I credit Never Quite Fishing for the idea, I just found the cheaper Amazon product that also works. I think it is a cool hack. Thank you for the feedback! Fish on!!!!
What I don't like about the bait threader needle is how long it is and sharp it is. If you needed to push it through this huge bead, it may be difficult and poke your hand. This tool had a nice wooden handle, which I like. Good point about the Rapala loop. I have never used or heard of it.
Just fishing Lured bead incognitos saves all this extra work. Hard bead in the center with a sod bead wrapped around it. Tie in a glass bead and fish never have to worry about them pulling over the stopper
If you watched until the end I gave Randy Lured a shout out for having my favorite beads, the incognito. But again, the point of my hack was not having to tie in a glass bead. Tying in a glass bead is the best option, but putting on a bead stop is a fast way to get fishing without tying an extra knot. Everyone has their preferences. Thanks for mentioning the Lured beads! Fish on!
@@keepemwet No one "needs" anything. We choose beads from companies we love, like Lured by the Bead. So, regardless of whether we tie in a glass bead, or use another method, if we want a Lured bead then we get one. What brand beads do you prefer to use?
@@shaunlehman9158 I'm saying that you don't need to tie in a glass bead to make a bead stop. There are other ways to stop the bead from moving. People can choose any way they want.
New to bead fishing . . . so why three fingers above the hook (fish bite bead and the set hooks them in the side of the mouth?)? Blessings in the new year . . .
@@warrenkoch4887 yes sir, that is the reason. If the bead is at the hook (especially hard beads) the fish could have leverage to pop the hook out. With that space between the hook and bead when the fish bites the bead the hook has a better chance of getting set. Bead fishing is difficult to get used to at first, but it works. Getting it down in the strike zone is the challenge. Fish on!
Look into the clear Carolina keeper that clamps on your line and all you need are your forceps look into that put on the bottom of your egg and the egg stay in place
Okay, nice. Cool product but it won't work for steelhead. It's way too big and bulky. That's why I used a clear small rubber bead stop because it's small and does not obscure the natural bead presentation. Thanks for sharing!
So we're at golf ball sized beads now? Do you run that with a 6/0 hook? Im not going over 25mm. They may work but so does 8-25mm and they're easier to store. I mean there's nothing wrong if a guy wants to use them but i think we're getting a bit ridiculous on the sizes.
I think that big bead would work great for coho on the Cowlitz river . We get most our fish on eggs , so why not a bead that looks like an egg cluster?!!
@@everythingfishing5450 that is an added benefit, but also can be a problem because when you run your big bead over your small stopper bead it enlarges the hole and can cause the bead to side down over the stopper more often. There is pros and cons for every setup and it depends on how you fish. Good comment.
The whole point is to have a took that does not have a sharp point on the other end. Having a handle makes it easier to apply. That is the point. You can use a needle, but that does not work for me. Thanks for your input!

That's awesome you guys figured out that a crocheting needle can be used to setup beads.🎉

@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 tight lines bud
Bait threader works well too. Rapala loop doubles as bead stopper knot and you can change or the size of hook easily.

@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 is a bait feeder needle, has a hook on it and a handle similar to the thread hook
@NorthweSteelheadJunkies yeah, I'm not sure what type your talking about

if your tying on a glass bead then you dont need lured beads....

I'm not saying I'm going to fish it, except maybe for fun. I just bought it because it was ridiculous.

Good idea. But tying the glass bead on the line you can just run the beads through the hook let’s you change beads with ease.
