Thank you for visiting the Choicemas "STOP THE CLOCK" Channel. I create content with hopes to inspire, motivate, educate, empower, and help others. A majority of my videos are Educational videos teaching the ins and outs of Safety and Securement, as well as the excitement of driving a 18 Wheeler Semi-Truck throughout the country. In addition, I have some inspirational, motivational commentary that I feel can help others. Recently I've opened up my page to Vlogs and Roadtrips with my wife and I that carry some humor and interest. I hope you can find videos you like, and if you do... give us a thumbs up and hit the subscribe button, as we sincerely appreciate the support and the amazing feedback we've received throughout the years. I started this channel knowing nothing at all and have come a very long way, and the journey has all been worth it. Many thanks to you all, God bless. -Choicemas - Развлечения
Okay Ive seen about 20 walk through my truck videos and yours is the best very organized very clean
My other half is about to join the trucker life....I appriciate you taking time to show how you organize and giving tips. This was extremely helpful
I don't know, but i'm thinking this brother should add to his
RUclips name. Professor of Trucking! All this knowledge he has been dropping on his channel to help all the new drivers as to what to expect when being on the road. Keep these great videos coming. Your an asset to the community.
PhillysOwn *humbled 👊🏼🙏🏼
Sir, where do you get your mint chew sticks from
Very organized my brother! 💯💯💯
Just got my truck and I was so clueless to organizing some of my things. I appreciate this video. Drive safe!
Appreciate that and you do the same!
Nice Setup. Thanks for the Tour ! Greetings from Germany.
Wow!! Germany in the building!! That’s cool to have someone show love all the way from Germany! Appreciate it fam! 👊🏼💯
The inside of your truck is amazingly clean for a flatbeder! 😳 If I didn’t watch so many of your videos, I would have thought you were a van or tanker puller. I clean out my truck, but mud and dirt from my boots (I flatbed) has my floor seemingly permanently dingy. Even after I sweep and wipe it down.🤷🏽♂️ Nice though 💪🏾
That was a great video Choice M.A.S. Will soon be starting CDL school and your video has definitely helped me to be planning ahead. Enjoyed the thoroughness of the information you provided. I liked your video so much I subscribed to your channel! Looking forward in seeing more of your videos. Stay safe.
Great video! Thanks.
Great video, very detailed. Excellent idea about the calendar.
Joel Crawford hey Joel thanks. I appreciate that. I got that idea from my trainer. It definitely makes it easy to track days OTR. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment too. RESPECT!
I absolutely love your set up!
Thanks Jen! And thanks for watching!
Man, i can’t believe how organised you are! It is a credit to you. And you’ve reminded me to think about what I need and what I must do to always be prepared and to keep on top of stuff! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Choice.
Thanks for watching and commenting Rob. Be cool bro and stay fresh!
My man has been at this for 30+ years....he RARELY runs his CB (entering emergency situations-flips on for updates-but then off once through)...says the same thing you do...too much garbage on it now LOL!!
Lisa Noyes exactly
Snack bucket...genius
..seriously your video helped tremendously! God bless you.
Awesome video Choice. Thanks for showing us around the house. Safe driving.
Thank you for the comment. 👊🏼💯
Awesome, I like it. I'm driving a Cascadia right now. Definitely going to use some of your examples, Thank you
Your welcome and thank YOU for watching!
Awesome set up definitely good ideas
+Daniel Loveall hey Dan thanks man. Gonna do some small mods to my headache rack and boxes soon too. Help with organization. 👍🏼
Just like my husband, I can't deal with too much stuff but then again it is there when we need it so I have learned to deal with it lol but good job and God Bless you and your family in this time.
thanks for the video, im a new trucker and got a lot of useful knowledge out of this for not only maintaining a clean truck but how to organize my truck better.
Thank you for watching!
Clean and organized... yessss 🤗
Super sweet video and set up brother!! Going to keep this to refer back to.
Thanks man, I’m not in a Peterbuilt with a new company and still keep my truck immaculate. I like it that way Driver 👊🏼💯
Choice M.A.S. appreciate your example! Looking forward to disciplining myself to keep it that way... also. Without having to pay someone else to do it :-)
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks For Watching!!
