I used to work at Best Buy corporate and we had a "free table" where all samples and misc crap was sent to buyers for review/consideration to carry in the stores. I worked on the media floor and the sound of the CD cases bouncing off the break-room table as they were dumped out of bins was Pavlovian for all nearby employees. We flocked to the table and frantically sifted through the mass of media goods on a first come first served basis. I suffered through a lot of crap music in those days but I am absolutely thrilled that I discovered We Are Scientists through that. Over 20 years later, I'm still a huge fan. My wife and I have been to shows, everyone I've shared the music with has loved it, and my favorite WAS t-shirts are stored away in a closet, far too worn down to pass for public appearances (pink zombie shirt, I'm looking at you). Nostalgia aside, in the rare chance you'll see this, thank you for the DECADES of joy and merriment you've brought me and my loved ones. Hope to see you live again someday.
Damn, you guys are the only band that have consistently delivered music I’ve been in love with for nearly 2 decades already for me. I listen to all albums and nearly all songs and never gotten tired of em’ thanks for many years of kick ass music I can jam out to 🤠
