When I was 12 in a pet shop, a darn monkey in a cage grabbed my hand and bit the hell out of my finger. I have had it in for monkeys ever since. This video cured at least some of my monkey PTSD.
What? You mean they don't dance around singing with other animals like according to Disney? LOL! Jokes aside primates in general can be incredibly vicious animals, especially baboons which are known for ambushing and killing kids in Africa.
Matt, you have done a lot for the airgun community. I really appreciate that. Whenever there is something new or I need to learn something to be more efficient with my shooting or need help with my air rifles, I can always count on your channel and find s video that will help me with that subject. Thanks, mate.
I have lost count of just how many times I have watched your video diaries and I find myself mesmerized by the beautiful life of your country. Excellent work by helping keep things in check. Some may not understand or agree but a lot of us get it. Nice to see you both being the ultimate team. God bless you both. Take care!
Hi Matt, Dave Lopez here from the Philippines. I just want to say thank you for being an inspiration to me and my fellow Pilipino. Keep it up. And hope someday, there will be an Imported airgun company here in the Philippines like the Fx, Daystate and other brands.
I have many different rifle calibers and 22-250 is my favorite to shoot. Cheap to load, low recoil, laser flat trajectory. It does have it's limitations but it is perfect for varminting. Great video as always!
That one monkey's head went all over. You could see the strings of brain matter glinting in the sun. I use my 22-250 for everything. V max for varmints and a spire point for everything else. Wood chucks, coyotes, deer, it does it all. I shot a deer a few years ago and it's head did the same thing as that monkey....gone.
Love your Oxwagon series... The scenery is incredible, as is the variety of game... Love the monkey and baboon episodes - the buggers are such relentless pests.
I love the way the monkeys heads explode and chunks and blood fly out the exit side of their little heads. Looks to be a good time for all. Keep these videos coming they are great.
22-250 with a Vmax is popular in Canada for things like coyotes, because it kills ‘em but only leaves one hole, so the fur is better. But for sure hyper fast with light projectiles have advantages and limitations
Great video Matt 🤗 Impressed by the 483 yards 😎 But being an Viking Airgunner the groups at 100 m are simply amazing!! Looking forward to your next video 🙂
Greeting from Comox British Columbia! I've been a fan of this channel for some time. I have to admit. My fave vids are when you're culling monkey's with the .22-250!! Some would say thats its sick, but the hydrostatic shock of that round... Its SO gratifying! I will have to add that one to my collection! Thanks, keep up the great work!
Love the series and thank you for sharing the more private parts of your life such as your health, friends and that your wife is now part of the journey in this series. Looks like she enjoys being out there with you. Hope the series never ends.
Wish we had monkeys here. My AR-15 would dominate.. I have a 40gr vmax load that's 3520fps for varmints and it's devastating. Only 3in of drop at 300yds
and what do you and your dog eat? Get everyone to do the dirty work for you. If you are eating veggies you have low wage people doing that for you. Get real.
I’m with you on that, I use .243 for just about everything, hogs, coyotes.. I have a couple and also a few 6.5 CM’s but the .243 is really an under rated cartridge. Extremely capable round. The 6.5 with a 90 Gn ballistic tip is devastating also but more expensive to shoot in volume.
Amazing video. Amazing shooting. The slugs are preforming maybe even better than the rim fires are. You 2 make a very cute couple and I’m happy that she is so dearly involved with your hunting videos. I think the married life is suiting you both so well because she seems to glow more with each video. Very lucky couple. So happy for you both. God bless.
Not complaining cause I love all your videos, but I was amazed you used the footage of the monkey whose head exploded. Still saving up for my own tikka .22 250 t3 varmint rifle.
Nice videos, question from Mirabel, Quebec-Canada: do you leave your kills on the ground, or you need to pick them out, and process them? or even show it to the farmer to get paid? Your truck looks almost like mine, I have a Tacoma, maybe yours is a Hilux(diesel)?
just a suggestion, but maybe video the shots with a spotting scope. The recoil, though slight, doesn't really let us see the placement of the shot or fall. As I said, just a suggestion. Cool videos.
I used to shoot the lightest bullet I could find in 22-250 which was usually a 45-50 grain bullet. They were fast, but lost velocity like crazy due to a somewhat mediocre ballistic coefficient. I have since switched to 69 grain Sierra Tipped Match Kings. Velocity is a bit lower at 3200 fps, but they are an amazing bullet that retains velocity much farther than the lighter bullets.