For your snacks to keep them organized use the slim storage baskets and to help your bed area smelling good get a spray bottle fill it with your favorite laundry softener about a 1/4 of the bottom fill the rest of the bottle with hot water shake make its blended well then spray down your bed and use the fabric sheet put one on the inside of each side of your pillow
I am EXACTLY like you . A clean and organized person I hate messy dirty environments. Everything HAS to be in its place and it MUST be CLEAN...i freak out otherwise. I would feel right at home in your truck . Great job man..
Thanks man, can’t do it, can’t be dirty or messy. Just feels good driving down the road that way too. 👊🏼💯
Thanks for this video bro. Wisdom.
Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
Choice, you need another watch!!!😊😊😊jk!! keep the great info comin!!👍🏻💯
Hahahaha yeah I just got another one, the Garmin Vivoactive HR!
Very neat and clean great video thanks for sharing!
Sans thanks and thanks for watching 👍🏼
I have that bear claw back scratcher too. Can't live without it.
Hell Yeah!
That’s a smart idea having those Hooks also it is a smart idea to think about what state you might be going to because every truckstop is different
Choice, I didn’t know you stopped flatbeding!!? 😲🤷🏽♂️ That’s why it’s so clean in there! 😂
Jamael Nettles I never stopped flatbedding 😂. Wont do anything else but Flatbed! I just keep my joint fresh, ALWAYS 😎
Choice M.A.S. Oh, ok. I thought you said in the video you were running refer. All good. We still need that DETAILED video I asked for about pointers on how to back and park a split axel flatbed trailer. They only teach backing using tandems on dry vans in school. As you know they don’t back the same. We need tips, My Guy ✊🏾 And you’re music selection is always banging 🤜🏾🤛🏾
Jamael Nettles oh shit maybe I was. I ran refer for 2 months in my first year of OTR but it was temporary until my lease truck was ready. Appreciate the feedback fam!
Choice M.A.S. Always Fam, I’m your student 🤜🏾🤛🏾 We STILL need that DETAILED backing video for flatbed trailers though 😉
Thanks for the tips. I'm a new driver with Prime Inc just waiting to upgrade. I've been looking at my trainers truck, asking myself what can I do, where can I put it. You keep an organized truck Sir. Once again thanks for the insight to my frustration.
Really good video bro! I plan on being a trucker after I retire from the militarty next year. Like you, I'm a clean and organized guy. I got a lot of great ideas from this video.
Good video. My new guys are always climbing in my truck to see what extra tools I keep on-board. I got the same supplements but I'm local so those are all at home. Keep up the good videos.
Thanks man. Do you train guys on Moffatt and Flatbed? If so, where? I’d like to swing a Moffatt one day. A good friend of line drives one every day in Connecticut, as he delivers stone work to home owners. He’s told me some interesting stories about that Moffatt 🤣🤣. I like an adventure. Makes for an interesting day 💯🙏🏼👊🏼
@Choicemas I train guys on Class A and Class B forklift trucks for Southwest states. So Cal, Arizona, and Nevada. The Moffett is fun once you get used to it. It's hard to find one of these jobs that pays what your worth for the risks you'll find yourself in. I'm a Hot Shot driver so I'll fly to different states for Markets struggling for drivers. That's the best pay. I've been stuck in Cali the driver turnover is ridiculous right now. I have a home in Vegas and Cali though.
“Get it like you gettin it brother!” I RESPECT IT! Some people need to see this comment and get at you for some advice and some other options in the game. Keep teaching the people. It’s anyway to give back! 💯🙏🏼👊🏼
Love your setup! I absolutely love elephants, they are truly supreme! I drive a truck myself, and I've gotten some good tips from your video, thank you for sharing! You fine too! Js
Many thanks, appreciate the compliment as well. Elephants are definitely supreme and it’s a small world out here L!!
Nice setup and organized. I remember my truck was never perfect organized esp with paperwork. It sure would of saved a few headaches.
gunterm2009 hahaha thanks Gunterm. I appreciate the supposed: yeah, I try my best to keep it immaculate. There are some times that I let it get a little disorganized but never DIRTY or MESSY. I don't like headaches lol.
Nice set up. I'm gonna copy that soon..
Thanks man 👊🏼💯
Good video bud you definitely kept it well organized. I subscribe to a couple who used to be a team and they used shoe organizer they hung up in sleeper to keep things in
Do you know the video? I’d like to see it. Thanks for the compliment and watching!
