Wow she looks beautiful. She's looks a bit spooky but also kind of friendly and I love it. The tail looks absolutely fantastic, these colors shifting from green to blue to purple fit very well to the mermaid theme and her general color palette. I love her! 💚💙
It was so genius to use the dragon tail as a mermaid tail, I would have never made that connection! I loved doing this collab with you, thank you so much! Your doll is absolutely gorgeous omg you went above and beyond.
She turned out so beautiful! That tail, with the duochrome paint and the resin coating looks out of this world! And of course her face up and hair are just stunning 💛💛 amazing job!! xxxx
you had a clever use of dollightful's dragon tail. the repaint was a struggle but i love the face. the outfit is so nice too, with all those tiny things here and there. good job!
she turned out SO beautiful! 😭all the little found treasures and netting look so authentic, exactly the kind of thing a mermaid would accessorize with 😍
What a clever idea to use the dragon tail. It looks amazing. And I love her hair, the colors and the curls. Blender is a free 3d design and sculpting program btw, if you're interested in giving that a go. There's also tinkercad but it's way more basic
She turned out amazing, her color scheme is gorgeous! The tail is beautiful and the transition from the 3D printed piece's to the sculpted piece's is so seamless.
She is such an amazing doll! I really love the tail because it breaks with the classical silhouette and I also believe the different curls give the hair more texture and it looks amazing! Great job 🤩🤩
Wow! She is gorgeous, beautiful 😍 and enchanting - I LOVE HER. You did a great job with her tail fluke - I particularly like the holes you put in the film, that was a nice touch
I love how she turned out, you did an amazingly fantastic job! Just wow~ It's really funny, I'm printing a BJD dragon tail too to use on a "mermaid" doll. I'm useing it to make a sea snake-mermaid-creature-thing doll myself. 3D printers are really the best thing ever, so much so I'm saving for a resin printer next. Though I'm in a setback, my fiancee thought watercolor pencils were all the same an got Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencil set an I don't know if they will work on dolls. IDK...
I'm surprised at how well the dragon tail works for a mermaid! It gives more of a sea serpent vibe to the mermaid, which makes her feel a bit spookier, like a dark fairytale. Great job! 🧜🏻♀️
your technique on removing parts of a face up is a god send, i recently gave up on a doll due to multiple face up mistakes but watching this has probably saved her! youre the best!
the reason why the curls didn’t work out is because you used many different curling techniques. I have black hair so i knew what you were trying do but failed to do. using all those techniques was gonna make it look weird in every angle. cause you had tight curls, loose curls, coils and more. If you wanted different textures make them colder threes type like coils with tight curls etc. so next time it looks better! hope this helps! 🥰
Gosh!! You really outdid yourself on this one!! The face up makes her look so mysterious, like you know, in a deep-sea-pollution kinda way and the "clothing" (??) really just adds to it! And that tail! Oh my god she's fantastic!! :DD
OMG shes amazing! That was a fantaztic idea with the dragon tail! It makes me feel like she's a mysterious deep diving sea creature. I think shes my favourite of yours. Amazing work as always Josephine!💜🐉🐬
you know those anatomy displays in the doctors offices? head, chest, the organs... the mannequin ones with the pieces? a doll based on that would be cool.
You did such a great job. That was a lot of work! The color combination is amazing. Such a unique and beautiful mermaid. You encouraged me to continue to try even if it gets rough because the results can be phenomenal. Perseverance.
I like how the parts where like she adds something in their head i don't really understand what it is but it kinda looks like she is changing the dolls brain into a smart one
I like your channel better than others, because I feel comfortable knowing that even if someone makes mistakes, they can make a banger end result. Thank you for sharing the l mistakes as well as your wonderful dolls
I wasn’t loving it when you gave her the orange eyes but after seeing her put together, the amber and starfish and her eyes all make the rest pop even more. I love when I am proven wrong and I learn something new.
She's beautiful. I will say her tail is a dragon tail with a mermaid fin at the end. I say that because of the length. That's too long for a mermaid fin. However, she's still beautiful and I'd be proud to display that.
I like the hair kinda wild like that, if you think about her being under the water it would be wild. It's all just trial and error, our mess ups are what teach us and we learn from them. She turned out great, very pretty. ☺
I think I just used magic sculpt, It's the same thing as two part epoxy clay 👍 I shrunk the head so it became hard so It's okey to use clay on it, it will not pop of sense the head is not soft anymore 😊
I was just thinking I wonder if coating the tail in resin will work. It should but I haven’t seen anyone do it even though I hear people talk about the paint chipping when the joints are moved. Glad to see it being tried hope it catches on
Yeah, it fall of during the photo shoot, and she has lost quite a lot more sense then :'D Next time I will add some super glue too, the hot glue on it's own doesn't stick well enough!
Since you mentioned mermaids would probably be bald so you made her a wig instead of rerooting her hair ,I tried to think up a reason why mermaids would make wigs, and my best idea was along the lines of sirens that would kill men or to keep themselves warm or to keep their skin from drying out when they were out of the water. It’s really interesting to think that all mermaids just make themselves wigs adds to the fun
I really like your idea of a wet wig just keeping their skin nice an hydrated when they are not in the water! Its kind of hilarious when you think about it!
@@josephines.creatures there is a type or hermit crab that decorates it’s shell with all kinds of things so it’s fun to think mermaids might do the same

