Prince was absolutely amazing and emotional! & i swear he channeled Jimi Hendrix in this solo. He turned Radio Heads songs to a 70's rock free style and i'm all for it!
man I remember sitting in front of the TV as a 16 year old kid who had just left secondary school watching that top of the pops performance and thinking this is incredible, it had such an impact on me, it was like a light switch went off in my head and I suddenly thought, music is bloody amazing! I had never heard of Radiohead and had never seen a performance like that before by a band ( especially on top of the pops ) and from that day I just become a huge fan of their music and it was instrumental in me becoming a fan of albums by decent musicians in general!
I (and all emotional nerds) love this song. It's VERY relatable to many people. We all were young and felt out of place... I understand why they don't like it. It turned their style to more experimental things, which is actually a good thing.
The organist in the video with Puddles is the Organist for the Atlanta Braves. And Puddles' version was supposed to be creepy, hence the title "Creep".
Thank you Dev because I got chills too. Listen, Prince is my fav of all-time but for me it fell a little short of the original. IMO. The solo though...whew that was good. Oh you know how bout the original cut with Prince's solo? Hmmm maybe. Liv4luv 0(+->
Radiohead rulz and to their creativity, yes good stuff. alt stuff yes also good. Beatles pretty much gave permission to every other band to come on that alternative stuff. beatles then pink floyd and abbey road nuff said.
Cheers guys that was fun. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would (apart from those idiot judges!). They grew sick of being defined by Creep and they wrote 'My Iron lung' on the next album (the Bends) as a reaction to it - 'This is our new song/just like the last one/a total waste of time - my iron lung'.

It must be said that Radiohead approved and liked Prince’s version.
Prince is a guitar God 🎉

I’m glad they played the video by the master Prince.
PRINCE !!!

The thing I like about your channel is that you turned me on to music I've never heard or know little of. Many Thanks.
Thank God I got to see Prince before I gouged my eyes out after I saw that game show performance.
Damn, i actually really f*ck with that Prince version, man was a damn genius! The last performance needs to be scrubbed from the internet, though
COMEPLETELY horrible
um.... Prince was never creepy...that is why he did it his way. Isn't the whole point of covering a song to put your own spin on it?
prince was special do anything play anything

You should hear the version done by Postmodern Jukebox, with Haley Reinhart singing.

How would you know his crowd

Look at the version they made of Ceremony by Joy Division/New Order, you'll like it
you should listen to the postmodern jukebox cover of this...
Why have you not completed the Radiohead concert...
“I don’t have to think about it in any kind of way”
Red flag guys
Give me Radiohead or give me dea-😊
Everything was great... until that last group. They were more creepy than Puddles.
He never said creep and he went back and forth saying they are and he is a....
Prince version was beyond awful. Plodding, pedestrian and painful.
You should sell the drugs you are on
