No doubt Joy will find the toy-boy she is looking for!
Please tell her to remember that the secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.
The second thing is that Foreigners over 65 get a free Bus Pass, so she’ll need to get a season ticket!

So I’ll get right to the point. I’ve found myself in a very unusual/ unique situation (relationship) and could use some advice from someone like yourself that might have a better take on it. I would even be will to collaborate with you and make a video about this story if thats in the cards later down the line to share my story for your channel.
Is there any other way for us to connect and speak more detail on this matter?

I was one of those asking for interviews with older Filipinos and really appreciate the effort you put into finding them for us. My choice in a Filipino would be a widow in her 50's and above who have lived life and have a myrid of life experiences that you do not find in a young Filipina. Joy is still frisky in her 50's which is great to hear for those of us who are still young at heart (and don't need a blue pill yet 😉). I got married to a Filipina when both of us were in her 30s. It was a first (and only) marriage for both of us. I really wanted someone close to my own age. Quite apart from anything else, it has meant that we are now both growing old together.
At the same time, I know a few Filipinas who are now in their forties and fifties who have never married or had a partner. It's just simply the hand that life has dealt them. My wife's best friend and former workmate is one. She's the same age as me, but just hasn't found anyone.
Edit: Pea, as I'm sure you're aware, foreign men tend to look for love in the Philippines, not so much because they don't like Western women, but rather because Western women don't like THEM. I myself am an excellent example. Around the time that I got married, I used to get local women whining at me "Why a Filipina? What's wrong with New Zealand girls?" The fact is it wasn't me that didn't want NZ girls, it was NZ girls who didn't want me!

I was lucky because I was introduced to her by one of her younger sisters who lived in the same suburb as me in Australia. We met online, she came to Australia less than two months later, and we married in my hometown in Australia just three months after meeting online. I followed her to the Philippines in late August 2017, and we have lived in Cagayan de Oro City Mindanao Philippines since then. We have no children together, but I have five adult step-daughters and five step-granddaughters and a step-grandson here. She has a step-daughter in Australia and a step-son as well. She loves my son Donovan especially because she never had a son of her own! I have had people say online "Why didn't you get a newer model?". I said to them "Because they are too much trouble!". Ling is fluent in English and six Filipino languages, including her tribal language, Higaonon Binukid. I'm "Becoming Bisaya" (sorry na Kulas!). @donskuse2194 Год назад +2

Charles, I must say that I agree with 'Peaceful Music' here. It doesn't really matter that five of her six children are adults now. Their future needs, and the needs of the grandchildren to come, will always be foremost in her mind, and because of that conflict between you and her and the rest of the family is inevitable.
I would suggest that you rent out your home in the US for at least the first year that you're in the Philippines, and live off of those rental proceeds until you've assessed what it's like there with your partner and her family. No matter what your LDR partner may have said most Filipinos believe all westerners are rich.
Your nest egg from selling your US home will go much quicker than you can even imagine. If you're committed to your current plan 'come hell or high water' then please consider buying a home there that's only in YOUR name. You can't own land there, so if you buy or build a house get a lawyer there and first ensure a lease on the land IN YOUR NAME ONLY for 25 years, with an option to renew that for 25 more years if you so wish.
Draw up two wills, one in the US and one in the Philippines, and state in each that if you die within the first 25 years your Filipino home must be sold and the proceeds will go to loved ones back home or to a charity specifically named in your will. If you have American pensions coming to you and a wife gets first dibs on them when you die then you've also incentivized untrustworthy people there in thinking that they don't need you around in order to have a sound financial future. I wish you all the best because true love and commitment is what all of us are searching for. Unfortunately most of us wear blinders during our search.
All of these suggestions will ensure that your new wife and her family will take better care of you than even the good Lord himself!

Your interview with Joy brought a smile to this old man once again Pea. Joy said she would still have kids and that is the biggest reason I would not want a younger Filipina. To me it would not be fair to the young person that their father is an old man and might not be able to share in the more active rolls that a father should. The comparison between old and new generations is striking and the changes within cultures far reaching with the advent of technology and social media. Interesting interview today. I hope your new friend wasn't lonely during the 14 years after her husband passed away. It seems her views on marrying an older man reflect those of younger Filipinas. I like how she would like to spend a lot of time cuddling with her future husband. Cuddling sounds great.

