She won Norway’s Got Talent at 8 years old with 46% of the vote in the finals with 10 acts, she auditioned at 7 with Gloomy Sunday and everyone in the music industry made their way to Norway to see her in the flesh, but her mother and extended family shut the door on them to preserve her childhood, so it’s not surprising that you weren’t exposed to her even though she had a worldwide presence. Prodigy suits her! She worked very hard between the ages of 7 and 12 to refine her artistry, when you go back, and I think you should, you can see the development progression, and it’s funny than now after a decade she is reinventing herself, and I would expect that the next 5 years will be uncertain, but she will emerge as a superstar, and I’m sure that Jazz musicians and singers are different from other kinds of artists, they might not fill stadiums like pop and rock performers, but their sustainability is life long.
The first thing I think of that has changed my view when listening to Angelina is: Finally quality music by a quality vocalist without equal. Stop listening to artists who are made of autotune, bikinis, and sex, and who are unable to recreate this live. Maybe Angelina can wake us up? Angelina knows she is beautiful, but shows off with elegance and vocals that are often better live than the studio version. In a few years, she will probably be a world star who has followed her own path, and not sold herself the cheap way. Few are close to her, and she is only 18 years old today!

All us fans agree she would have probably won this competition too if her family had agreed to sign a contract with Simon Cowl's label, but like they did after she won in Norway, they refused to sign her into a contract that would basically rob her of her childhood. For that, we say kudos for them.

Finally after 2 years of Simon trying to get her on the show, he relinquished & offered a one-off contract for her to sing only. He needed the ratings & she needed the exposure to the American audience, so everyone was happy with the outcome.
Angelina is doing quality music 🎶 along her own special way and let us feel the greatest Jazz with deep emotions like no others. Pride is almost always felt for some one that is a close relative or at the very least some one you are close to. I have never in my life seen anything close to this phenomenon of Angelina inducing a feeling of pride from so many people that have never even met her. I have stated this often but I think the world is only gonna get one of her. I only hope we can have enough of an effect to increase her audience.

She was AGTs runner up (I think) and was in the top 10 on AGTs Campions show. Bohemian Rhapsody was her first song on AGT getting Heidi Klum’s golden buzzard and Simon was truly impressed with Angelina as well. I think Simon even went on to endorse her for some events. Check out Angelina and David Foster, and in 2018 she sang “Fly me to the moon” for Quincy Jones 85th Birthday. The video also shares a bit of their bonding. It’s worth checking out.