Can someone help me, after painting the scalp of the doll, am I supposed to coat it with MSC before rerooting? The acrylic is already rubbing off, and I can't imagine doing a boil water wash afterwards

She turned out so beautiful! That tail, with the duochrome paint and the resin coating looks out of this world! And of course her face up and hair are just stunning 💛💛 amazing job!! xxxx
That is really clever using the tail pieces backward! It really does make a difference, and she's beautiful!
The loose curls mixed with the tight curls gives her a very organic look, as if she did just pop up from the deep sea to say hi ❤❤❤

She's so beautiful! And I love that magnetically-attached wig cap- I've used it a few times to make lekku for Twi'lek dolls!
She is such an amazing doll! I really love the tail because it breaks with the classical silhouette and I also believe the different curls give the hair more texture and it looks amazing! Great job 🤩🤩
She is sooo cool! I love how long her tail is. You could do a creepy mermaid 🧜♀️ that would be so cool!

Thank you so much! It was so worth it testing out the acetone trick, and if I was to mess up I would have wiped the face anyway!
She came out so beautiful 🥰
I love the clothing/accessories you made. Doll artists are so ingenious with that kind of thing.
She’s so beautiful! I love the metallic colours and her little around tummy is adorable!💖
The tiny holes in the angelina film looks sooo good! Her tail is absolutely gorgeous!
Absolutely beautiful! Next time you might try mixing black acrylic paint into your gesso. I’ve had success priming that way, I hope you do too!
Yes, I need to try that!
This is so great!!! The paint reminds me of pearls used for colorshifting cars!!
gorgeous!!!! i loved watching your whole process -- the integration of the dragon tail is fantastic! what a lovely creature💕💕

So beautiful Siren -Mermaid The Doll Creature ❤.
hi there! love your videos. i'm curious though....what did you use to cover the hole at the top of her head, where the plastic cap used to be?

I have not had any problems of the paint chipping of on the tail, so its working! The only down side is that the finish is very glossy.
@@josephines.creatures you can sand resin to make it mat but it takes a lot of time.
Awwwww she's adorable!!! I love her!!!!
She's so gorgeous, I love it😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏
Mermaids are considered to be of the mammal equivalent in folklore so yes the hair makes sense
I agree with this but all aquatic mammals have either no or very short and dense fur/hair to reduce drag in the water and keep them warm
She looks amazing! I love it!
With gesso, you can mix in acrylic paint to color it!
Really. I didn't know that 😆
AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL 💗❤️
Gorgeous!
hello congratulations for the beautiful dolls you customize, by any chance you also make creations on commission?
No I'm not taking commissions 💔 sorry

I do three mermaids with ball jointed tails by hands, i don't have 3d printer, but another theme. Your is so beautiful like deep underwater creation
Respect for doing the tails by hand! I need to try that for my next mermaid doll! Maybe for next year!
A longer tale looks so much more realistic in my opinion she's absolutely beautiful I love her so much

Wow beautiful

U can always add black color to your gesso to change its color.
Really? I didn't know that 😆 Well I guess that's what happens when you don't have an art backround.
@@josephines.creatures we all live and learn, some of the best artists I’ve ever seen do NOT hav an art background! 😊

Try mixing the paint with mod podge before painting the scalp....that should help the paint to stay.
