Was curious how, and how many times you washed the jacket and pants, and if that contributed to the waterproofing wearing off
I’ve washed them only a few times but I reapplied a waterproofing spray after the first washing. I’ve always noticed mediocre waterproofing performance. Good for short bursts but not sustained wet weather.
Yeah, was in a downpour riding home. Shirt and mid thigh through crotch area was wet. Not fully water proof
Comfortable gear, but not waterproof and seems to show more wear than I’d hoped.
Will the pants take a street slide or this mainly mountain type pant?
I’d say they offer standard street protection. So I’m very confident on the road with them.

Why is it so hard to find affordable stuff that is actually waterproof? And why is gortex so expensive!
I guess they’re the best and have a great warranty, and nobody else is bringing the price down. Crazy!