Choice M.A.S. well.It was in a lot of there vids would have to look back
here is the video of the shoe organizer ruclips.net/video/dkof0AQbAP8/видео.html
By far the best trucking Channel
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love how you're proactive with your health.
Not always but I give it a good effort. I go through phases R J!
Great video bro very informative!👌💪💪
Dam bro you are Very neat and organized the God blessed Peekskill in the house
Got to have the peanut butter 👍 If I owned a trucking company you would be the lead driver! ✌️ safe travels!
Great setup
Thank you!
Cool, very close to my set up.
Thanks bordercrosser!
Damn man you don't mess around!
Thanks Man! In a different truck now. Did a video on how I set up my Peterbilt 👊🏼
awesome video man! love the set up. you were way more thorough than anyone else. gives me a lot of ideas when I get my own truck.
Nate Willinger you already know, Nate! Thanks! 👊🏼
Thank you I appreciate your reply I hope I meet you. I definitely am considering vloging not to much info about Roehl on RUclips you are the only one.
Always respond, as I appreciate you for watching! Yeah, it will be cool to cross paths. It's easy to do out here. Yeah vlogging is cool, it's an outlet while out here on the road. Kepp in touch.
Nice video, I like the things you carry, and the healthy eating attitude, with the exercise. You might think of getting some more safety type equipment, if you don’t have it already. A good first aid kit is essential. A battery, or hand crank radio/sat phone. Fire starter kit. Some rope, and paracord . hopefully you’d never need the items.
U earned a sub bro
I remember me and my family whent to the woodland park zoo and the elephant got mad and started throwing whole trees towards people, they had to close the elephant section.
Yessir, peaceful and powerful beast!
Hey Choice great vedio. Nice clean and organized truck. Like the tv mount pretty cool you could use holes already there.
Thanks Dan. I try and keep it as clean as possible at ALL times. When we are out here it is our home, you know. Yes, I was determined to find a way to mount my TV as soon as I got into my own truck, and I thought this was the best way to do it.
“I just put it on there and mmmmmm” 😂 love your videos bruh 💯🙏🏽 drive safe
Appreciate it brother. Thank you.
Great video bro...
Hi, I'm new to your channel, also I like the way you explain things. I have my CDL and I'm thinking about going OTR.
Keep me posted Roslyn and anything I can do to help let me know. Email is in the description.
You did a really good job of putting this video together but as far as the carrying a gun situation goes. as long as you've gone through your concealed carry training and your state has reciprocity with the states that you work in you can carry a gun without a problem. I have a Smith & Wesson M&P that I carry with me but my area of operations is east of the Mississippi and I very rarely ever cross into a state that doesn't recognize my home States firearm laws. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I'll never take the chance of becoming a victim and I would suggest that all drivers look into your laws and take steps to protect yourself at all times. Take care y'all..
Glad to see another biggie fan
NYC, BK, ALL DAY!
Nice set up👍🏽
Thanks fam!
Just turned 21 going otr flatbed. Had my cdl since 18 but no job. My setup is same. I like staying clean and good looking inside/out. Got brand new Volvo vnl
Ramil Best of luck to you bro! The Volveezee!! 👊🏼💯
Salute 💯
Nice G-Shocks👌👍
Im in love!!!!
Good job
Thanks Chris! Different truck now but still the same in regard to neat, clean, and organized.
Thanks Chris!!
Like it 👍🏻
Thanks Miguel!
Impressive, you remind me of my dad, he's ex military
Set up good truck clean to
Thanks Tracy!! Appreciate that!
Good stuff bruh!
Thanks man, and thanks for watching!
As long as you abide by each state law you cross into. You can have a firearm in the truck. Maye have to lock it up in certain states. Certain permits aswell. Normally company policy will forbid it. Big fan of your channel big homie
That bat looks well used...
🤫
Dope!
Nice setup! We have two people and a dog living in ours and my OCD is out of control!!! 😂
I believe it! 👍🏼
One thing you should add is a first aid kit. I dont see a lot of truckers talk about first aid. Walmart has a nice big kit for like $12
I'm sure he has one since it's a DOT requirement and the same goes for fire extinguishers.
There is no dot requirement for a first aid kit.
Thank you so much for making this video. It’s so thorough. Also, what kind of sheets are those, they look mad comfortable
Thank YOU for watching. Just some regular bed sheets I got from Walmart. It’s how I set up my bed that is comfortable lol
yo dope gshock collection mane !