More than we would have if she were 25 and I were 52. The older woman is likely to come with less baggage than the younger ones. She's seen more of life and may well see more in you than just your income. Fellas there may be fewer available older women but they are there and many of them are pure gold.

America, that one you knew when you were growing up, is gone. You all better start working on your "plan B" because you are going to need it.

Hi Pea, my fiancé and I watched this vlog of yours before our wedding and kept on thinking of sending a comment after our civil wedding.
Now, he is my husband. We got married last October 26 this year.
We met on an online dating app way back September 28,2020 but it took 18 months before we finally met in person . I was once a public school teacher and being a former government employee I don’t have time to social that much so I tried my luck about online dating. I was a NBSB before I met him. 😅
He was my first boyfriend . I even told him that I want my boyfriend to be my best friend(in which I can confide with things that I wanna share)lover and husband soon( and it did happen finally💕🥰).
We do have an age gap of 21 years . One thing that people in the Philippines would notice upon his first and second visit but I told him in the first place just be ourselves and don’t mind them at all.
I am now living in his country and I don’t have any stares seen from people around here like for example if we walk around the suburbs or in the city holding hands.
It was really nice to know in your vlog that despite of having a big age gap ,the couple stayed married for such a long time. 😊

Sadly, the chances of Ate Joy finding a 73 year old Westerner who is prepared to learn a foreign language are pretty remote. At 73, Western guys don't want to have to struggle to understand their new wife. On the other hand, she was very brave to be interviewed, and I pray that she can find someone suitable. My own personal story involves finding an OFW (Filipina) while working in Kong Kong (I am a Westerner). My now wife's English was very good since English is (or at least has been) widely used in Hong Kong. Although her boss was Hong Kong Chinese, the children of the family used mainly English at home. My Filipina started working as an OFW early in her life and had not married before leaving home (i.e. the Philippines) and had no children. I consider myself very fortunate. The age difference is 14 years. She is now 49, but we have been apart (due to COVID) for the past almost 3 years. Looking forward to getting back to the Philippines early next year, and bringing my wife to Australia.
I think it might be worth your while interviewing OFWs during their annual / biannual holiday back in the Philippines to get their stories about life, working hard overseas to support their parents and families back home. OFWs are a broad range of ages, and to me, they exhibit a great characteristic of love and suffering to ensure family survive as best as possible. In any case, as I am sure you are aware, remittances from OFWs is one of the largest sources of income for the Philippines (and money dealers such as WU!). Keep up the amazing effort that you always put in, Pea. Cheers.

English is widely used in the Philippines too although some of the older generation have more trouble speaking it but hey love finds a way. I've seen lots of old men there with younger women but most of the old guys I know there have women their own age. It all works out I have spent as much as four plus years at a time away from my family just because I had to work to make our life better right now I have spent another 2 1/2 years away from them

I remember several years ago when my wife said how lucky she was that she married a man who didn't hit her. Unfortunately, that type of behavior is often overlooked there in the Philippines. 😥😥

For the guys that have never visited. These women are stunning beautiful and know how to pull at your heartstrings. When you “click” I promise you age, a child, poverty, won’t matter at all. Just know “your” limits and be honest with her about the future. It pays off I promise.

    Very interesting Pea:
How long did it take you to find that needle in the haystack?
I'll bet finding a single woman over the age of 30 in the Philippines is kinda like finding a third year high school student here in Canada that is still a virgin.
Good video Pea! keep up the great work.

I love her attitude and energy. She is a very good choice for someone looking for an older woman. I'm not in my 70's, I'm 53 and looking for someone younger myself, but I'm confident she will find someone.

Another thing that an older women may offer differently from a much younger Filipina is cleaner skin. I see a trend in young Filipinas to tattoo everything on their body. I have never understood why anyone would like a cartoon or a paragraph of words so much that they want to permanently apply it to their body for the rest of their life. A big turn off for me. Less likely to see on an older woman in the Philippines.

This was a fantastic to interview. I just turned 50 last month myself. My long term plan is to retire to the Philippines. Along with that learning Tagalog is at the top of my list. You might have been speaking bisayan which I want to learn too. She would be someone I could see pursuing since I could meet her in the middle. But I am sure you will be getting plenty of contact requests for her info.
