Very nice. I just stumbled upon this channel. I am a 59 year old military veteran that served in the U.S. Navy aboard 2 aircraft carriers. USS Ranger CV-61 and USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. I then got out of the Navy and Joined the US Army and served in Field Artillery and Tank Battalions in Armor Divisions. I was stationed in San Diego at NAS Miramar where Top Gun was, and filmed while the Carriers were not under deployment. I was stationed in Fort Hood Texas, and in Northern Germany as I was in the Army for more tours. I deployed to Desert Shield and Desert Storm while I was in Germany. Anyway in both branches I was a Mechanic. In the Navy on aircraft, and in the army on heavy equipment like tanks and howitzers. I have built models since I was 5 years old and have scratch built and kit bashed models from the age of 14 on. I have a 77 KG hull that I made to use for a resin mold that is 268 CM in length for the M class Light Cruiser Munich, that Germany started but didn't finish building. It is in 1:72 scale. I am currently working on 3D model design and 3D printing projects of the models that I design in 3D programs> ruclips.net/video/odCnG7_YvJQ/видео.html
Hi John, Checking in with you again, hope you are doing well. I'm continuously amazed at your patience as you continue working on these wooden models. The ship is looking good. 👌
Hi John, I saw all 12 videos of the construction of the Prinz Eugen. Your work is simply fascinating. I can learn so many things for my own work. Do you plan to continue making videos of the ongoing construction?
Hi Ulrich, yes I plan to continue and finish the Prinz eugen, I had to go back into full time employment last year, so I don’t have to same time to make videos , but I will continue the build ASAP
@@Johnbuildsiconic Hi John, nice to hear ! I plan to buy the Prinz Eugen at the end of the year - maybe for christmas 😊 At the moment I'm working on the Endurance and I think I can finish until then. So, I'm looking forward for both to come - your videos and my Prinz Eugen.
