Got a keybar when I first saw you show one in a vid. I've had mine for a year or so now. Carry it every day. Absolutely love the design and love the customisation. Always look forward to some of the more unique bits of gear you review. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Sootch! I've been looking for a solution for my work keys. I think you have helped me out! Thanks again and keep up the great videos!!!
I've been meaning to get myself one of these. It would help a bunch. And I love all the accessories available for it.
This was extremely helpful especially the setup thank you very much! Gonna be ordering mine soon
always enjoy your videos. please keep them coming. thanks sootch
Sootch you're the best and love all your videos. please never stop.
Met Mike at a recent knife show. He had a booth a few down from your friend Marshall at Going Gear. Mike was showing off 2 new gadgets, deep carry pocket clips like you said that goes over the top, and a magnet disconnect for your car keys. For the guys with a more fancy taste, he has a bunch that are collaboration with knife makers with custom work and finishes.
You just showed your home and shop keys to the world. I hope people dont know where you live, its too easy to make keys. Nice video! I have used that keysmart for little over a year now.
I recently went with a Keyport Slide 2.0. Roughly the same size and allows you to add 6 keys that retract into the unit when not in use. You can get your auto keys also cut and added into the slide so that you can just carry the one item. Might be worth checking out.
awsome tool sootch and good gift idea! waiting for either LMT or Barrett review :) can't wait! ---thx Sootch
THANKS A MILLION BROTHER !!!
KEYBAR ordered mines. can't wait, I'm suppose to get it on the 10th this month.. stoked
How’s about a freebie??i know y’all can spare one with all the money y’all charging on these
Love my KeyBar. Also, it was very cool meeting you at the KeyBar booth at Blade...last person I expected to run into
Great idea to give as gifts..practical and different.. thanks for the tip..
This is a great way to organize keys. Thanks for the review.
VG review Sootch. I did purchase a key bar after viewing a previous vid on your prepper channel and luv it
My vehicle uses a FOB and push-button start. Will this damage my FOB? Are there any sharp edges on this item? Such as the interior edge of the outer casing that holds all the components together (the part with 'Keybar' etched into it). Or perhaps the pivot points.
Keep up the great work my friend.
You have such great videos Sootch. You're like the ultimate BoyScout, a ManScout of you will
Can you try and see if on one side it is possible to fit your truck key by itself? ive been curious to see that if my truck would fit and fold inside it i would buy one right now but not sure if it is too thick
The KeyBar is one of the best products I have ever used. I have been using it for about six months now and I would tell anyone to buy one. It is well worth the money.
Pretty neat, I like the 45 casing décor. Would be cool to sharpen a fake key and have a decent defense tool if needed.
I've been meaning to get one of these for a while now.
Just ordered one tonight after this video.
How much searching do you really do with 2 keys? Great product if you are manager somewhere with big key ring otherwise to expensive for a coupe keys.
It's definitely a great idea for people who love small, gadget type things. Just haven't developed the need for one...
I love mine, worth every penny!
How does this stack up to the Exotac FreeKey system?
Apologies for commenting here but do you know what happened to Tewlbox? I can't find your video review and their website is down
Thanks for sharing!
Just got my first keybar had a keysmart but it was plastic and it broke. Saw the titanium keyboard after I placed my order and immediately wanted a different one I think a Titanium Keybar or maybe a keybar junior
plus
over time
pants pocket liners are thinner and cheaper... including length, width, fabric thickness, stitching thread type and amount of stiching and frabric weave details
so any "tool" with smoother edges is a plus
and related to what "prints" from pocket and why- knives, multi-tools, bulky exposed keys, loose change, sub compacts...

Merci. Un excellent objet pour ses clés.
Thanks for showing us your keys bro.
I keep all important keys but my truck key in mine. Had to put a lanyard on and keep tied around my belt tho because the key bar gets pulled out from the pocket Clip from my pants. This doesn't ever happen with my knife but it does with the keyboard.
Excellent !!!!
Best thing I've ever bought!!!
sootch00 Sir also review a Sar arms B6p pistol. Its a popular cheap handgun in 9mm.
Where have I been? Damn... gotta get this and some extras for gifts.