Yo man I love G-Shocks, NIXONS, and I have an Invicta selection as well. Just don’t bring this on the truck because it’s Guap!
Hey your videos are really funny , baking soda , I do that shit to . If you ever get stuck in northwest Washington state let me know . Be safe man . Dave
+Tarheel Boy will do Tarheel. I'm glad you could get some laughs out of em'. I'm no comedian, but I admit when I watch my videos after I make them, I am in my truck laughing at my damn self 😂. 👊🏼
I use baking soda with too. got to get them stains out
😬 👍🏼
Respect fam
Respect and Salute!
Thank you for all of your great informative tips! I have definitely learned a lot by watching your videos!! I would like to know a little about your experience working for Roehl Transport.... I trust your advice than that of a recruiter!! Sorry for all the questions... But you seem to be a very informative, a straight shooter, and a very cool dude! What trucks they use? Age of trucks? Fridges? Microwaves? Inverters? APU'S? Forced dispatches? Upper north east and California runs? How many miles a week? How many hours a week I can expect to work? What is starting pay? How is mileage calculated? PC miler program? Hub mile system? How long is schooling? How long do you drive with a trainer? How long do you have to work for them after schooling? Do you have to repay for schooling? How am I responsible for the schooling I get? Home time? Can I take truck home? How long would I get to be home? Rates for pick ups & drops? Waiting time pay? Pay for breakdowns? Pay for any hours of resets? Pay for in between loads? Passengers and pets allowed? Speed limiters? Sign on bonus? Benefits package? And that is about all that i can think of! Thanks again fora ll the great information in your videos... I sure do appreciate that!! Keep up the great work Man!! And be safe out there!!! God bless!! -Tony
Tony & Kris tony email me at choicemas@gmail. We can swap numbers and talk about it. Appreciate you tuning in and the feedback. 💯
So where are u hiding the crack in your tires lol just kidding thank u for the video!
Just a heads up to any truckers watching this video. This past October 2017 your mostly likely aware of the blitz the DOT just did on commercial truckers. One of our drivers got a ticket for having their GPS in the path of the wiper blade. Said it obstructed his line of vision. So make sure yours is out of the wiper path. Don't be giving these MF anymore reasons to hand out tickets.
Richard Short you are absolutely correct. Since then I have relocated my GPS to the top/middle of my windshield outside of the window wipers path 👍🏼
i agree i love the internationals
Well, I love the Petes but the Internationals do have nice sleepers.
Awesome video!!! I start with Roehl dry van division on the 22nd and I've being trying to research as much as I can, your videos has definitely been the best I've found. But I do have a question... as far as your inverters that you hook your TV and charge you laptop on, do you have to purchase them through Roehl and have them install it or are they your personal inverters?
They are personal inverters. One is 350 watt and another is 250 watt. You only need these in the Freightliners thought.. The new Internationals come with inverters.
I heard that as long as you have your gun in a lock box, separate lock boxes for the ammo, that it was ok
A person can only travel legally with heat in states that have reciprocity with the state where the person acquired their license. In addition, EVEN in those states some major cities prohibit carrying a firearm in or through those cities. Another thing to consider is several industrial plants have a strict NO FIREARM ON PREMISES clause, as well as ex-ray machines as you enter, and some scales are equipped with the ex-ray as well.
All that said it doesn't mean we don't carry anyway. My suggestion would be that if you choose to, keep it to yourself. Not even your best friend or family needs to know... imo
New sub. Like the vids.
Appreciate ya! Thanks for watching! 2018, about to shake some things up a bit! 💯
brother was in prison, I can just tell how he's organized and such. no judgement by me. keep on Rollin...
When you live in a confined space, and it's home, it's home. Just scaled way down. And organization is a must with smaller spaces. You have to be able to utilize the small area so it feels bigger. Stuff is convenient and accessible. But yea, comment comes from a caged soul.
💯 thats true 100% , I don’t use CB because some pple , talking shit all day , bla bla ,
It’s sad!
Fantastic video.....Where did you get the TV mount/Maker?
Bought the tv mount from Best Buy, not sure of the brand but it was basically universal. Just used the existing screws for the window to mount it. Worked out great!
