My video crashes every time I start it and at each transition there are small crashes and at the bottom of the screen it displays a green band as if the image were corrupted or as if there were a chrome key in the background. I don't know if this is due to the file being too big or if it's a CapCut problem after updating to the latest version. Can anyone help me?

My laptop is so slow... I turn on proxy and after 5 minutes it generated only 15% on my 45 second clip...It still has to do that on 3 other clips which are 5 minutes long... I think I'll have to wair more than 1 hour for that...

Why can't Capcut simply use the performance of a M1 Mac Mini like all the other video editors, and not lag in the first place? If we wanted to edit in 540P, we could break out our Windows XP machines.

Using a m1 ultra studio 32 core GPU and it sucks. CapCut is fine if you are just gonna put some stuff on TikTok but for a actual show with multiple high res clips it’s unusable garbage

Unfortunately I did both methods and it still lags alot. I switched back to Premier Pro and AE because I don't have this issue. Both pcs are running 14900K CPUs and a 4090 GPU. Appreciate the vid and glad it worked for most.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, your PC should be able to run it no problem, maybe it's not optimized for all setups or something. Hopefully it's fixed on their end soon.

@@ChadsGamingTips Possibly. I also made sure my media was downloaded to my local drive so nothing was sitting in a cloud so to speak. The issue with Premier is the transitions are just terrible unless you have transition packs or make your own. Cap Cut has some really cool effects that are instant. I can replicate them in AE and Premier but it takes a good amount of time. Hopefully, Cap Cut will get better and be able to use PC resources that take advantage high spec PC's.

That didnt answer the question of how to make capcut use CPU for rendering. 12 cores and 24 threads would be highly useful for this, but my cpu is running at 12% and gpu at 100%.

im on the 2023 m3 macbook pro 14inch but why isn't there any playback on the preview window though? its just frozen for me as if its just a photo but if i go into my library - its clearly a 25 sec clip.
