- In today's video we take a spin with the NEW Arrma MOJAVE GROM! This much anticipated little RC truck has been enjoying a lot of HYPE, but is it ACTUALLY good? Let's find out!
I love this little thing. More fun than any other small scale I've owned (a lot). Low top speed, but it's amazing in literally every other way. Super tough, super cheap parts, super easy to work on, and handles just as you would expect a tiny Mojave to handle. 10/10 in my books.
I couldn't agree more. After 2 minutes, the speed escaped my mind completely because I was just enjoying the drive!

What really surprised even more than the speed comparing it to the awesome 1/14 scale hbx is the minimal size difference between the two and the Arrma being a 1/18! Ihave the 3100a and it’s an awesome rig for the money, it’s a bit faster when you put a 1800 mah lipo in it. Believe I got like 26 or27 mph. That Arrma is sweet though! I’ve got one on back order.very excited! Epic video and shakedowns friend!
They do make great small scale SCT rivals. Both have an advantage in certain areas that the other can't match. Both are good, both are similar in price as well.
I picked up the red and black Mojave Grom yesterday. It looks SO good. I used to have a Mojave EXB and this thing somehow looks even better despite being so much smaller. (It's the moldings on the front grill like the 4s Mojave that adds to it.)
It's a ton of fun for what is and a good companion to my Granite Grom and my kids' small RCs.
If it was brushless, omg what a little truck it would be!
Great narration. Highly intelligent. I subscribed yesterday. I have the Granite Grom and the Arrma Grom. I totally agree that the body on the Mojave Grom could not be better. I can't wait for the comparison video. Thanks for making these.

Both of my typhon grom and my Mojave grom are fast enough for me and I'm used to 50mph nitro cars it takes a while for those small electric motors to break in people don't give time for that to happen arrma did their research I'm happy with both of my trucks 😮😎👍
The consistent hole shot from the Grom is impressive for a brushed system.
It really is, I was thinking the same thing because I was expecting it to lose the majtof the drag races. It dropped one or two but it was mostly a win for the Grom, or a draw most of the time

It so good just how it comes, I'm considering not even going brushless until Arrma releases their own kit for it

We're going to do a full head to head shoot out of the two, then give one away. Give away winner picks, but we'll get them a new one. You don't want a car that's been in a Rek RC video generally hahahahaha. Though, we've been surprisingly gentle lately.
I really like the look of this Grom. The color looks excellent. The detail is great including the white lettering on the tires. As you know I have 2 Typhon Groms and I converted one to brushless but I actually like how the stock one performs off road and off jumps.
Don't ever change that logo. That's the best one yet and I really think you should keep that for good. I love it

@@RCRoadsyep, that's the key, easy to spot, easy to read. McDonald's probably used the red/yellow color scheme better than anyone else in history. Red and white is a fantastic eye catcher as well.

I just got the Typhon Grom but now I might have to add this one to the fleet too.
I do like this one more than the Typhon. The Typhon handles perfectly, but this one just feels more refined overall.

I have both the Grom and 4s Mojave (s) and I'd say this comes Way better tuned suspension and steering than it's big brother...

Yep, a bit more power and it would be as perfect a small scale SCT as there has ever been.
It's a great little truck. Mine was the one time i got to drive it. Then the battery won't charge again. Just red and green flashing. So i agree about that dumb little connector. If it was any common connector I'd still be driving.
Yep, I'm wondering how long my charger will last for that battery as well. The battery itself is good, but it's just too specific.
@@Rek_Rc yep. There's no excuse for not using an IC3 instead. There's plenty on room and cost is negligible.
I may have to snag one! I have the 6s Mojave but It really needs a ton of space to take advantage of it!
I have the same issue with my big rock 6s and maxx slash. They just need tons of space to really enjoy.

I never thought of that, but that could be really good. But seeing that the Gorgon is about the same price, I doubt it.

The Mojave is the best version, but it's just too expensive, it's not brushless, the essential upgrades (that it's competition has stock) are way overpriced.!!
I own a few Arrma's & I enjoy each of them, I'm especially loving my Infraction 3S & Limitless.!!!... I just don't know about these ones.!

I agree that it's a bit pricey for a small scale brushed rc truck. I hope the BLX versions don't exceed 200 dollars or they will price themselves right out of competition like team associated did with the reflex 14 line

They're usually around the £180/$210 mark here in the UK.
I saw them on sale around Christmas time for £145..
I've almost gotten myself one a few times, I'm sure you know how it goes... So many RCs & so little money.! 😉 😉

For a major name brand, that price really is about as good as it gets for a hobby grade RC.
As far as small scale I'll stick with my MJX fleet. I have a bunch of Arrmas but i can't get excited over this. Especially for the price.
Maybe a BLX version down the road will be more up your alley. I love MJX myself, but I'd REALLY love a factory BLX Grom
