Matt, You are the second airgunner I ever watched on youtube. But you are definitely a producer of best quality videos displaying your hobby and beautiful places you visit on hunting occasions. Your ballistic series was outstanding handful piece of knowledge you shared. Thank you
For better or worse, Through thick or thin, Til death do you part! Life is easy if your life partner shares the duties equally. Awesome stuff great video series!
Hi Matt, firstly I hope you're both keeping well and healthy. Secondly, you are not only a hugely talented producer but also extremely brave to camp so near the edge! Soooo enjoyable to watch your video - thank you so very much for taking the time to produce, direct, post online and present. Not only I'm envious but so is our Toyota Hilux - it's only managed the rough hills of Scotland! Take care both of you.
The effort really shows. Only subbed a couple of months a go after watching a lot of older episodes and the progressive refinement really shines. Came for the hunting and stayed for the scenery.
I love your hunting videos mate. And to hear you speak about avoidance of a certain area, even though it is one of your favorite spots, to let the area recover from the drought and to let the dassie(sp?) population recover really shows your consideration for the animals themselves. Even though you state certain things to show your consideration (humane kills, ammo consideration ECT), some may not believe, but your actions show it, And that you are a necessary part of the ecosystem. You don't do it just for the money or content or just to hunt animals. Great job 👍
I have watched almost every video on your site, I am amazed at the country in which you shoot. This video is special to me as it it is very similar terrain to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia where my trusty Rem 788 22.250 and I have roamed over the years. The 788 gave up after countless rounds, then came the Howa, and then... Back then I did not have the luxury of a 4 wheel drive, but my vehicles always went where my nose pointed and got me home again. Like you, I was blessed with a partner that went where the wind blew us. We had so many great adventures and not so great, now in my 7th decade my shooting days are over. Thanks for your great videos, they let me drift back in time.
Thank you for having the balls to show footage of you ending these destructive vermin Matt. I hope someday people will become educated enough to end the stigma behind primate hunting. Keep up the good work, you're a blessing to these farmers, and a credit to the spirit of South Africa! God bless.
The first time I've seen a set up like you have on your truck. That is just really cool. I've been watching your videos for a pretty long time and I believe your cinematography has vastly improved.
Hi Matt. Cracking video again, perfect camping spot. Just need to be careful when nature calls in the middle of the night. End up falling down that bloody cliff 😁.
I've been following your channel for quite a few years now and I must say this is the first time you mentioned that you would be having a beer instead of coffee! 😆 Once again great shooting and an awesome OW diaries video that makes you feel part of the adventures. Thanks Matt! 🍻
Your videos have really got me into hunting with pcp air rifles and your videos are so enjoyable to watch and so informative too. Would love a video about your set up for your truck The layout is perfect. Thanks for the great content.
In America the prices of ammo have gone through the roof. I’m really considering selling a couple of my guns and picking up some thing similar to your FX impact. Also, love the monkey hunts. They’re so dynamic and intelligent it makes for awesome footage and I know the farmers appreciate it. If I ever get enough money I would love to come over and hunt or even just ride along or film. Thanks for all the awesome content❤️🇿🇦🇺🇸 👍🏻👍🏻
Airguns have been affected as well from people moving from firearms to airguns for supplementary purposes. Most .25/.22 on most stores is almost always out of stock or 10+USD over asking price. Even .22lr are 20 cents pr depending on the store.
@@airgunalley6716 I think it mainly has to do with the prices of raw material and inflation in general. The oos part could be due to not meeting supply and demand but we do also have a huge unemployment crisis as well
I moved from Texas to California and… the price of gas and ammo here is essentially double that in the great republic of texas. My 4Runner and firearms are not happy campers. I probably need to get an FX
That Hilux is a beauty! I love how you kitted it out, and that campsite is spectacular! This should be a Toyota commercial. Man I wish they would bring the diesel Hilux to the USA!!!
"...that is called dedication". No Matt. That is called being a newlywed. 10 years from now you'll still get your warm shower first thing in the morning, but you'll get it because she wakes you up at 2 am so that you 'remember' to get out and start that fire for the shower.
Gotta tell you, to a Canadian, monkey hunting is something that take a small amount of work to get you’re head around, but I’ve seen videos of how out of hand and troublesome they can be. I’d never live anywhere else but here, but you show some spectacular, and totally different from the typical grass lands and cheeta stuff we always see. Very enlightening stuff you’re showing. One question though, wouldn’t it be better to be camouflaged ?
Hi. I did watch many of your videos I could here from Curacao in the Caribbean. When you show the de pellets or slugs you take our from the animals or from the ground plate I a site of a new one because many of us don't know all these pellets and slugs by name
Your drone footage while driving was very well done. Your countryside was beautiful in spite of the dry weather. Thank you so much for providing video of your monkey and dassie hunts. Rats and pigeons infest many other countries as well but you've given us footage of species that most of us will never get to hunt. You and your wife make a great team.
Loved it!! Considering where you drive...you might consider putting 16 inch wheels on your Toyota so that you can air down more on rough terrain. I have do so on my FJ Cruiser and it makes a world of difference on ride comfort.
I love the Oxwagon Diaries. Serious question Matt. South Africa to the outsider seems like the perfect place to live as an outdoorsman. But is it at good as it seems on the videos? If you were given the opportunity to move and live anywhere else in the world with the same finances, would you leave South Africa or would you stay? Just trying to gauge to see if it is that good that you'll give up living anywhere else to stay in South Africa? Thanks Matt.
When there was a scare that the S.A gov would ban reloading for ammo, he said he would be unable to hunt and produce these videos for us. I took that as a hint that he would not move out of S.A, regardless of the situation.
hi matt , can you help me ? i want to buy a pcp air rifle with a very high number of shots more than 600 shots with one filling i dont need higher joule for me its enough to shot 7,5 joule max is 16 joule power more not and 4,5mm 177 caliber I ask you you surely have more experience in this area , do you know what a typ air rifle can do this ? a pcp air rifle in caliber 4,5mm 177 with just one filling more than 600 shots with 500- 530- 580cc tank ? thank you

