    I bought this when it was introduced. I don't use it much as a gimbal, but primarily for it's programable pan and tilt feature for timelapse.

      I haven’t had a chance yet to explore that feature on this gimbal but thanks for mentioning this as I love to create time lapses

    I wish the controls worked with the Insta360 Ace Pro. It would be a winning combo... I also recharged my SCORP using a Anker PowerCore 2000 Power Bank! Another great video. Thanks!

      Thank you. Yes, I’m hoping FeiyuTech may be able to add the Bluetooth functionality for more action cameras going forward. Would be nice. Great choice for recharging your gimbal on the go.

    Wouldn't a Pocket 3 be a much more convenient alternative for those times when you really a gimbal? You could take a GoPro or DJI Action in one pocket, and an Osmo Pocket 3 in the other. That would be an easy combo to take just about anywhere, with essentially no set-up time.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, as one who owns the Pocket 3, I agree this is also an option. The cost of an action camera and gimbal combined is much lower than that of both an action camera and Pocket 3 though. There is also the convenience of filming all footage on one camera and having that footage match vs trying to match two different cameras too. There are definitely pros and cons to both options.

    Nice review. I went down the gimbal rabbit hole. Bought the full size one for a camera, it worked decent, but it's so bulky I didn't see myself actually taking it anywhere. The constant re balancing was a huge pain, and it no longer fit in the case after adjusting the arms. Next I purchased one of the $100 action camera gimbals, and that works pretty well. My biggest gripe isn't with the gimbal, but the GoPro (on the gimbal) and the process of getting the SD card or battery in and out every time. I eventually got a Pocket 3, and it's absolutely amazing.

      Thank you. Gimbals can be a real pain sometimes in the ways you describe. I have a love/hate relationship with them at times 😂 The Pocket 3 is a great choice. I really like that camera.

      Yes, I use it with my Action 4. It cannot be paired via bluetooth with the Action 4 but it will stabilize the Action 4 with no issues.

    Why on earth wod u need a gimble with the flawless max lens 2.0?

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  3 месяца назад +1

      A gimbal is useful for any use case with an action camera where you want or need stabilization turned off. ND filters with the 180 degree shutter angle, the anamorphic lens with the GoPro, low light filming with a slower shutter speed, etc.
      Without turning off stabilization, jitter and ghosting will occur anytime the shutter speed dips below about 1/200 on any of these cameras.

      @@GreatDayForAHike well hopfully the lowlight issue will equal to thr competitors in the 13 as they'v been inexcusabily lazy for the 12, litrilly standing still, while every1s taking steps ford..
      The hdr nd log on 12 is not real at all! Its like the fake sharpness or upping the color in camera, seems to be a cash grab fake filter of standard mode... only beautiful thing about the 12 is the 4k max 2.0.. 9 &
      12 were historically the wtf cameras..
      10 made leaps with chip 2 nd 120 fps. Nd the 11 with the choice of 4:3 & 8:7..
      The 12 doesnt even give 4:3 5.3 option, the 8:7 5k is too much for my pc to edit hours of footage, so iv to waste my time nd rerender it in 4:3

      @RetroBusker I have big hopes for the Hero 13. With action cameras, low light will always be a challenge due to the smaller sensors and electronic image stabilization. EIS depends on sharp frames to work properly and sharp frames are only possible with a fast enough shutter speed.

    • @RetroBusker
      @RetroBusker 3 месяца назад +1

      @@GreatDayForAHike the latest 360,dji ect.. increased senor size more than gopoo, thr night shots look alot better and stabilization looks fine, whereas gopoo has always been unwatchable in lowlight, the competitors copied gopro sports camera beginning in 2020s, now its gopro to copy the larger senor, if gopro can just be the first to get to that 1 inch sensor, altho they mist that chance with the 12 and there are other companys launching before the 13 in Aug which will clearly be the 1st to get to that 1 small step for man, 1 gaint senor for man kind

    Unpopular opinion: this gimbal is not the best in the market within this price range. I own V1 and barely use it, is not that little in comparison to other options out there. Is big and bulky yet somehow payload is not better than similar smaller options. Only thing updated was vertical mount and now the ai tracking is included not bought separately.. 😢

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  3 месяца назад +1

      There are certainly lots of options out there when it comes to gimbals. When evaluating all factors I found this one to be best but depending upon your use cases and which camera(s) you own there may be better options.

    • @BurntOrangeHorn78
      @BurntOrangeHorn78 2 месяца назад +2

      Why do you not name the better gimbals and describe their better features? 🤷‍♂️
      That would add some credibility to your post which would make it better than an isolated and unsubstantiated opinion.
