Honestly I'm not even surprised. My family and I have been visiting Turkey for about 15 years and whenever something goes wrong, people are generally willing to help. My uncle went on a walk and got himself lost in the hills, managed to find a road and someone saw him and gave him a lift back to town (even though my uncle spoke no turkish and the guy spoke next to no english! they gestured and worked it out!)
I've never actually visited Turkey yet, but I flew Turkish Airlines earlier this year en route to India and back, with a longish stopover in Istanbul. I can honestly say that Turkish Airlines was the best airlines I've ever flown with; all of the Turkish employees I came into contact with were so warm and hospitable. And the Turkish food at the airport was absolutely delicious! All in all, it made me really curious about visiting Turkey, and getting to know the culture and the people.
You went from 3000 BC to 2018 AD in 30 minutes. Time travel is possible. The Apostle Paul would have covered much more territory if only there were Roman tour shuttle busses. Miraculous. :o)

I loved the 5 stages of mourning (in the previous vlog.) And then the rain, the crying (I laugh when I am upset like this) and then the sight of that beautiful bus stopping to help you. You definitely have angels watching out for you. What a great vlog!! Congrats on 300K subscribers!!
Travel Vlogs with rain , as an uninvited guest , are so rare ..... and rain is a blessing , making this vlog more realistic and awesome adventure in the middle of nowhere !.... and ......making me listening back for a few songs including 'rain' such as ' Supertramp > Its raining again ' , while watching this video ! Thanks a lot to YOU and beautiful Turkey 👍 👏👏👏👏 😉
Congrats on 300,000 subscribers you beautiful people!! You inspire me every day, and I'm so thankful you share your lives with us this way. Keep traveling, keep smiling, and continue being you! You guys deserve it all.
This video was definitely scary. I'm sure you were super worried while you were lost, soaked and cold. From someone old enough to be your mother, I worry about you two sometimes. I've watched over 500 of your videos, and sometimes I just shake my head about the things you dare to do. But the love and warmth you show for one another truly warms my heart. You two are the definition of soulmates. God bless you and protect you always.
It is an amazing country! We spent 6 weeks there earlier this year hitchhiking around the whole country and making videos about the amazing places and people!
Yay Ephesus! I was thinking you should go there when you were in Turkey ! You had a crazy last day here. No fun but it will be a funny thing to look back on. I spent a few hours last night going back in the vlogs to see the differences in your editing and style. It’s an amazing evolution guys ! Keep up the great work !
I predict that this marriage is going to last forever, real couple goals here were on display, bravo Kara and Nate (and they will be so happy they had this little adventure to tell their grandchildren about in the future)
So nice those folks in the van picked you up and didn't expect a tip....sent a month in Turkey years ago....amazing country! The history and sights are wonderful, food delicious and people warm and welcoming! Enjoy the rest of your time there!
This happened to one of my friends too a few years ago! I think it's so easy to just keep walking and not realise where you are, and then it rained on her too! In fact, I think some locals saved her too!! I'm there again next week so I'll make sure I'm careful after watching this!
I wouldnt mind being stranded, lost and stuck in a thunderstorm in Turkey haha the landscape is so beautiful there. I should add this to my bucket list. I wouldnt mind getting up 4am to go hot air ballooning and seeing the balloons early morning. You guys visit some awesome places and Id love to see a lot of places in person.
not to be masochistic but i love seeing you guys deal with conflict! travel is 70% inconvenience and getting lost and 30% awesome pictures and videos! Happy 300k!

I lived in Ankara for 2 years and been to Cappadocia and Ephesus a few times. Seeing the twirling dervish in Konya was amazing and the blue Mosque in Istanbul was awesome. Best thing to take when going to Turkey was our car, which made things easier when it came to exploring the country
Awesome video guys! As I'm sure you know, when things go wrong, it always makes the best stories...and possibly best memories (Kara might not agree ;) ). Looking forward to the next one! And congrats on 300K!
Ya'll are such resilient travelers. Despite the drone crash & getting soaked to the bone, you still took time to appreciate the beautiful landscape...and as always you met some very nice people along the way. Just next time take the rain gear. Happy traveling!
