Seems odd to be watching back when lockdown started, I'm pleased you had a project in the van to help your sanity. I was one of the lucky ones that managed to work from home from 17th March 2020. but being cooped up and still working from home even now, still messes with your head on occasion. I moved nearly a year ago and having the extra space and a garden has really helped. it's amazing what you can do when up put your mind to it. you've done a fantastic job on the van, looking forward to binge watching the rest and catching up with where you go. safe travels.

As always a wonderful video both in content and production (Lou should be giving lessons to a few people at aunty Beeeb). Just in case anyone encounters the same scew issue as Lou, I have a solution that may help some. First progress as Lou did. Then you can shorten the screws, either by hacksawing the tip off (hold the screw in a vice or mole grips by wrapping it in cardboard) or if you have strong wire cutters you can often just snip them to size. You can then replace the smaller screws and washes using the same holes. Hope this helps someone

If I ever, ever get to Van traveling, I would definitely build my van around my dogs, gotta have to be something big enough for them to move, and short enough to go into those tiny little town roads.

She didn't know I used it until tonight when she saw the video, she wasn't happy, I didn't tell her I couldn't get the pencil mark off so just put it away still on there. She won't be impressed. Nevermind. 😁 She's not sold on the name fanny either, so that means it's a winner from me!

Nicely made again Louise are you sure the dog can`t get his head in for a late night nibble though , the van looks great me and the missus really like it we like to watch your videos together in front of the telly , nice to hear your into wildlife photography it`s a passion of mine and one of the reasons for building my van the barn owl in my profile pic was a good days (very early morning as you do) photography what set up do you have if you don't mind me asking.
Haha, he very nearly can lol! That's really nice to hear that you sit down and watch them together 😁 nice shot of the barney. Don't tell Emily but I buy our vans so they can be used as a mobile photography hide lol, nothing to do with holidays! I shoot with a nikon d750 (full frame) and I've got and old nikon d3400 (crop) that I use. I've got a sigma 150-600 C which isn't too bad for a cheaper lens (although not cheap to me lol) I don't know if you are on Instagram but I have an account just for the wildlife stuff @louisestockbridge

@@campervibe Morning Louise I`m not on Instagram I`m a bit of a dinosaur re-tech stuff our son (25yr old) has just got his mam on so I`ll get him to set me up so I can have a look , I`ve just recently sold all my big gear as it was getting too heavy for me , theres nothing wrong with the sigma I had one and I`ve had the tamron 150-600 also I had the Nikon d500 & Nikon 200-500 vr then I tried the canon 7dmk2 & 100-400mk2 L lens and the Sigma is a match for them all if not better I think the only way to better it is to GO with a 500 or 600 prime and they are mega expensive and weigh a ton , I`ve just got a Fuji xt2 with the 100-400 lens its a nice little set up I`m looking forward to getting out with it soon , whats your passion in wildlife ? I like everything but Birds of prey are my favourite

Oh I wish I could remember, we have since ripped it out to better suit our dog AJ. I can tell you it fits a small thetford porta loo in on runners, so if you can get the dimensions for that then you’re onto a winner 😀
At least you have yourself a neverending DIY project for the forseable future - only problem is BnQ and Wickes are all shut - its driving us craxy we cant buy anything for our conversion!

Great job, when you do cost video, can you include cost of van and millage as most people don’t , and it would be nice to see total cost,
Yeh will do, we've got cost of van in there but I'll add mileage and maybe a bit about spec, service history and body condition too now I think about it. Thanks Stephen. 😁

Hi there, I'm really sorry but we are away at the minute and I can't get to the invoice to check the exact sizes. If I measure the ones on the van the final measurement doesn't come up the same as the the size they are bought at and for the life of me I can't remember if it's the hole size or finished window size you need to look for. Really sorry, just wouldn't want to give the wrong info, it's an expensive mistake lol!

Hi Rob, thank you 😁 I don't think we will. I don't know if you are aware of the changes they've made recently but it seems they have made it really difficult and are rejecting almost all applications, I don't know if its worth the hassle for us lol. Plus, I don't want to stick those big stickers on the side as one of the new requirements is it must have campervan decals and it seems they are quite strict in what they are.

Thank you 😁 of course, we got it from custom size beds, it wasn't the cheapest but its really comfortable. For us it's a pretty important part of the build so wanted something decent. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Thanks so much for your reply, did you have to get a mattress with the corners next to the doors cut out a bit at 45 degrees to fit in ? or do the normal corners sort of squash in ok ? Happy holidays on the driveway and thanks again 😄
@@yorky621 no problem 😁 we had the corners cut off, Emily wanted it to fit well so it's easier to make, I think it might squash in without but didn't want to take the risk.
