I loved Cappadocia. We went for a walk and happened upon this orange orchard. The orange farmer invited us into his little house (also carved out of that rock) and offered us tea and grapes. He didn’t speak much English so he called his cousin Mustafa to come over from the next town so he could talk to us. The farmer had a scrap book where travellers left notes thanking him for his hospitality. He even had an Australian rugby jumper someone had given him. It’s meeting friendly people like that and sharing those moments that makes travelling awesome.
@@ayseculina I wouldn't have been alive to tell the story on YT and you wouldn't have left such a comment. So I'm glad I still have trust in people. Haha.
First thing I noticed is how you guy travel light, giving you easy access up and down stairs and moving around with ease except for the broken backpack. Great video. Thanks
You guys, this video is not the first one I watched about Turkey, but you did edit it perfectly, I belive this is one of the most massive videos that you can not skip any second, you did a great job!
I know this video is 4 years old but I just wanted to comment two things. The second smaller airport you flew from in Istanbul is named after Sabiha Gokcen. She was the world's first female fighter pilot all the way back in the 1930s! Also Cappadocia is an amazing place. Photos and videos don't quite capture it, it just has a magical vibe that is so unique. You can tell why it was a sacred place for so many cultures.
Ramadan is the most beautifull thing u can experience ❤️ i'ts not about starving yourself i'ts about humbling yourself and having a great time with family and friends ❤️
I travel to Turkey 🇹🇷 every year, never fed up. Every single place you visit, you find something special. No worries about transportation there. Ramadan is my favorite time to visit. I love the the way ppl of different nationalities and social classes gather all around one table to have a simple meal. 👍🏻
Turkey is one of my fave places. We stayed at an amazing place called Esbeli Evi (a hotel using the caves there.) This was back in the 90s so it was super cheap. Nowadays it's like a 5-star joint and costs a bundle. But we drove to Cappadocia. Was a beautiful drive.
Turkey looks great, and love your camera work & editing. Working our way through your past videos as well, makes us want to travel & record so much more than we have. ☺
Omg I definitely wanna visit Turkey and experience Ramadan, love the sense of community as everyone enjoys their first meal of the day together! And omg, that cave!! 🙌🙌

I love to see your point of view of Nevsehir - Kapadokya. It's my parents' hometown and I try to visit every year (I live in the Netherlands). Ofcourse we have seen the popular places to visit, but seeing this video and the kapadokya video of you really made me happy, since I have been following you and have watched most of your videos for years now. Thank you
I just have to tell you what an awesome video that was. You kept the story flowing and really kept my interest. The part about the end of Ramadan was really well done. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
You guys!!!!! I’m watching this vid in an airport... taking my first flight in ten years!!! I’m so excited to be traveling again! You two totally inspired me to go on a adventure. After all these years letting my fear of traveling get the best of me, I’m taking on my fear today! 💜💜💜
Your Turkey video's are making me want to go back. We did a similar trip to what you guys are doing 5 years ago. We are watching with our kids and they now keep asking when they can go. Your videos have become our nightly viewing, they are fantastic. Happy travels!!
Id binge watched your whole channel a while ago and love to see how you both evolve as a couple and seeing these amazing places. Im 21 and still young and someday want to do what you do and just see the world. You are my inspiration for wanting to travel more plus love all your food talks because I love trying new things myself. Much love and support from Nova Scotia, Canada!
If you are ever in Malaysia during Ramadan, you should go to upmarket hotels for Iftar. The buffets are amazing and very well priced. The food during Eid is even more amazing. Many Malaysian put on weight during Ramadan.
Oh thank goodness you left the room early and if you hadn't had trouble you would have heaps of time to sit and relax in the lounge instead of rushing. You did not have a good day with the bag breaking as well well at least you got where you wanted to be and great accommodation so have a great day flying tomorrow stay safe see ya
I was lucky enough to be in Sarajevo at the end of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) a few years ago and it was one of the coolest travel experiences I've ever had! They also shot off a cannon, although the celebration definitely wasn't as big as the one you saw. And people were SO welcoming and friendly and a local guy even offered me some food to share. Glad you got to experience it, can't wait for the hot air balloon ride!
I’m so glad to see people who visit the country that my mom came from and that your experiencing a lot of the culture. I remember when I went to Kapadokya whit my mom brother cousin and grandpa and on of the thing that I was very fortunate to do was to was in the valley area that they made there home in and we (I was the one who wanted to do it) got to clime in one of the homes we didn’t have a guide but a close friend of my grandpa’s who led us on the trail😁 one of my most favorite places I went on when we were in Turkey.
Kara- my mom and I also share your love of cannons! When y’all go back to Italy next you’ll have to do Rome again. There’s a cannon on a hill that goes off every day and you can be right up next to it and see the whole ceremony for free! I believe it’s the Cannon of Gianicolo.
I've seen Cappadocia on the Discovery and History channels, and it looks fascinating. I hope you get to tell us some history stories, it's an amazing place.
Travel pro tip Nate. Get a couple bungee cords for just such backpack problems. Also great for clothsline, privacy curtain, tie downs etc... Cheap and easy carry item.
Oh my goodness! I almost spit out my mouth full of coffee when Kara was lip sinking to the airline overhead announcement LOL! Great video as usual, always love the realizism (sp?) broken zippers, goofs and wrong bus. To me it makes it so much more “real life”. I am unable to travel myself, but with you, Flying the Nest, The Endless Adventure and the Awayaway; I have a fantastic private guided tours. Much love and continued safe travels from Springfield IL 🇺🇸 ❤️❤️
