It is true that the are so my lazy citizens. Many of them will refuse this job if you offer them. They only like government jobs not this local job. Pls dont talk rubbish here. You know it is true that there are so many lazy youths out there who are busy waiting for the government to provide them jobs. Instead of starting from some local jobs. Perhaps they might grow richer with the local jobs.

One good thing is that these dredging boats were built in Onitsha, I saw where they use to build it around the Onitsha port. However, these guys needs further training on safety. They need life vest, coveralls, safety booths, eye goggles. I'm a ship captain and I understand there situation. The swimming is very odd they can use wooden boat and paddle.

Wow! They have advanced in technology. This is the area I grew up in. Back then, they will carry buckets and dive in side the river to extract sand from the deep of the river to fill their wooden boat. When they get to the offloading point, they will use head pan to carry the sand from the boat and take it up to the sand field. Very stressful back then. Thanks for Technology.

Eboh, you are a G. cool video, informative as you said it. Raw, hard, risky you name it , you did it.
That guy Henry Anyanwu, salute am for me, that him cigar big well well O. After all who wouldn't need a big fat smoke on such a beautiful river. But my mind couldn't help but start doing the maths. each boat load is 10 trips of sand. 1 trip of sand is between 17k and 20k that's about 170k to 200k per boat load. It takes 1hr to fill the boat and he does 7 trips a day. Mate he is looking at 1.4million naira a day about 42milion naira a month. even if Henry doesn't own the boat he could net 1 or 5million a month but i hope he owns that boat.
After work, a change of clothes, steps into his G Wagon off home to see the family. Eboh G you too deserve the millions for bringing this beautiful piece to us. Bless you all

Well-done bro, consider visiting Yenagoa, around swale market in Bayelsa, it is replete with this type of businesses but they don't use machines to drill the sand. The boys use a deep-holed shovel, dive to the bottom of this same river, scoop sand and swim up with it and poor it into an empty boat. They may do this at least 25 times to fill a single boat. It is a very tiring and dangerous work to do. Many never swim back up after diving into the river, sometimes due to tiredness swimming back up with the weight of the big shovel That is life, the hustle continue.
