends Lefty (RIP, natural causes), from the King David days. The nigga use to ride in a caravan in Englewood when he would hop out on whatever block he wanted to. You just proved with that statement that you don't know shit you internet goofey.

      Correct. Yummy was a Black Disciple. The Hardaway Brothers were BDs and from the same Set in Rosewood/Chicago. The BD Ambassadors set up the Hit because he accidently killed his Neighbor Shavon Dean who was 14 years old.

    Yummy and I were the same age. He grew up on the south side and I on the west side. I frequented the area that he grew up in because my family is scattered throughout Chicago. That year that he died, Mayor Daley wanted all of the youth to attend his funeral, I guess as sort of a "precautionary tale" but my mom would not allow me to go, I was 11 then. His story haunts me til this day. 11? DAMN!

    They sent Yummy to go kill a specific person taking advantage of him because he didn’t have a family or friends and couldn’t go to jail because of his age at the time, and the gun he was given apparently was too powerful for him making him shoot an innocent girl instead of his target. Then the gang had 2 young brothers go and kill yummy afraid he’d snitch and they did it because he made the neighborhood hot. The funny part is the 2 brothers ended up snitching 😂🤣

    That show didn't happen in chicago it was in milwaukee and 2pac had problems when he got locked up in indiana prison over that situation in milwaukee, The main reason Suge bail him fast, they were at him, in the movie he was kept in isolation that was why, He had a hit on him but everybody thought it was NY but it was chicago. And he never mention BD/GD again after that. Im not downing the man i loved pac music and what he stood for but keepin it real, pac got killed because he didnt understand different cities politics, NY shot him because he he moved with wrong crowd after he was warned, He spoke on nation business in MIL/CHI and almost got dealt with, Then went out to LA and got caught in a culture he just didnt understand.

    Vlad has to do better research. Yumi was killed because he killed a 14 year old girl by accident, after he started busting off shots for no reason during what was supposed to be a shoot out. After the shootout they were hiding Yumi, but after realizing that he was probably going to end up telling, they convinced to young members to take him out to a tunnell and off him. Those kids are now men and are both in prison. Yumi was out of control and he came from a terrible home, his mom was a prositute and his Grandmother supposedly was pimping women. His house was a disaster and he was in and out homes as well as his siblings.