I used the keybar for all but 10 minutes before realizing its was one of the biggest gimmicks in the firearms industry in a while. Hey do you want to increase the weight and size of your key ring, how about gaining the leverege to break your key in the lock?! Well the gigantic key brick is for you!!!
Good job on reposting an old video for ad revenue too!!!!
Cool concept, but I run with a few sets of weird large car keys and remotes, don't think this would save me any weight or help organize. Still a good gift idea
i cant find the clip its not on the site
Looking at one of those the other day.
If you like I thinks I will get one.
This is perfect, I was looking for a way to add more bulk and weight to my keys with no appreciable benefit.
this seems like a solution where no problem exists...
A video for the sake of having a video
Helped me out a lot. I run outdoors and the constant jumping of my keys in my pocket is bad. Ot around the neck etc. I use this and now i just clip the keybar in the inside of my running shorts or pants. Doesn't move, doesnt poke me in the thigh, doesnt jump around etc. Not for everyone, but it worked for me.
just carry only your house key when running
Helped me out tons. Keys on a ring eventually begin to splay outwards. Inside a pocket it can definitely jab your lag if it presses against your leg. With this, I am able to carry all my keys in a thin 3/4" device.
Also, when wearing dress slacks as I do Mon-Friday, Its a cleaner look when the keybar is in my pocket as opposed to the jumbled mess of keys or key bulge. Granted, the depends on how many keys you carry...
i want a keybar but it just doesnt work for me. ive seen a bunch where people have taken multi tools apart and put them on the keybar too. love the pocket clip too. BUT, in my search for ever changing keychain perfection ive cut it down to 2 house keys and i keep my car key separate. i do have one of those stupid tritium glow fobs, and a surefire titan plus on it. just using a crap key ring, and knockoff tec p7 suspension clip and its just working for me. except for the niteize s biners that keep falling off and getting lost somewhere! when i do have them i like being able to quick detach my car key or put them together in pocket.
all of my car keys have the p7 clone pocket clip, and either a thrunite t-01 or olight i3e.
in my pocket organizer i keep in my pack ive got a crap keyring with copies of my house keys (2), truck, sisters car, and my beater car key. that s biner hasnt fallen off yet though haha.
i really want the keybar and not the key smart. i always find myself carrying a knife and multi tool anyways. i think im just going to invest in one and make it my heavy winter key set.
What's it's calibre?
lol, awesome product, but after watching this i'll just make one, easier than ordering from the US to Australia, and cheaper :P
I like the idea of the KeyBar, but the price almost knocked me over. I'm not knocking it because it motivated me to build something similar for less than $10. I am kind of obsessing about it now trying to create better ideas. Granted I don't have carbon fiber, titanium or laser engraving, but I had a blast doing it. I think it looks pretty good also.
Sootch keep up the interesting videos. I love the series on mouse guns.
Tucson Native they have promos for up to 30% off
you do need to be careful of these to because you are adding leverage to the key in the lock. If you key has deep cuts it will break off in the lock. It will also permanently twist the keys.
Aaron Marrett I have a cheap china one and I've never broken a key yet. I actually snapped a key into my door a month before I got mine. Lol finally upgraded to a new one from this company.
Good video as usual..the keybar seems overprized to me ..and meaby only usefull when you want to carry more than 3 keys with you..
Putting all that weight on your vehicle's ignition cylinder lock will wear it out!
I would use if for other things. I would never use as Sootch is using it because of the weight--however, you want to keep all keys together great, then you can simply detach with a device (very simple as I have been using one for years) and then reattach after you're done driving--no big deal really. If anything, the price is too high....
You can buy a cheap quick detachment point for your car key.
I don't care about some of the negative comments..... I have 2 of them and love them!
Thanks Eric. The KeyBar rocks. Some people just don't get it and that's fine : )
+sootch00
I like them so much I have purchased some for friends.
$40 for base model the another fuckibg $12 to ship???? $52. For a famn key chain?? Holy hell
For $45+ you would think they could afford to also let your viewers get the 10% sootch00 discount lol
I've carried mine for a couple of years now....