What is the barrel twist rate on the Tikka? If it is fast enough, you can use a bonded or Barnes TTSX in the 60 to 64 grain range for larger game. I have had great luck with these on Whitetail Deer using my 22-250.
Absolutely brilliant photography. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with species that most of us will never have the opportunity to hunt. Most of us can hunt pigeons and rats but not vervets, baboons and dassies. I too love my 22-250 Remington and have had it by my side for most of my life. This is the most professionally produced channel that I have viewed. Again, many thanks.
I would love to try hunting monkeys and baboons. I definitely don’t want to hunt other animals, but I think that taking out a few troops of monkeys and baboons would be quite satisfying…
I had a Winchester model 70 that was my first 22-250 I loved it! And then I got a Savage heavy barrel 22 250 with a Simmons scope Harris bipod and I could hit quarters with that thing at 200 yards five shot groups consistently I hit coyotes up to 400 yards with that 22 250 standing up without even using a bipod and I like those I use 55 grain ballistic tips I love them the Hornady ballistic tips they were so accurate I really miss that gun! Out here in Texas we have a lot of plains and it's easy to get them shots up to 400 yards I never shot anything further than that love that 22 -250 is such an accurate cartridge! Not shooting too, I don't know if you've ever tried the bull barrel but man that thing was much more sweet shooting than the model 70 Winchester!
Wonder what would happen to one of those monkey's with my Barret .50cal in hand. :O :D Greetings from the mountains of Virginia/US. Beautiful lands btw.. Subbed!
Excellent video Matt , such beautiful scenery and excellent shooting too . It's always a good thing to go hunting somewhere you have never been before .
I love the 22-250 and am able to use it on medium size game where I live here in the states. I have used it on anything from fox to whitetail deer and dispatches very well. Love the video!
Very cool video! I would love to live in an area kinda like that in the American southwest. Beautiful country! I have a custom ( old ) 98 Mauser in 22-250, still getting to know it. Thank you for the awesome video! Liked and subscribed.
Please keep putting up these Vids of smashing these pests! Thank god we don't have HORRID, dangerous, and destructive pests, like you folks down there have! It seems to be a great varmint round. Over here in Western Canada, and especially in the prairies its seems to be a popular round for Prairie Dogs. They does LOTs of undermining. in OUR vast bread basket. On Vancouver island (Were I live) it also has a great niche. Thanks again for the great vids!
Awesome work. I'm curious on the approx. size these monkeys are. As an Aussie it's great to see others shooting for agricultural protection and pest control 👌
Hi Matt, how many rounds have you fired through you 22-250? Have you re-barreled it? Some of the forums claim you get only 800-1200 rounds before the barrel is worn.
Great video. Did you say the rifle was a tikka? I used to shoot a ruger no1 heavy barrel varmint in 22.250 which was very accurate with a Leopold scope. Also, one time at a out 250 yards I shot at a coyote and the bullet which was a 52 grain Sierra flow point hit a fence wire and exploded just stinging the coyote and knocking a little fur off him or her. It I'm sure was very cautious from then on and that coyote turned inside out running to the next zip code. 🤣 Thanks so much for sharing
For pigeons just wait till dark and grab them and bag them. You can sell them. No need to shoot at point blank range. My older brother had a 22-250 Very accurate even at 500 yards.
Love my Sako 22.250 for Australian conditions. I use the old Nosler 55gn solid base, of which I have heaps left. They are brilliant on goats, wild dogs and smaller pigs and devastating on roos when you have a permit. Still accurate enough to head shoot rabbits if you want a feed. Loving the videos mate.
Curious as to the laws on suppressors. Here in the states you've to get fingerprinted and extra background checks that take about 9-12months before getting the suppressor.
Thanks for yet Another Great vidclip .... Thanks too for the Beautiful Scenery footage .... Aaaiii, maar dis Mooi Wereld .... Groete uit New Zealand .... Best to All .... Cheers
I just last month got 2 Tikka's (30-06 and 308) and I realy like them. I have Browning x-bolt in 223 and it's good for range day and for smaller game but for moose and wildboar I use 30-06.
I miss my Winchester Model 70 22-250. 55gr bulk winchester bullets in front of IMR3031, cheap woodchuck medicine. 600yds 1st shot clay pigeon was my longest shot with it. The clay was on a 36" steel target, shot was within 1" of hold point. Luck was with me on wind. The Hornady 60gr hp would be pig capable if you do your part and miss the twigs.
Hello! I have a wind question. I've seen many of your setups for crosswinds. But I see no advice on shooting upwind or downwind for setups. What do you say?

