You can't uproot Russia's deep seated hierarchical structures. Even Communism, supposedly the ideology that is the most extreme in its anti-hierarchical mechanisms, as in the ideology that tries the hardest to destroy hierarchies, FAILS and even does the opposite. Communism actually EMPOWERED the existing power structures in Russia. The Secretary-General has even more power than the Tsar. The only way to remove it is either through time, hundreds of years of slow reform, or a complete radical upheaval, where the old generations all die, or are removed from power, and the new enlightened generation takes power.

During 20 summer governor Furgal was arrested because of corruption accusations and murder of his industrial opponent in 90s. But people thought that was plot of central government, because after Vyacheslav which everyone is tired of he started to do reforms. He started to crack corruption and prices went down. When he was deposed and told that he would be replaced by a man who had previously never been in Khabarovsk or ever had a similar position people went to streets with slogans "Свободу Фургалу!/Freedom to Furgal!", every weekends people go out to streets and then slogan "Putin's resignation". On the Russian passport, it is written Citizenship: Russian Federation and not Russian because being Russian is determined at birth, namely those who are born of Russian parents, therefore slabes. To return to the ethnic level, according to the works of Viktor Valerianvitch Bounak published by the Academy of Sciences of the USSR or those of Mikhail Vladimirovitch such as, Anthropological data as a source on the history of the colonization of the Russian North published in Moscow by the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1997 and in many other scientific works of course; the Russian people actually appears to be relatively “homogeneous” and at least fully European in the sense of worship as well as ethnicity and genetics. The Russian populations do not differ from the native western European populations at the level of the phenotype, or anthropology in any case. In reality, within populations of the Russian ethnic group or so-called ethnic Russians, there is an almost zero or even extremely low frequency of genetic characteristics of Mongoloid populations. The frequencies of East Eurasian markers in Russians correspond to average markers in the rest of Europe. Moreover, a study of autosomal markers also approximates northern Russians (i.e. the area from present-day Saint Petersburg to Velikiy Ustyug) to other European peoples and casts doubt on the Finno-Ugric migration stratum within Russian genetic fund of this region. These data make it possible to put forward the hypothesis of the conservation in these territories of the Paleo-European substrate of the protohistory of antiquity which subsequently experienced the intense migrations of the Slavic tribes. This was confirmed during the genogeographic expeditions of the Medical-Genetic Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences between 2000 and 2008, more than 10,000 DNA samples were collected and analyzed from people of Russian nationality and all are genetically fully European.MALYARCHUK, B., DERENK, M., GRZYBOVSKY, T., Differentiation of Mitochondrial DNA and Y Chromosomes in Russian Populations, Detroit, 2004, vol 76 p. 877-890 During the Mongol rule, the Russians lived in the grasslands and wooded regions, while the Mongols themselves lived hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away in the steppes to the south of present-day Volgograd, in Tartary, which would later become part of Tatarstan and also the region corresponding to Kazakhstan, but not within Russian territory. The capital of the Golden Horde, Sarai or Sarai Batu, founded in 1240, was located in the present-day Astrakhan Oblast. The Mongols did not live among the Russians but rather kept to themselves and lived at a considerable distance. When the Mongols came to Russian territory, it was usually the Khan and his court for tribute purposes, or there were tax collectors. There was little intermingling, except perhaps in Tartary. The majority of present-day Tatars have a European appearance, often with light hair and light eyes. Furthermore, Russia played a crucial role in saving the rest of Europe from the Mongols, especially the victory of the Russian principality troops under the command of Grand Prince Dmitry Donskoy in the Battle of Kulikovo on September 8, 1380. Just as the French have Charles Martel, Russia has Dmitry I.Many testimonies support this, including that of Archdeacon Paul of Aleppo, who visited Russia and specifically Muscovy between 1654 and 1656. He left detailed descriptions of Russia, noting that in every man's house, there were ten children or more with white hair on their heads, and for their great fairness, they were called old men. He also mentioned that the women in the land of the Muscovites were beautiful in appearance, and their children resembled those of the Franks but with rosier complexions. During the time of Herodotus in antiquity, the European world sometimes extended as far as the Ural Mountains, or even to the gates of Altai, as the entirety of the Scythians (an Indo-European people) was often integrated into the European world. In the 15th century, Western European geographers established the boundary of Europe beyond Nizhny Novgorod, in the present-day Kërzhenskiy Nature Reserve. To the east was Tartary, although some Volga Tatars were Scythians (i.e., culturally Turkicized Europoids). The current geographic division between Europe and Asia in Russia was established 300 years ago in the Ural Mountains, and at that time, it made sense according to the geographer who drew the border, namely Vassili Tatitchev, who reasoned from an ethno-civilizational perspective. This delineation was first confirmed by the Swedish military officer of German origin, Philipp Johann von Strahlenberg. So, from a geographical standpoint, considering the geography of Peter the Great's era, Russia lies between two continents, although this was genuinely the case 300 years ago. Now, when you travel to Irkutsk or Novosibirsk, you find yourself in Europe in terms of population, mentality, architecture in Irkutsk, and so forth. In my opinion, if we consider the logic of Greek geographers like Herodotus or 18th-century geographers, today we should speak of Europe from the Atlantic to Vladivostok.

