Subframe bushing will not work as a engine mount. You wont insolate vibration with that! Subframe bushing use the bolt and sleeve to hold on the frame and the subframe will go around the unit “rubber” , as an engine mount the bolt and sleeve will hard mount to the crossmember....

Kalvin, go back to the video you unboxed the engine mounts and watch the part you are reading the directions. It actually says in the directions that you need to modify your cross member AND your oil pan.
I was thinking that as well thought it had said u had to.

EBay poly motor mount bushings for 300ZX about 90 bucks I've ran them on my 300ZX Twin Turbo over 600 wheel horsepower zero issues they work phenomenal probably better bet than using subframe bushing that's two pieces

Does the JZ sump hang below the bottom edge of the subframe? Or just 'into' the subframe space? Because I'd probably add the metal plate across the bottom for rigidity. better safe than sorry, ten second job :)
When Jimmy did the subframe on his SR-Z he did a notch and didn't cut all the way down, I guess the JZ needs more clearance. but yeah. Plate :P
This is gonna be a bad ass build.
Yeah would probably look into reinforcing it later on just to be safe, but I'd paint it either black or white or do the LZ thing and paint it the same as whatever your calipers and such will be... :)
a VG 510 is a first in my book. Never seen anyone or heard of anyone attempting to do that
am i the only one thinking that using the subframe bushes as engine mounts is a bad idea, you might as well throw away the rubber part and use the sleeve as the rubber wont isolate at all. Get factory engine mounts kalvin!

Plz get those 2JZ mountings , they are designed for the torque and pull the engine will have on them , those mounts you want to use won't work and will break very quickly , you have been doing everything properly so far why stop now with an important part ?
Idk if it’s only fort the 1jz but on the non turbo 1jz I’m pretty sure the oil pan is on the back instead the front because jimmy Oakes his 1jz has that oil pan so

@supersayianjim no way you can find a r154 for 600... maybe a knock off from china... the least you can find a cd009 ls 600 anyways which holds up to 800hp well.

Using that mount is the exact same as using a solid mount. There is no benefit from the polyurethane at all since the metal sleeve goes all the way through.