I’m with you man I’d kill to get a few rounds off at those hairy bastards
you're a psychopath
Cool story bro...
Vengeance is best served cold! Thought about a little 'Do it yourself?
Finally someone who knows what to do with monkeys
I agree with you 100%!!! Nasty vermin garbage animals!!!
Please keep the slow motion head shots coming, your a good shot and know you can do this for us.
Matt, you have done a lot for the airgun community. I really appreciate that. Whenever there is something new or I need to learn something to be more efficient with my shooting or need help with my air rifles, I can always count on your channel and find s video that will help me with that subject. Thats really not his country his ancestors killed all the natives with no remorse similar like he is killing these monkeys.
Hi Matt, Dave Lopez here from the Philippines. I just want to say thank you for being an inspiration to me and my fellow Pilipino. Keep it up. And hope someday, there will be an Imported airgun company here in the Philippines like the Fx, Daystate and other brands.

i never knew how hard 22-250 hits. The ballistics seem unreal.
That one monkey's head went all over. You could see the strings of brain matter glinting in the sun.

I shoot lots of Yotes with my 250.... LOVE it! 😎👍
22-250. Reach out and touch something. FAST! Love my 22-250's 😁
Mine too!
Thank you for sharing your great hunting videos, it sure cheers me up when or even before I start watching your videos
4:15 - Holy cow! That turned it's head inside out. Well done there.
That rifle is a zapper
4:19 Gives "Boom! Head-shot" a whole new meaning. 😄
That vermin garbage animal won’t be raiding any more fields or fruit trees!!!
TF?
Uhhh, go see a therapist buddy.
The 22-250 is nothing but Awesome.
Very nicely done! Thanks so much for bringing us along!
22-250 with a Vmax is popular in Canada for things like coyotes, because it kills ‘em but only leaves one hole, so the fur is better. But for sure hyper fast with light projectiles have advantages and limitations
i love the casual talk at 04:17 meanwhile a monkeys brains explodes all over the land LOL!!!!!
Great video Matt 🤗
Impressed by the 483 yards 😎 But being an Viking Airgunner the groups at 100 m are simply amazing!!
Looking forward to your next video 🙂
My friend, you are a marksman. 22-250 or .22 caliber air rifle, I am in awe of your expertise.
One day I will hunt with Matt Dubber. Mark my words.
Great video Matt.
Bought a Diana when I was a kid. Can’t remember the model but it was a great gun and I regret selling it.
Love the series and thank you for sharing the more private parts of your life such as your health, friends and that your wife is now part of the journey in this series. Looks like she enjoys being out there with you. Hope the series never ends.
I do look forward to these 'Oxwagon Diaries series.
Nice shooting video too. Excellent shooting.
Wish we had monkeys here. My AR-15 would dominate.. I have a 40gr vmax load that's 3520fps for varmints and it's devastating. Only 3in of drop at 300yds
Finally oxwagon diary came out, regards from Indonesian.
The more I get to know humans, the more I love my dog
and what do you and your dog eat? Get everyone to do the dirty work for you. If you are eating veggies you have low wage people doing that for you. Get real.
@@Ferp50 I ain't eating monkeys
WOW Matt.. @4.15 you made a sunroof from a monkey.. need that 22-250.. it's like a Magic wand...
That is a nice rifle. You could go with a 243 for the hogs and still hit monkeys.

@4:17 poor little guy lost his mind 😳
@@joshuagibson2520 accuracy wise my friend. Definitely not up there with my favorite the .22 WMR in the way of velocity🤷♂️
Not complaining cause I love all your videos, but I was amazed you used the footage of the monkey whose head exploded. Still saving up for my own tikka .22 250 t3 varmint rifle.

Matt beautiful country and some awesome shots even with the sun causing some problems , can't wait to see more
Are you allowed to use thermal assistance or sights?
Love your videos Matt! Will watch later tonight!

Nothing beats watching a Tree Rat rag doll after a direct tap to the face! Fantastic video as always!

