In my opinion, rockstar is the best game developer out there. They're independent, do their own thing, and dont bandwagon, or follow gaming trends. Rockstar is not independent, they're owned by Take-Two Interactive and they do follow trends when it comes to monetization IE: GTA ONLINE AND RED DEAD ONLINE.
A lot of American companies make their products in China because the US dollar is worth a lot in China, making it very cheap to manufacture products in China.
You have to understand the licensing issues with using American products, just think of how expensive it would be to use the names of Winchester Smith and wessen Remington