My friend has the same ford montana you had 4x4. He done lesotho and using it for 4x4 challenges. He won the wildebeest 4x4 challenge with is bakkie. Lol
Do you know mate since I've been watching all the videos you make I've never eaten a pigeon and then I thought id give it a go after I saw you wrapping some bacon around a piece so that's what I did put it on the BBQ now I will eat as many as I can get bloody lovely thanks for showing your videos they're all great although I was just wondering if you can eat the monkeys or not a bit disgusting I would think I would think maybe disease but I don't know so if you get time just let us know if you do or you don't I was just curious on the for eating the baboons or The Monkees anyway thanks mate legend great job enjoy every video you make please don't stop
would love to see one of these shots on the monkey dissected, saw one shot that appears it went through and kicked up dirt behind. If they do not go through, what they end up looking like after expansion.

Never let your wife forget how much you love her and how important to you she is. You got a keeper in her, so be worthy of her love and affection.
You can tell all that????
Your film and editing skills are world class. God bless South Africa.
The effort really shows. Only subbed a couple of months a go after watching a lot of older episodes and the progressive refinement really shines. Came for the hunting and stayed for the scenery.
Agreed.
Just a really nice down to Earth guy.

Love that truck set-up. Its AWESOME. Great video as well.
Matt, your "Bucky" is setup so well, I really like all the innovative features you have for camping, hunting and filming!
Matt ; I must say, you are one helluva shot , vidiographer and all around gun nut. I really enjoy your videos.
Such a great video. I for one love hints where you get lost for a bit.
Very well filmed!! Love it!!
Thank you for taking us along ! 🍀👍🏻

My wife doesn't know there's 2 five o'clocks in a day....lol great video.
I’m surprised you walk the bush where snakes are in flip flops. I’d be having some hiking boots on.
Well done Matt, Great footage and you both could not have chosen a more spectacular campsite for the evening...Happy days, what a view! 😎 Aus

Fun to watch on the phone but AMAZING ON A 72" HD Screen!

What does monkey taste like? Do you ever process them or are they left to nature once dispatched?
Your best video yet. Spectacular drone footage.
Thank you! It is my favourite from this season as well
Say goodbye to my savings account. Say hello to my new truck with a built in tent!
Can we take medium game like deer hogs with .22 air rifle
Please reply

Great video. What caliber is the Impact you are using in this episode?
The drone footage reminds me of the videos by Itchy Boots channel.
Still wearing those great hiking shoes
what kind of truck bed box is that? That has the spot for the cooler to come out on angle like that?
Another great video. Thanks. Can't wait to see Nicole shooting along with you. Jess
New subscriber ... I have really been enjoying your videos. Very nice, great shooting.
Where’s the extended version?
Always enjoy hour videos man👍🏻👍🏻 What company awning are you using
Awning is made by QuickPitch
what a cool camping fold out tent. nice
Where can I get a truck like that? wow a real set up for hunting a large area.
Hey Matt what is that compression coffee maker I see you use? Please send link. Thx
Proper close to the edge at the camp site
Hi Matt, just a simple question, I never see you shoot a .25 or .30 any reason you stick to .22
.25 & .30 airguns are not legal in SA
What do you do with the monkeys afterwards?...are they eaten?
Eaten by leopards and jackals.
Really cool tent. Who is a manufacturer ?
Love jou videos Matt ; wens ek kon ook n fx pellet gehad het ; jys n groot insperasie vir my en Baie rondom die wereld
I like this Vidio my friend
Always looking forward to your next upload.
Maybe I missed it but what do 22-250 rounds cost for you? We're at $2 USD right per round. Reload is just under half of that price. Cheers.

No, but I have a 160 liter tank which will get me about 1300km on a fill so I’m all good😂
Perfect footage! Love it!
I love your hunting programmes but whats the point of shooting the monkeys? I mean who eats them?? Or are they harmful in anyway?
He has explained in previous videos that they are considered pests with no bag limit. They are very destructive in many ways when they over populate.