Damn bro. You keep your shit clean AF.😎😎 Shit's a fresh change of pace to some of these MF trucks with trash all up in the passenger seat 🤢🤢
You do NEED to listen To the CB I've been doing this over 30 years you have no idea how many times I have had to try to get ahold of a driver to let them know they have a flat tire or a light was out or something about what's in the road ahead of them or something. A CB is part of the communications. you must use your CB. I've seen some of these drivers that don't use them and end up in a ditch or dead because they didn't know what was going on around them because they weren't listening to what was going on around them.Just a 30+ yr veterans opinion.
Revisiting this comment. Years have passed and I agree with you. The CB is a key tool for me on the road these days. As you said to help other drivers and to communicate while out here. This video was when I just started and was really turned off (and still am turned off) by the racist and disrespectful comments I hear all the time. However, I’ve come to agree that the CB is important. In fact, I’m headed down to GA in January to see Wolfman CB Shop to get a great set up. I respect your 30 years of experience and appreciate you leaving this comment for others to see and learn from. Peace and God Bless driver.
"Here's my toilet paper. No, I don't be shittin' in my truck, lets just get that out the way".....lol, no fabreeze strong enough for truckers yet eh?
i'm goin with a company that run teams I hope I find a brotha like you to team with you're a lot like me clean and healthy fruit and water brushin teef wit bakin soda people don't eat fruit these days.
Appreciate that Micah. Man, you’re reminding me of a commitment I made to myself this year and am yet to start and fulfill. Thank you.
they'll say what thats for and my answer is a tire knocker. but it also keeps away the cockroaches you deal with at truck stops.
francorama hahaha 💯
What is the druver cam called you use that flips on w/movement or whatever. Kinda like a ring doorbell but for your home away from home.
yvonne savoy most driver cams do that, any brand really. I made this video a long time ago and the driver can I had was trash I can to find out. Lots of times the companies have a cam that does that job as well. Today I have a Rand McNally overdrive8 that does it.
I’m sure you could use the top of that flat bill hat to store something.
You’re probably right. Just haven’t figured it out to yet.
😆
Late to the game, but I like your setup.
Planning to switch careers over to trucking and I’ve been binge watching trucking videos for a couple weeks just to make sure it’s what I want to do and to figure out who to sign up with.
You bring a lot of practical knowledge some people don’t mention, thanks bro!
How do u like the Auto vs Standard? I never really used an Auto. Not that popular while i was driving or i guess in early stages or what not. 13 speed with spliter was nice. One i really didn't like was Super 10 speed .
gunterm2009 I like the auto for traffic jams of course. But I prefer the manual because I like a manual for multiple reasons. I have more control over my truck with a manual for sure. Breaking, turning, downshifting, upshifting. I also feel like it keeps me busy while driving with the manual. Always something to do with the my hand and foot. The automatic has a killer jake break though. Slows you down very quickly considering you can't downshift. Did better MPG in the automatic as well, so I'll be challenging myself to accomplish the same MPG in my new truck which will be manual. Traffic jams the automatic is beautiful though. Never drove a 13 speed, but I would like to. All trucks are 10 speed, except the automatics show 12 gears on the dash
Hi there, what brand & size inverter do you have & did you have to hook it to the battery?
Hey I am coming to Roehl next month i went to school and obtained my cdl. I was wondering how is the pay and miles. I know you on flatbed side now. I should be doing dry van
Peace Michael. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Best of luck to you. The miles will be rough in the beginning but they will increase quickly or slowly depending on the driver, how hard they hustle, and their work ethic. In regard to pay, it all depends on the person and what they consider good pay or not so good pay. No matter what there is plenty of potential to do big things. It sounds like your on track though.
😀🇩🇴 Que vacano 😀🇩🇴
As long as you have the ccl amd fccl dot can not say anything to you about carrying weapons
That’s good appl sauce
Love it!
A bat within arms reach is a weapon charge in most states.
Well hopefully it will never need it to defend myself or keep myself from harms way. It is only then that it MIGHT be a weapon charge. And if in that case, I won’t have a problem using it for my protection and catching a weapons charge in exchange for me being harmed.
Curious.. Where do you do your push ups.. Maybe do a Volg on trucker'cize
I park at all lanes fitness whenever possible. Pushups done on my dumbbells (outside the truck) to help get a better extension as well. I’ll consider creating a video showing some exercises I do to stay fit. Thanks.
Unsalted almonds are great...
