After playing the Switch version of Grandia II, it no longer surprises me as much as it should that a game with such simple lighting and models by modern standards would struggle so much on the Switch. Seriously, how does it struggle with 3rd-party games from over 20 years ago?! Is this DLC in the mobile version of Minecraft, at least?
I just wish Sega would use other levels beside Green Hill, Seaside Hill, Chemical Plant and Sky Sanctuary Zone, come on Sega you have plenty of other Classic Sonic Level, Dreamcast Levels and even Modern Sonic Levels, let them have a chance !
Hopefully they could add more Zones and Characters, because this actually looks like a good Minecraft mod. You can see they put a lot of effort into all the stages and characters.
You see it as a low poly fan game, I see it as an absolute masterpiece. Minecraft is low poly so expect low poly. Were you expecting high quality models that you'd get in a regular sonic 3d game/fangame or something?
I actually kinda prefer Sonic 1 more in a high quality 'low poly' style more than 3D high poly versions like Generations did, feels more like you're playing a sort of faithful 3D reimagined version of Sonic 1, and the levels are pretty good too. Reminds me of levels in Sonic Robo Blast 2 (Really good legacy Doom engine mod, has existed already for a Long time).
If people can edit the world with the Sonic stuff imagine what could be made, We could make some really big and open levels just with the behavior packs this stuff has.

Definietly. I mean, Twinkle Park, Metal Harbor, and Asteroid Coaster are some examples of levels that need some love.
