Are you having issues with your motorcycle? Or just looking to add some extra power? Proven Power Cycles is here to help! 727-256-0001.
When you think of a dyno, you think of dyno tuning and ecu flashing. Most people do. But today, we show you other ways we use our dyno to help our customers with their bikes. Today we have a 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 in. The customer previous got a ecu map from another shop in hopes to fix some of the issues this customer was noticing with their bike. After running the bike on the dyno, we noticed right away that the AFR was waaaay off. Which gives us an idea that the fueling system is acting up. This could be a number of things. Symptoms of a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel tank vent, bad fuel door gasket. There are a ton of reasons that could cause a loss of power and fuel on a gsxr. Once we got the base runs done and we were able to check the fuel pressure on this motorcycle, we determined it was a fuel pump issue. Once we opened everything up for an inspection, the pump looked decent, but inside of the tank did have some corrosion. The vent lines also looked a little rough. To start, we cleaned up the fuel pump which did help a little bit, but we were still having some fueling issues which lead us to replacing the fuel pump all together. Once we got a new fuel pump installed and re-ran the bike on the dyno, the numbers improved right away!! Not only does this bike RUN better, but the overall power gains are massive! Having loss of power on your gsxr? fuel pump issues on gsxr? This video may help you!! Авто/Мото
Dude, it’s videos like this that should make people just come straight to you and not go through all that wasted money.
We understand some people want to try fixing it themselves 👍 but I will say majority that try to tackle on their own diag on their bikes usually end up coming in to us to help solve the problem. 🤙
Your customers are very very lucky to have you working on there bikes
Definitely take pride in your work and come over very honest in your work ethics
We appreciate it 🙏 we've seen and have personally experienced too many hack jobs to keep allowing that to happen here.
We aren't perfect but we for damn sure will be as thorough as we can and give it our all when trying to diag and resolve issues. 💪💪
Thank you for the good words 🙏
Your customer must be really happy. That was an amazing transformation on what's considered an old bike now. I'm from the carb generation but I'm learning thanks to vids like yours.

Hi there from aruba 🇦🇼 we watch your channel 💯👊 great jobs
Nice job bro this Gixer is a classic
Top strainer should be cleaned or replaced every 50000klm I believe or replaced along with the lower filter ,after fully dismantle of fuel pump assembly orings removed you can spray carb cleaner into the micro strainer and rinse with clean petrol after every spray then use air gun to back flush the microfilter reversing the flow, to save a bit of money I've replaced my k8 with oem full assembly then another 50000klm I replaced top strainer and filter and I've cleaned the second new strainer once since then 130000klm ridden to church on Sundays 😂 great bike with some suspension upgrades 👍
Nice! Perfect!
Bro good video… will be calling you guys for a mail in ecu flash soon
Yessir! Give us a shout whenever you're ready 💪💪
Good job you guys!💪🇯🇵
Thank you 🙌
Great job showing how all this works! 🦾🫡👍
Hey have you flash the new ninja 500 yet? Some people are arguing the ninja 400 is better than 500. I saw that 400 makes the same amount of power as the 500. Isn't the ninja 500 supposed to make way more power? Anyways im buying cfmoto450 just had a hard time whether ninja 500. Since i like brembo caliper that 450 is offering and single side swingarm
@provenpower hey bud, I have operated a dyno many times. If I may make a suggestion, please try just using a smooth clean arc in your copper o2 sensor line, when I used an S for hookup purposes, it caused weird results regularly. I smooth arc line, then use safety wire to make a loop to slip over footpeg to hold in place. 🤓🫶🫡👍💚💚💚🙏
You know, I've never utilized these before in times past with my old dyno lol we Fabricated a pipe that slide into exhaust with wideband bung attached to it 😅
I appreciate the advice! I'll try that out and see how it goes! 🙏🙌
Did you use stock fuel pump replacement or after market if after market what brand did you use . Thanks Mike from Canada
We utilize stock fuel pump assembly setup all in all. The stock system works great. If you go with aftermarket fuel pump, we usually go with a full external system that we do custom setups for.
The plug can’t ignite that extra rich condition up top. So it runs less efficient on that other tune. They should be ashamed of themselves for puttin a band aid on the problem.
I was a little surprised to see the mapping was built around having a failing fuel system. It was an odd story for sure all in all. But I'm glad we got it all fixed for him! 💪💪
@@provenpowercycles nice job on the re-map & replacing the fuel pump. That bike runs fantastic now. I reciently re-tuned my 23 Tiger 1200 & man what a difference. Crazy how restricted they come from the factory
@cadman9615 yeah some bikes really wake up from the flash/tunes. Definitely a world of difference when done right!
Yo where are you located? Thanks