I’d like to see a few of them shot with a LAR Grizzly Big Bore or 700 Nitro Express… it would be cool to see videos of monkeys just exploding!!!
Excellent video Matt , such beautiful scenery and excellent shooting too .
It's always a good thing to go hunting somewhere you have never been before .
"SHHHH, dont tell the others!" !!!!😍😍😍👍
I love high velocity small calibres!
Awesome! Cool video. I shoot Yotes with my 250 Tikka, LOVE it! 😎👍🍁

showing my total ignorance, are there any 22-250 hard cast or copper bullets you could carry encase of a encounter with pigs etc?
Please keep putting up these Vids of smashing these pests! Thank god we don't have HORRID, dangerous, and destructive pests, like you folks down there have!

Dudes living the dream man this must be an amazing buzz.
Awesome.
Thank you, very enjoyable editing.
My favorite small bore cartridge. 38grn of H380 under a 52gr pill at 3800fps does the job.
Awesome work. I'm curious on the approx. size these monkeys are. As an Aussie it's great to see others shooting for agricultural protection and pest control 👌
Average around 300 to 400mm sitting.
I'm interested in coming to SA and helping with the monkey and baboon issues. Is there a link to get more information how to do this?
Excellent choice, they only make a small hole ))
I used to shoot a .220 Swift years ago and it was a great varmint piece.
Is it getting harder as the easy ones are taken out? Do you think they are associating the vehicle with danger?
Are these d&mned things smart enough to figure that out? These nasty things are just really pretty damned stupid…
Hi Matt, how many rounds have you fired through you 22-250? Have you re-barreled it? Some of the forums claim you get only 800-1200 rounds before the barrel is worn.

Hi Matt,
Love your choice of background music, so Impartial
For pigeons just wait till dark and grab them and bag them. You can sell them. No need to shoot at point blank range.
My older brother had a 22-250 Very accurate even at 500 yards.
Are the monkeys that you harvest left for predators?
This looks so much like the American Southwest it blows my mind.

Love these videos.
With the 22 250 scope and all the attachments how much do they run
Hi Matt, I like your Videos! Please which riffle ist the 22 250? Best wishes roland
I had the great pleasure of shooting a 22-250 at one time in my life I was amazed by the accuracy and complete devastation that the round delivers
awesome fella! great footage! great shooting!
What borecleaning solution do you use, and lubricant?...
I have a bergara hmr with a 1-9 twist. I was told the lightest I should shoot is a 53 gr. Is this true? Those vmax at 3680 put a coyote down hard
I remember how numerous the baboons and monkeys were.
Seen one troop of I was guessing minimum 50.
04:21 👍 that monkey’s head got turned inside out!!!
Curious as to the laws on suppressors. Here in the states you've to get fingerprinted and extra background checks that take about 9-12months before getting the suppressor.

I just last month got 2 Tikka's (30-06 and 308) and I realy like them. I have Browning x-bolt in 223 and it's good for range day and for smaller game but for moose and wildboar I use 30-06.
Beautiful!
Love your vids bro greetings from philippines
You can’t always see the impact of your 22/250 but you can always hear the impact.
Greetings from the Emerald Isle, BRILLANT video once again!! keep em coming, love that Tika, countryside is amazing. Oh ya great shooting by the way:)
Mat your videos are excellent
Good shooting ,,, 22 250 my longest and most memorable shot was 480 got a magpie great day spent sighting in gun and gave it a good go one way out ..
Loved the video them monkeys definitely were having a great day. ✌️ From the U.S.A
I miss my Winchester Model 70 22-250. 55gr bulk winchester bullets in front of IMR3031, cheap woodchuck medicine. 600yds 1st shot clay pigeon was my longest shot with it. The clay was on a 36" steel target, shot was within 1" of hold point. Luck was with me on wind. The Hornady 60gr hp would be pig capable if you do your part and miss the twigs.
Great video, amazing landscape
Super Matt...!!!
👍👍
That was enjoyable, thanks for sharing.
I love oxswagon,,i love this chanel
Excellent video again!! Thanks
Hello! I have a wind question. I've seen many of your setups for crosswinds. But I see no advice on shooting upwind or downwind for setups. What do you say?
awesome matt we want more 22-250 action please !!!!!!! :)
Nice, I just got a 22-250 loaded first load 50vmax with 40grsins of h380 got 3900 FPS was very supposed how fast it shoots
Man you really spanked those monkeys!
Awesome shots
Awesome..stay safe.
For pigs use a 55 grain spear point boat tail w/cannelure. Almost the same ballistics as your vmax but will not disintegrate so quickly.
3:30 slow it down to .25x, straight carnage
