  • Outlawz members Young Noble, Napoleon, and EDI Mean spoke to Vlad about their different reactions to the 2Pac movie "All Eyez on Me," and specify the unique challenges that come along with attempting to portray an almost mythical figure like 2Pac. The trio discussed Demetrius Shipp's portrayal of Pac, Jada Pinkett's reaction to her depiction in the film, and the fact that this time around, it was someone from within the culture--LT Hutton--who brought the project to life. Watch the clip above.

      I wouldn't say all that, 2Pac and Kadafi are usually said to be the leaders within the group. Napoloean could've had say since he was one of the Day 1 members (him, Kastro, EDI) or maybe just one of the more loyal ones.

    • @ericdxfan511
      @ericdxfan511 7 лет назад +5

      A 2Pac movie could've easily been done without it being a short series. They just wasted time on a bunch of bullshit that could've easily been cut out such as him doing scenes from Juice and Above The Rim.

  • @qb9496

    I don't think it was the worst movie ever, but they could have explored more into the different aspects of tupac's life. For example, explore more into tupac's mother and step fathers life and how tupac grew up around them. Also, explore his days in the baltimore area and school. I mean give us some meat and potatoes and not a vegan meal, which we got, so unsatisfying. And, shipp should've been more committed with the tupac character, meaning show more passion,frustration, and eagerness to get people into a better work ethic and militant mindset. It seemed as if he didn't want to commit in fear that, just like pac, he could get lost into that character in real life. I really wanted to like this move, but I left the theater feeling like I didn't learn anything about how pac was nurtured into who he became. I think we got the front cover story, and not the full article, smh.

    I was expecting & wanting that they'd do for Tupac what Spike Lee did for Malcolm X. He deserved that high standard. Benny Boom was a bad choice -- just look at the previous two movies he directed, both which were trash. He just doesn't have that "extra" something other directors have to take the movie to another level. He just made a straight-to-cable biopic disguised as a theatrical release.

    I say the movie was good only because like EDI said...we as fans wanted that energy back. So seeing the movie was like putting me in a time capsule. It was like watching a family member on screen. That's how much PAC meant to 80s babies. But in reality, the movie was poor. Could have been much bettter. The scenes were rushed like Mu said. I wouldn't mind another movie in a few years by some more experienced people, with the blessings of everyone.

  • @Melbelle-us6lo
    @Melbelle-us6lo 7 лет назад +14

    I agree it was rushed and there wasn't enough character development. The movie was ok just not good enough to be Pac's movie and part of his legacy. And I thought it was just me I also thought the guy that played PAC didn't do a good job. He had no passion. I cringed when I saw that infamous interview before PAC got shot at the Quad studio. I agree with napolean about the fire. U don't have to look like a person to do a good job, Denzel killed Malcom X role and looked nothing like Malcom

    The actor who play Pac was great, I think the producers just made a montage of Pacs highlights in life. I get it, you can't put someones life, esp one with such a dynamic career into 2 hours. However, I do think Pac and his family deserved better.

    Our culture is full of followers....simple and plain. The movie wasn't bad at all, it wasn't amazing but these memes and these jokes influenced people to trash the film before they even saw it. Like EDI said, people are posting photos of D. Shipp OFFSET with his iPhone in his hand and now the iPhone rumor starts. But hey, once a rumor or a joke gets started then people are going to run with it instead of doing their own research. I'm a HUGE 'Pac fan and they left a lot out but if I'm a 15 year old and I don't know anything about this Tupac guy, I think the film is a good place to start. It's impossible to fit that man's life into a 2 hour movie. Every biopic ever made includes fake characters or fake scenes for entertainment purposes but for whatever reason people decided this was the movie to complain about it. He deserves a Netflix series like Narcos or something, but until then this movie is a decent introduction to 'Pac for some people.

      Justin Lamarr. The movie was sh1t.. And there is a reason why so many people didnt wanna touch it

    • @josephpaul8911
      @josephpaul8911 7 лет назад

      Justin Lamarr youre right. Same shit goes for this white supremacy lie. Idiots just run with it and act like were in time of slavery a d whatnot. Now everyone is a victim of some imaginary racism. In turn, we are becoming far more racist and hang on any lie we can about most of the people being shot by cops. Movements have been started and riots and people have died over the lies. Hands up, dont shoot is an example.
      I dont condone anyone being killed, but we need to start with the culture of violence within our people, before we TRY to place the blame on others. We just look like idiots when we do that.
      These movements are absurd. They want no laws, because they claim the laws are racist. "They criminalized black behavior". How the fuck? You mean black people cannot stop stealing, raping, killing, selling drugs, etc??
      Thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard! If its true that blacks cannot stop committing these crimes, then the problem is bigger than i even thought. But to say the white man is "making us do it", is absolutely disgusting and beyond all hope, especially if we BELIEVE it.
      Sorry i am off the subject, but what you said rings true in MANY ways. Just wanted to speak up and state some truths, because the lies are everywhere. Peace

    Napoleon is as real as it gets, if you're dumb enough to let some p.o.s in the white house tell you that Muslims are the enemy, you need to take a better look at yourself, this man after turning Muslim has stayed more true to his self and the people he cares about then ever before. That's how he can sit next to people and give his honest opinion about the movie, to two people who sold out to be in the movie.

      I have every Tupac song ever recorded in my iTunes. Unreleased, OG's, features, etc. Nobody wants to hear Watch Ya Mouth or Friend Like Me in the fucking movie. They had his most popular songs in the movie as they should. It makes no fucking sense to have those unknown songs in the movie.
