African Tigress, I just revisited this video. As a few commenters wrote, it will not be suitable to put the gym next to your living room. You can have a study room, an office, or a small sitting area for when someone is dropping by. You can also put the gym in your planned study room because it will be near to the bedrooms and washrooms. Another option is, when you are constructing an outdoor bath and toilet for the workers, because you do not want them running in and out of your house, you can add a gym inside adjoining it at the back or side of the building, on the first floor; a small indoor corridor can lead you there. Then you will still have your study room where you plan to have it. You do work very hard and are spending your money wisely. I look forward to seeing the final result, including the walled property. It will be beautiful.

Very lovely. You can also use some of the scrap wood to create raise beds for growing vegetables and having a kitchen garden in the back. There is so much wonderful space.

I'd suggest the downstairs study room be made into a private living room for those people you'd like to talk to and don't want to invite into the house.
Reduce the space for the walking closet in the main room and expand the bathroom

Beautiful house ! the only suggestions for me is if you can have external staircase . That can be locked up when not in use. That goes direct to the roof top that way if you have a party not everyone has to go into your house.
Also on the roof top you can have a semi covered area where you can have a bar and a pull down projector screen were you and guest can watch tv outside while having barbecue.

in some of the Caribbean islands, you must have outdoor steps due to fire regulations.

Have your gym on the rooftop, where it's airy and have it with more glass than bricks.. That way you can have a beautiful view as you work out and inside your house it won't be smelling sweaty.
Shikanisha gym na hiyo toilet on one side of the house, so you can have more space for hangout. Then the solar panels can be on top of the gym

Build an outdoor kitchen space next to the indoor kitchen. A nice size counter with sink and a grill. The plumbing for the sink is already there.

Tigress consider using that little oudoor corner as a oudoor wash area. In itherwords place a sink for anything you want to wash and dont want to do inside.
Good suggestion was thinking about having that just behind the kitchen corner at the back
The outdoor corner suitable for gas cylinder ( preferably 35 kg) with pipe running from there to the kitchen.
That space on ground floor bedroom you can use as outside caged storage for gas cylinders!!!

Use that small narrow space outside for an external bathroom/toilet area. At times workmen come to do yard work and need an area to go to the bathroom.

what a beautiful house you are building.so right at the back of the house you can put a servants quarter and next to it then you can put a vegetable garden .remember not to put the vegetable garden at the front cause it takes off the whole view of the house,at the front you can do the lawn with flowers and maybe one end of the front you can plant some fruit trees

As you do your construction get your contractor to get the guys to clean the place and stack the lumber according to size and use. Ths will save you some time when after the construction crew completed the job. The small space can be used for garden tools and other yard implements.

Fix a steel door to secure that "small kaplace" and use it as a crucial store for private tools and accessories. You can have vertical partitions on it and make it very useful. Otherwise congrats African tigress for the very beautiful home.
