Carter: 40 yrs HfH was penance for his economic policies raising 4% variable rate home loans to over 20%. Millions became homeless in USA...😢 Price of gas went up 4x, 5x, limited to 5 gallons a week & had to wait hours in line. Your car would use 6 gallons of gas while you were waiting to buy 5. Masters & PHDs were working at gas stations & clerks at stores, BS and high school, you were out of work for 1 to 2 years or longer until Reagan came along.

wasn't just rich kids that went to Canada. Vietnam by every measure was a stain on the history of America. A proxy war that literally sacrificed over 58,000 American lives for no definable benefit to the United States. The fact that people refused to participate doesn't make them dishonorable.

A family of four forced into buying a home in the new area and I can assure you the interest rate at the time and this is not a misprint, 14.75% for 30 years. Why was it that high and for that long, because they could get away with it. We refinanced many times as interest rates dropped and paid it off in less than 15 years with no help from Jimmy Carter. Don’t get me started on fuel prices.

Most interesting is to hear some of Jimmy Carter’s campaign speeches as he vied (for consideration) to run as the Democrat Party choice for the Presidency. As he attained that endorsement and eventually became President…the Democrat Party moulded him another direction from his original personal political beliefs. My recollection was that Mr. Carter was a very high ranking naval officer aboard a nuclear submarine…right off the Captain’s elbow. You have to be a very, very sharp/smart individual to earn that spot. Slings & Arrows aside, Mr. O Reilly states it well…Jimmy Carter was a PATRIOT ! R.I.P. That said however O'Reilly is ironically correct here for one critical point. Carter tried to be a good president. Unlike Clinton and Obama and then quite unlike the puppeteers including Obama who controlled Biden there's no doubt Carter meant well. He was a good man in the colloquial sense of being a good man.
