I honestly dont care too much that we lost pve now looming back. I play overwatch for pvp, even if they made an amazing pve, i would still play overwatch mainly for pvp.

I know!!! I remember one time I was playing and I wasn't sure if they had a hog. Well as soon as I got hooked my best friend's uncle slipped out of me!!! Imagine getting hooked and unhooked at the same times. Luckily even though he's hog size he's as nimble as genji and went back in his hole. Super is my best friend's uncle.

you know what they should do, put their focus on "the forge" and upgrade the possibilities so that the players can actually develop the shit that needs to be themselves so we'll have even better coop missions being created
I've been saying they should make a Forge type situation through workshop so we could make our own story pve stuff and even our own maps and whatnot, but if they take 4 years to make and then cancel a campaign, we're at least a good 10 years out for anything close to that. Clown game.
They should have done a character every season. So they slowly roll out character arks like add one or two charctors with there skill tree at a time and build up each charctors story then go into main event when all the characters are all in. So they don't have to make one full game at once and we still get what they promised but I have no idea where they were going with the story. Character origin missions would have been cool though.
It's kinda cute how much respect Super has for Smurf. I've never seen him compliment anybody except himself but when Smurfs in the lobby he always treats him like he's worth paying attention to. Thats alot coming from Super

I tried to be optimistic for so long. As a person, I tend to view video games as an art medium with a history and a future worth giving a shit about. For this reason I never fully gave up on Blizzard. After all in a time not too long ago they were mentioned in the same breath as Valve as one of the most beloved and influential game companies on the market. Even through Covid and the scandals, I still didn’t give up hope because I knew that some good people like Aaron Keller still worked there. To be clear it’s the suits and higher ups who pulled the trigger, not Team 4, they are just the ones caught in the crossfire of the decision. I also didn’t want to give up because well, I love Overwatch. It is the most fun I ever had in a shooter. Period. And I do deeply care about it’s story, characters, and lore, and it’s for that reason this is all so heartbreaking. I mean what wasted potential. For 4-5 years the primary excuse for why Overwatch 1 and even currently Overwatch 2 are in such a state was because the main team was busy on the replayable PvE story mode this world, these characters, deserve. That was the copium we all huffed. But now we know that not only was it all for nothing, they lied. It’s important to note that PvE wasn’t cancelled a week ago and they are breaking the news, no PvE was cancelled before OW2 even launched, and they didn’t deem it necessary to disclose that info for 4 seasons, hell they kept lying even till recently. Before Starwatch dropped they basically said “Starwatch is testing PvE elements! Get excited! Buy the Battlepass!” Only to pull the rug out from under us. I bought every battlepass since launch because I wanted to support a game I knew could be better, and I gave Blizzard’s shareholders exactly what they wanted. They got my money, so now they stab me in the back and run. Doesn’t matter that I uninstalled OW2 the day after the news was broke, I already paid the price of a full game which OW2 is not. It’s embarrassing that the PvP is so bad when the entire team has been on it since before launch. Hog and Sombra have needed reworks since launch and they’re slated for “Season 7 and beyond”. That’s the full team’s work there. What a joke. That’s not good enough.
The beauty of video games and story telling is that you get to truly feel like you are there. Sure you’re subconsciously aware that all you are doing is staring at a glowing rectangle and pressing buttons, but at least on some level, anyone who plays video games can agree they can be immersed. They control the characters, and by extension become part of the story. It’s something movies and books just can’t do. That’s not something we are allowed to have for the world of Overwatch.
So yeah. I’m just done. With all the lies, all the buying of meaningless skins for a game who doesn’t even care for the characters who wear them. Blizzard’s higher ups have no respect for what Overwatch was and what it could be, so why would I give a shit about what it is now. They not only let me down, they let Winston down. They let Lucio down, they let Reinhardt down. Because now we will never get story or character development in a way that is meaningful. Just comics, books, short animations, and temporary custom games that crawl the story forward every 6 months.
I'm sorry yall they were preoccupied looking for my dad for the past 3.5 years. I'm sure he's probably dead bc the OW devs promised they would find him and are sooooo dedicated they would have found him otherwise .