Just a heads up, it is possible for people to make copies of your keys from an image. It is usually not the best idea to show them on video. Nice review.
he's not being a narcissist, probably more like you're projecting, either way he is right about keys being able to be copied, there's 9 depths for 5 to 6 pins it's very easy to do.
you dont know what the keys are to tho? they could be for a padlock thats fucked up and thrown away?.... you would really have to be a low life to try and copy a key from a YT video lol... some ppl STILL never seem to amaze me....
Gotta love that friendly YT community.
+BallsnBullets Yes, this happens.
it's got the molon 'leib' LOL
50bucks for the cheapest one is a little much, don't you agree???? some are 100+
I got mine for $40 with the facebook discount. That's worth it to me. I took apart an old leatherman and added some tools to it. My keybar has a phone charger, multiple keys, screwdrivers, a file, a bottle opener, and a knife. My keychain used to be a big spikeball so I'd always take em out of my pocket and lose em. Not anymore. $40-50 isn't bad when you consider that's like having a sub-par dinner out.
the design is a good and creative idea. more of a hobby item for sure. i wouldnt say its a pos, because its not like they do poor maching and quality. washers and screws make it modular and easily replaceable/user serviceable. its kind of cool, and pretty nerdy. some people are fine with big dangling keys and a lanyard or something.
its like a swiss army knife, but keys...and then if you add tools to it...yeah. everybody has something they spend money on and others would see as a waste
Robert B watch the abuse tests on the key-bar where people try to smash it with bricks and the thing is still 100%. A decent steak dinner will run you $50 but you're not paying for raw ingredients..you're paying for someone with knowledge and expertise to craft that for you perfectly. Idk what you do for a living but a key-bar is about 45 minutes of work for me. If it's not worth it to you, don't buy it. But I doubt you could buy washers and some metal and make this thing for under $40
Robert B I'm not saying that you buy it to protect your keys. I mentioned the abuse test because there are knockoff Chinese pieces of shit out there for half the price and they break easily. The abuse test is just a testament to the fact that it IS quality. If you really hate the fucking thing, then don't buy one. It's that simple. Lots of people don't think it's worth buying a good quality EDC knife, or a good kitchen knife, or a high quality flashlight. Some of us just like nice things. You don't have to buy anything you don't want to. But the people that actually own them like them.
lol those "rubber washers" are actually called O-rings.
I lose my keys...my biggest problem, I connect them to dollar store dog leashes in different colors..the tail helps a lot.
Id get one but I have two keys besides my truck key lol.
I call bs.... no petina.
I realize a lot of people can't afford expensive items like this but it's made in The USA and straight up quality. you get what you pay for. Some people love quality, reliable items.
here in europe (Austria) are key larger !!
Cool idea but cost way to much and would be to bulky in your pocket. I bet you have $100 in the one that you added all the accessories on. Still a great video and I enjoy watching all of your videos.
Why another video on this sootch? I know you've done at least one, cause I got a Keybar sitting on my desk right now. Also, to those saying "you shouldn't put a heavy thing like that in your vehicle ignition," keep your damn car key separate like I do. I like the Keybar; works great.
Well im glad he made it again because I completely forgot about this thing.
Sootch man I dunno bout that thing
Having that weight dangling will cause problems with your cars ignition switch.
Keith Peverley heh, not a problem for my 2016 Honda civic, lol
This gotta be the worst idea ever, every time you need to use a specific key you have to fan out all the keys. No spring action, no visual on the keys, very tight pressure on them… What's the point of this product, it seems they tried to fix the problem with key rings but ended up with more.
Its actually a good idea. Only problem is these are ridiculously priced. $45 - 95 for a key-chain? No thank you. This is a $5 - 25 item at best.
love it, but they need a deep carry pocket clip.
They have those now
That thing is huge! too big for my 3 keys.
Bought one, got it in the mail a few days later, fiddled with it for a bit, and then filed for a return that same evening. At ~$65.00 (after discount) I expected more than what I got. If you're a guy walking around with 30 keys, this might be right for you. For 1-4 keys, don't bother, especially for today's non-standard car keys.
Do you still use your keybar? Is it still your favorite key organizing method
Nice but I feel the price point is too high for me.
The Keybar is just simply too bulky and heavy when compared to other EDC key organizing competitors out there.
practice.