No, authoritarian is a part of culture. Novgorod was doomed due to degeneracy of its state structure. Weakness of its state and lack of mobilizing ability lead to being conquered by muscovite state machine. Novgorod to prevent threat to democracy and cut expenses relied on militia when tyrannical Moscow stacked on *almost* regular army. Result is obvious.
Russia is not Rus. They were called differently. Muscovy, the Moscow principality, the Moscow tsardom. The name Rus (in greek - Russia) was stolen by Peter I in 1721 from Kyiv who proclaimed his state an empire. In fact, Russia has the same attitude to Rus as the guinea pig to the sea

In my opinion, if we consider the logic of Greek geographers like Herodotus or 18th-century geographers, today we should speak of Europe from the Atlantic to Vladivostok.

krauts stuff is incredibly over-hyped and is also just quite bad history. He gets an irredeemable amount of stuff wrong and seems to falling into the classic mistake of coming to a conclusion and then trying to find evidence to back it up. Noj Rants did a video that details exactly what was wrong and for the most part, it seems that both proper historians and Russians in general agree with his assessment more.
Peasants provide food. That's important.
10:26 The music is named "from russia with love" **thank me later**
For those kissing Kraut's bratwurst just know that this same guy was caught several years ago running Discord operations to censor people he didn't like.
Yeah, Kraut used to make some questionable stuff in the past (his video on why islam is a threat to europe is noticeably missing from his uploads now), but his more recent videos have been top notch
The video is still really good. It sucks that a lot of content creators are shitty people in some aspects of life, but no one's perfect. (Sad thing about it is that people don't have a mirror and think they are right in everything they do :( )

The pope is argentinian and when he went to chat to a journalist there he said that the Menem (Political leader and candidate to president) is remembering him of what Hitler did back in the day. I couldn't believe it, such a hilarious moment xd.
He only focuses on how Mongols were like really bad people, but they left Moscow because they surrendered in the end, this Mongols were seen as uneducated nomads who are basically sub humans , that's why whenever Mongols attempted diplomacy, their diplomats would return dead because they didn't see Mongols as equals, so they conquerord every single kingdom that humaliated them, ended civilizations and began their own. Genghis khan brother was killed and he became so traumatised, angry and emotional. He ordered every territory to be burned to the ground and there should be no poets alive to record this event.

Tommy, you don't need to be baptized to be Christian
Pokofiev / Dance of the Knights it is.
There were mistakes in that video, Kyivan Rus included Novgorod and was all of that territory, it wasn't called Russia, it's the name Russians gave themselves later. Rus is the original, Russia is a cheep sequel
Russia is not a sequl, but the next step of historical development.
Хотя зачем я пишу это Олександру...

Yes, we are not a European authoritarian state. Problems?
1:53 ...yes, it is...and whatever mr.Putin says that 'Ukraine isn't a real country', in fact Ukraine is OLDER than Russia...!
*Ukraines currently used emblem(not Ukrainian state itself)
@@notia4u783 Still Ukrainian culture is older than russian culture
Ukraine is not older then Russia, it is eather of similar age or younger, since it was born in the late Middle Ages.
Similarly, Spain isn't really younger then Italy.
The oligarch have no wealth. Calling them oligarchs is a misnomer. They are managers, their money is the states.
All that land that has traditional helped them survive invasion is kind of useless when we have missiles and aircraft that can strike anywhere in the country.
You are thinking it as if only you have the missiles remember western Europe is hotbed of populations
Germans had air control over Soviet union during ww2 but still lost because Russians had better anti aircraft guns. And those planes can be spotted also jeez, land army is not going to be absolute, and it help them in so many ways. the polish, Swedish, French, Germans attacks were repealed.
Russians are not slavs, research on this...
Kievan Rus firstly attacked the mongols while they offered diplomatic relations with them at their first encounter.
Mongols were famous liars, weren't they?
And Kotyan had good relations with a good amount of Russian knyazes
You don’t need baptism to go to heaven, it’s just a means of control. The church says you have to go to the church to get baptized and the church tells you if you don’t get baptized you will go to hell. That’s control in life and control in death.
This video is literally explaining the foundation of the authoritarian culture
Russia is not Rus. They were called differently. Muscovy, the Moscow principality, the Moscow tsardom. The name Rus (in greek - Russia) was stolen by Peter I in 1721 from Kyiv who proclaimed his state an empire. In fact, Russia has the same attitude to Rus as the guinea pig to the sea

Прикольно. Хотя что я хочу от националиста?
Nonsense(I'm ukrainian)
Russia is grec word to describe Rus(Ukraine), but those bastards took it as theirs in the 18th century by calling moscovy russian empire, actually has nothing to do with Rus, even if you say that rurik created Rus etc, that's nonsense, as people were calling themselves ruthenians(rusins) long before he stepped in, and I'm not even taking into consideration that Novgorod was one of regions of Rus who paid tribute to polans (the tribe from Kyiv region and that was basically the most powerful and ruled the Rus(capital)) and that rurik being born in Rus, can't suddenly call himself with a grec word instead of old slavic and become a moscovite, who weren't existing in the time.
