How much would you charge to do this? Just this week i priced up a new key for my 2012 Amarok here in Australia because I only have one and I always like to have a spare, but for the key itself the VW dealership want $445 + $60 in freight from Germany then they say it will take an hour to an hour and a half to code it at the cost of an added $210. A total of $787 AUD for a new key and for it to be coded. Have you used any after market fobs and keys on the older Amaroks and do they work? Thanks in advance.
If I am not wrong Amarok since 2018 has 2 types of MQB remotes, 1 is keyless go and the other one is remote key. Keyless go remote is programmed automatically as soon as the key is learned through the car... I had this issue one time and had to get a new control with keyless go technology... As the MQB remote key didn't worked out!
