As a Zimbabwean, this has brought back memories of my time in Kenya all those yrs ago. I was a young missionary serving in areas around Nairobi. Its great to see that the city has developed in many areas. I hope some day the living conditions in the slums will improve. I hope to come visit again some day

Hi Tigress, thank you for helping him. I can just imagine his joy!
He's still grateful almost two months later
You did not only highlight this man's life but a lot more, about the people, and how they live in Kibera. Walking us through kibera, seeing kids going to school, women out and about their daily lives, is all very important. I, just like many watching, wish for a chance to make someone's day. ❤

You’re like ‘angel sent’ and Mr Motunga demonstrated his strength and ability to make life easier without any stress. I wish him getting the $40 from me very soon.
African Tigress, I hope you realized how big that contribution you have made to this man. People may not have proper houses and good furniture, but as long as the next meal is guaranteed, they are very happy. This is a big relieve for him. Thank you for the generosity and kind heart. I'm your fan from South Africa.

Thank you African Tigress. Charity begins at home.

First of all, let me say that I grew up in Central Africa. I have spent more of my life in the West than back at home. I have never seen or experienced anything like this. Never been to a slum. What a shocker. What an eye opener. What humility to do this so you can share and enlighten us all. Wow. I am speechless and humbled. God bless you and all the lives you will touch through this exposure.
Thank you so much AT for taking us along to Mr. Mutunga’s home. Thank you for your generosity. His resilience and love is unbelievable

African Tigress, your act of kindness is so humbling for showing kindness and helping this man. God bless you God bless Mr. Mutua more.
👍👍👍Mr. Matunga seems to be very fit to be walking to and back from work at the distance. That was very kind and generous to be helping Mr Matunga. Mr Matunga must be at least 70 years old.🏠🏠🏠😊😊😊
Tigress, thanks for doing this. These are initiatives that are so close to my heart. Thank you. We must take care of our elderly.
OMGOODNESS! This video is so touching. Thanks for what you did for the gentleman.
Wow, African Tigress, you continue to amaze and inspire us all with your kindness and compassion! Your recent act of taking your security guard, Mr. Mutunga, for shopping and visiting his house in the slums is truly heartwarming and uplifting. It's incredible to see how you use your platform not only to entertain but also to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
By taking the time to understand and acknowledge the people who work behind the scenes, you demonstrate a genuine care and appreciation for those who support you. Your humility and empathy shine through as you break barriers and bridge the gap between different social backgrounds.
The fact that you chose to visit Mr. Mutunga's house in the slums speaks volumes about your commitment to understanding the realities of others and shedding light on the issues faced by marginalized communities. Your actions remind us all of the power we hold to create change and uplift those around us.
Thank you, African Tigress, for being an inspiration to us all. Your compassion, generosity, and genuine spirit make a difference in the lives of many. May your example continue to inspire others to spread love, kindness, and positivity wherever they go. #experienceafricans

the original name of Kibera is Kibra which means jungle in the Nubian language, the place used to be a jungle before the colonial era which was later given to the Nubian ( askari kanga ) who helped the colonialists to fight the Mau Mau during Kenyan struggle for independence.
I couldn't believe he needs to walk that far hope they have transportation like tricycle and jeepney like here in the Philippines.
We have Tondo a large district of Manila, known as the slum area too. But, as time goes by, Tondo is developing into a commercial area, many houses are getting liveable, the roads are nicer lots of eateries and cafés very different from the 80's.
As of this moment Manila's local government building new hospital and condominiums for the people there.
Hope the government in Nairobi help them too.
😢😢
they dont want housing apparently. slumlords and politicians. every housing program fails, is pilfered or doesnt take off. its a hot button issue. they want to tax the middle class and above to pay for their housing but its too political
Am really amazed for the generosity level this lady has shown to the senior citizen, good wrk there lady keep it up thanks for the old man for keeping wrkg up to his age, may almighty God bless u lady for more .
I’m always amazed with the extremes of one person’s life to another. I’m glad for him that there was a spontaneous moment of love and kindness to him.
especially if you fly above this slum and realize therse a lush golfcourse bordering it

Did you the documentary where an NGO is supporting some people who are willing to their rural homes? They build houses and open businesses for people. Some have gone and their lives have changed. I think it’s a good initiative. Thank you for your kindness ❤❤
What's the name of the NGO?
Yes I saw that documentary too and those that agreed they are doing well and their children,s fees are also paid unfortunately many refused to leave this place they are used tonthis kind of life.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS I’ll look for it. I think it’s a good initiative. Some have land at rural but have the means of starting over.
@@charlesrazawu2708 I think some are ashamed of what their families are going to say after years. I think rural life is way better than slum life doing nothing.

You have such a big heart, may God bless your life. From Boston, USA. Love what you are doing.❤️❤️❤️❤️
God bless you for the great work and the way you decided to walk with him. May God give you favor in whatever you do.
thank you for what you did for Mr. Mutunga. Very impressed by his resilience
I really did enjoy this very sensitive video regarding the elder security guards job, income, cost of living, impoverished community where he resides and call home, his fathers inability to provide a higher education for him past the 7th grade, his ability to not allow his impoverished situation to cause him any severe mental issues, and his sincere heart to APPRECIATE anything that someone does for him, and his willingness to SHARE the little that he has with others who are also in need.. I also admire the seemingly LOW CRIME in the area according to him when he told AFRICAN TIGRESS to not worry about anyone snatching her camera and other equipment.. This video also proves that POVERTY alone does not always causes crimes, but it is the responsibility of all people within such communities to respect each other and help them to survive with hopes that maybe someday they will overcome their dreaded situation and prosper in life, because no one really knows what the future holds, other than God Almighty..
His educational level has not to do with this type of poverty. She needs to go but the Kenyan's must tell her that.
Living in ghetto its so challenging, kwanza kukinyesha usiku hakuna usingizi....lakini tunaomba mungu siku moja atatukumbuka and pua tumashukuru juu kuna wenye pia hio ghetto hawana wanatamani

Bless you Tigress I am so sorry for the living conditions.
I have a thought; would it be possible to give him a job on one of your business ventures in the village? I remember you have a tree farm and the Avocado farm. He would live in a cleaner environment. I don’t even know if he would agree to farming.
There is a English RUclipsr who does videos on the poverty in Africa. He has roots in Accra Ghana and he did a special on the slums of Accra where they processed waste from all over the world. It was very, very heartbreaking. Don’t let me push you into anything that you don’t feel the need to do. You are blessed.❤❤❤
That older gentleman’s ability to trek like that so effortlessly was impressive indeed. I’m tired just watching the video.😊