I wish key-bar would link up with Amazon so I could order accessories (comb, new pocket clip, etc) without having to pay key-bar for shipping. Like most people today, I have Amazon prime and I don't like paying companies to ship stuff/ground shipping when I'm used to having free 2-day prime shipping. Sootch, it would be great if you'd talk to them about that. Another great video, sir!
i love your channel but that is not a rubber washer it an O ring!
Keysmart is cheaper and lighter
nice and thin too.
Sorry but at those prices I'll pass. Hardware store key rings are under 1.50 and can hold more keys and accessories than the Key Bar does! Saving me over 40.00 and proving you don't have to spend a lot when it comes to keeping track of your keys.
also there's no way in hell all those keys in the beginning would fit in your keybar lol, problem is guys need to pair down their keys, period. you don't need your boat key or your work keys on you all the time
bad idea.Too much weight for a cars key ignition
A very simply way to remedy that my friend--your logic wouldn't be a deal breaker IMHO.
trey orr that sounds like a useless concern
Nice item now I can lose all my keys at once.
you would lose your keys all at once on a regular key chain....!!
I like the thing, but there way too expensive.
haven't you already done a keybar video?? still think they are outrageously expensive and useless. i use quick-connect key rings and organize my keys by "theatre" and put them together as i need them. like when im at work i disconnect all but my work keys and leave the rest in my locker, or if I'm taking the boat out i disconnect my work key ring and connect my boat keys, etc. just another option to throw out there. not the end-all but that's how i do it
you mentioned the other video in this, my bad!
Expensive
$80 for the copper, I was interested till I saw that. The things I don't like are, one its 80 bucks for not really much of anything, another is it doesn't have anything on it but their brand for advertising, thats another down side for me like that expensive hat that makes you feel like a billboard.
Its too much weight on the ignition, I could see using it for awhile, but i'd probably go back to the old key chain.
You give them as gifts? wow, thats awesome to give $80=$100 gifts like that, gift one my way.
Ranger J the copper one cost way to much.. It should be the same price as aluminum. 65 with 30% off is far that's what I paid for mine
I notice you get alot of haters sootch but fuck em man I love your videos brother you could review a dog turd and I would still watch, something about your reviews they always chill me out!
wow pretty tough crowd on the keybar. its more of a edc hobby item. the practical/tactical guys are crucifying it lol.
at least its made in america! throwback to swiss army knives which we ALL started out with if not a slip joint folder.
definitely not for everyone, but you should respect the craftsmanship and dare i say research & development that went into the independent hobbyists that came up with this.
so yeah, if youre all about made in america and small businesses dont completely shit on the keybar. if it doesnt work for you, youre not the target demographic or niche market.
some people cant even see the need to carry a flashlight and wouldnt even spend 10 dollars on one. carry a multi tool? why? just go get a tool from the toolbox. why carry a knife? and why buy a knife thats more than a few bucks?
its just not for everyone. i carry a titanium handled knife, titianium bodied flashlight, and a leatherman skeletool at work and dont use them all everyday. i like the hobby and do use them from time to time and am glad i have them.
some are content with keys, wallet, phone. not even a gun! some like tactical lights, and carry backup mags. everyones different. we all are just learning together
...let's see if NutnFancy eviews this....
Nice through review. Nice to see a video from you. I am piecing together some shooting videos, check them out. Thanks.
Looks neat, but I'm going to have to echo some of the other comments here and say $45 for the cheapest one is unjustifiably expensive.
Sootch!! On a totaly different subject; can you or one of your viewers identify the "flashlight" that Hillary's big Secret Service handler holds in his hands??
#is it a flashlight???
$45 for the cheapest model?...no thanks!
This thing looks uglier and more bulky compared to the keysmart...
That keybar should be 30 bucks the most and come with the extra excessers.
you shouldn't show your keys on the internet
I love my carbon fiber keybar. I was reading some of the comments here complaining about the prices. It's made in America what do you expect. You pay for what you get and if you disagree with that then this product is not for you. Buy one and you never have here your keys again.
Will Siddle they need to buy the key smart one lol. That's what I have. But upgrading to this one soon.
I want one brother
Buy the original. It may cost more but it’s higher quality made in the USA. Not some piece of 💩 made 🎈 land
