In this video I sure the steps and procedures necessary to replace the coolant thermostat on a Nissan Titan. Years 2004 to current. these procedures will be the same for Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 as well. Nissan uses this thermostat for the new generation titans as well as the old generation titans. this particular vehicle is a 2006 Nissan titan 2wd. In this instance, if the vehicle sat idle in for more than five minutes the temperature will start to rise and the engine would overheat. I hope this video helps you out, if it has please like and subscribe, if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave something in the comment section. Thank you for watching

nice video. just as a little side note, the little pin on the side of the thermostat should be orientated up. that makes it easier for air to escape from the engine block. Doesn't really matter all that much, but I figured I would mention it.

for everyone following this video, A LOWER TEMP STAT IS NOT A GOOD MOVE. Engines have a design temp. When you use a lower temp stat, it will open earlier at a lower temp. This will only serve to INCREASE warm up time. If it's high-flow too, then it may cause the engine to not ever reach Design Temp. Just stick a 82C back in there. The install tutorial was great though.

A warning for those of you buying the thermostat: The gasket does not come on all the thermostats--without this gasket, your seal will leak. I found out by experience! And YES, this saved me 600$ which is what a local mechanic wanted to change this plus a back flush!

Hello, Aaron! Big fan of your channel as I also own a Titan myself. This is a long shot, but will you put on a tutorial on how to replace a radiator on a Nissan Titan?(Reading Titan forums online. Radiators seems to be a weak point in these vehicles?) I'm willing to donate as I think you're doing the community a big favor of saving us $ for us DYIers. We appreciate what you do. Thank you.

    • @AaronHinesAuto
