This is the first Peugeot model wearing the new Lion logo badge, like it?
The interior is filled with tech like a 3D i-Cockpit, high res center touch display, programmable i-Toggle buttons, massaging heated seats and a great Focal audio system.
This GT version is the top of the line spec, with 18" ‘Kamakura’ diamond cut two tone alloy wheels, a dark chrome chequered radiator grille and extended lower body sills to the front and side.
It has the full Matrix LED headlights with the 'fang' daytime running lights and full 3D LED ‘Claw effect’ rear lights.

@@johnnypovdrives for my needs i think i will buy the 110hp version. The only doubt is the 1.2 3 cylinder engine. Will he be able to move the mass of the 308 without any problems? I have some friends who have a peugeot 1.2 3 cylinders and they are very happy with it. They say you don't miss the 4 cylinder. I am a bit perplexed but I will try to inform myself better
@@berty8001 Well, I've driven a Peugeot 106 1.0, that made 50 hp with 4 cylinders. It was ok to drive around in flat Belgium, but it got me in trouble fully packed in the Italian Alps, there was no going up in it. So I guess it depends on the circumstances. 😄
@@johnnypovdrives I am Italian and I live near Venice and I can confirm that the Italian Alps can put you in difficulty. I currently have a Twingo 1.2 58 hp (4 cylinders) and in the plains it is fine, but when I go to the mountains I have a bit of difficulty to go up. I think that the 308 even if it is a 3 cylinder, should have no problems since with the turbine it reaches 110 hp.

Nice POV footage. Like the styling and a lot of other elements. Est £30k is an awful lot though. £27k at a push and I can see this being more successful

i took the 180 hybrid one, the boot is 360L for the hybrids, and 412 for the thermic versions (to correct what u said on the boot)

The sat nav is a bit crap at times and there’s a delay when imputing any touch button info but other than that it’s a great drive and very responsive the fuel miles remaining is a bit nonsensical as it can’t be relied upon. You can’t see the mileometer until you’ve stopped, and the rear camera sometimes jams on for no reason. My first thousand miles completed and it’s the best car I’ve ever driven.

Jolie voiture ( le blanc lui va à ravir) à part la partie arrière basse et la position de conduite avec ce petit volant.
Par contre niveau moteur je préfère de loin le moteur de la classe A (250 4matic 224 cv).

You think there’s a market for European cars? Maybe now Peugeot is a part of the Stellantis group (same as Chrysler), they might try and launch it in the US. 🤷♂️
@@johnnypovdrives Originally, there were plans, including then-Groupe PSA setting up their US headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Unfortunately, those plans were canned in favor reviving brands such as Chrysler, Dodge, and Alfa Romeo in the US market. Hopefully, we at least still get a Peugeot-even if it's rebadged as a Chrysler or Dodge.

What about handling? Thx for the video.
I don’t go into handling in-depth in these POV drives, difficult without speaking. But it felt really solid with predictable steering input and nice suspension setup. Not too fluffy and not too harsh.

@@johnnypovdrives Dat klopt wat je zegt, nochtans doen de meeste verkopers het toch :). Voor koppel klopt het wel, aangezien een DC motor het maximum koppel haalt bij het gehele bereik van toerental.

This looks better than and is more luxurious than the new Golf and A3. It also looks much better than the new 1 series and A class.
I think it looks very nice indeed! More luxurious than the Golf, not so sure compared to a new A3.
Peugeot 308 GT Is similar to Serie 1 and A Classe , Golf and A3 Is very simpli and cheap interio material and exterior design outdate. Peugeot a very good investment in new 308 .

I don't know if it is more beautiful than Mazda 3. And Mazda 3 has a more beautiful interior and better interior quality. The problem with this car is that is very expensive. This hybrid version in the top trim is 42-43k euro.

@@pap_chr5063 Mazda ugly? Are you serious? Mazda 3 got the Red Dot award in 2019. Mazda 3 has a simple minimalist design outside and on the interior. The interior is not outdated. A minimalist design will always look good. Peugeot interior looks to busy. With too many lines, angles, color combinations. As for the quality, Mazda 3 even in the lower trims has leather on the dashboard, center console, and on the doors. Not just plastic like Peugeot.

One of Peugeots strengths is their reliability (I have owned Peugeots for 45 years). My present 308 2L diesel has 150,000 kms - just been run in.
7.5 seconds is quite slow for 230 hp? Or am I wrong
yes. I had a Focus ST with 225 hp that did the 0 to 100 in 6.8 seconds

I’ve owned 2 Peugeots some years ago and I didn’t have any reliability problems. No idea what it’s like these days though. 🤷♂️
Reliability is one of their trademarks. Had Pugs for 45 years - very reliable (and we've travelled huge distances - I live in Australia)
Transition animation is looks slowly
There is slight delay, but imagine it also has the 3D building up (which I can’t show on camera).
Coming from Japanese car, this French feels and drive sweet.
Not gonna beat those german but probably on par with VW Golf same batch.

La 2nde 308 était vraiment réussi, et celle ci j'en parle même pas. Pareil pour la 3008, la première était vraiment bof mais l'actuelle est superbe, la 508 : pareil. La première était dégueulasse, la seconde qui à des air de mustang, en break je la trouve sublime.
C'est simple, si les étrangers ne crachent plus sur Peugeot c' est bien parce-qu'ils sont enfin rentrés dans le moule. Et ce 'nouveau' logo 😳. Depuis les année 90 je le trouvais merdique. Ils se sont vraiment sortis les doigts du cul niveau design extérieur
Exactement, la 508 est sur mon radar depuis la version RXH, super belle voiture et concurrente de l'Audi A4 Allroad. Et aujourd'hui, j'ai appris une nouvelle expression française : "se sortir les doigts du cul". Merci! 👌😄

@@silimarina. but neither are hybrids. Hybrids & EV cars are generally a bit more expensive. I love the Golf R with the Akrapovic... It just wouldn't be a good buy anymore with all the extra taxes and the current petrol prices. I'd wait for the Golf E-R, 4 wheel drive with 2 electromotors for the 2 axes + the engine of the R. That would be fun...
I've just about an AMG CLA 45 381HP from 2016 and 45000KM for 39K€. Not a brand new car, but way more powerful, pretty and luxurious that this boring car that tries to look futuristic.

It is very solid if you compare it to a Dacia. Some things are plasticky indeed, but everything is quite solid.
I sat in an a class and then in this. This has better quality than a class, peugeots especially the new are known for their good interior quality
