more like most anti american politics game ever! The american politicians really hate it and this is why i love this game. Tho by 2017 the Syrian war really was pretty much over in fact the deciding battles happened in 2016.
Ahh yes, geo-politics crosses into the realm of gaming. Love it. No right or wrong here, no opinion being stated. The Cold War 2.0 is playing out in every domain, and Everything is up for grabs. Hope everyone is paying attention. Like the old war, this one too is a Cold War of influence. This is a new generation all the together. That being said, this game is very accurate to the circumstances of the real conflict in Syria. I appreciate it as a piece of history more so than as a piece of propaganda.
what else race would you use as the enemy army in a game about US VS a middle eastern faction or country? that's like saying it's racist to have a Vietnam war game with the Vietnam solders as Asian. I'm hearing A lot of "WHA WHA WHA MUH BROWN PEOPLE". of course westerners are going to be offended by a game where their country and people are depicted as bad guys and killed. you're telling me the CCP and Chinese wouldn't? and the people of the middle east aren't now? Stop being so offended. I have this game and will enjoy it the same as I do any other game I play shooting any other race from any other country.
I heared some people being mad about that in this game the us are shown making fake news and being a sort of evil, but why is everybody so mad? American games are presenting russians as evil too so i dnt think thats a problem
Ok hold on. The south africans in angola. You know that the black woman killed their new borns to smuggle ammo and grenades inside them over borders or through south african checkpoints so recruiting children isnt that far from that. And that wasnt because of race. Because even blacks fought with the white south africans. I understand your point but not the same

9:34 Yeah, but that is not how war works in the modern era. Today a small infantry-unit with a cellphone can do ten times more damage then a WW2 division.
A small infantry unit with a fucking _cellphone_ can be tracked down and routed faster than any WWII division. Just need one missile guided by cell towers. (I assume you mean they have CAS, if so then you're still wrong because they need CAS or they're nothing)
Wait, a mission where your local imam has to talk to isis members to leave?? I think that's friggin brilliant, very interesting and unique in a video game! Now the execution on the other hand could be crap though or it could be good, that's what I'm interested in finding out.
Regarding your CoD player reference where theyre whinging they know who to shoot based on language and skin colour. That is war, know who your enemy is. Lets hope these wet flannels stay the fuck away from the armed forces.
wow what great review of a videogame. I came here because I stumball with this game in the internet and as a RTS consumer was wondering if it has what I'm looking for and... it seems it has! look at the distance and scale of the battle even when in reallity is still "small" it depicts a far more realistic engagement in modern warfare pretty interesting. Also I am a historian and I am surprise of the cuality of this video and your objective point of view in the matters around the game and the hidden motivations of the media. I will not enter in debating about modern politics and reinterpetation of historical topics by todays academic instituions or mass media, but I will in what is concern about the game itself. I think this game is a jewl and has potential I certenly I will give it a try but it seems to me that the developers wanted to move forward from the so boring company of heroes games like to explore modern warfare in the RTS mechanics. We saw some games that have try this with some succes in some points and failures in others( it comes to my mind World in Conflict ) but the sheer scale of contemporary war and the fact that civilians hasn't acces to a cualified knowledge or experience to depict how modern combat is conducted on a Tactical and Strategic level has made that the RTS genre afraid to investigate or explore this posibilities aplied to a videogame or maybe it's something else, I really don't know, but it is clear to my that there are very little games that offer insides as how war is in reality today. Thus, when I see somthing like this game I see it as a bold move from the developer and I have to aplaude boldness. I will try the game and look further into the implemented mechanics and see how it match with what we already can learn about the Syrian war and how combat is depicted in the large volume of recorded documentation and video files. Also your style and focus will certanly make me to visit your channel and see what topics interest me, good job, you already have my like.
But there are many games that feature the Iraq and Afghan Wars while they were/still are ongoing! First that comes to mind of course is Medal of Honor 2010. Okay, now that I've watched the full video.. quite a masterful review!! :D You do humanity honor and I thank you.
I just returned to this vedio to ask if you have seen the new COD game trailer? It shown some parts that are in Syria I would like to see the people who spoke ill of this game to start saying the same about the new COD
I have just stumbled on this game on Steam and deciding to buy it or not (its on sale atm). And I have to admit, the different perspective has me intrigued.
Most offensive wargames are made about ww2 since it makes entertainment about 54 million people dying. This is not even remotely close to be more offending.
This game is great to play so far (i'm on the 3rd mission) however the voice acting sould have been in arabic with subtitles as its awful. Also the SAA uniforms are incorrect.
I haven’t finished the game yet and had to stop the video at around 7 minutes as it was past where I was in the game. But from what I’ve seen this is clickbait-y but past that the video in itself is very good to where I’ve stopped
I don't know if you have noticed, but before this game there is a game called Warfare developed by GFI Russia. The two games bear incredible high level of resemblance. Cats who play has been accused of stealing contents from Warfare. ref: southfront.org/steam-store-removes-syrian-warfare-game-because-its-too-pro-russian/ store.steampowered.com/app/35300/Warfare/
Bought this game because I heard it was "Russian Propganda but the best modern day RTS" Turns out for Propaganda but one of the better modern day RTS game
Actually the beginning is so unrealistic cuz first in syria the law didn't allow any weapons it the owner of one was highly feed on small arms like handguns then think about an rpg only soldiers and police were allowed to have weapons at home so not all syrians and arab have weapons in their homes
You seem to have your own double standard in this video. Apparently shooting Islamic terrorists in video games is racist because you're killing brown people. But then when you fight alongside brown people in Afghanistan, then that's also bad because it's depicting the Mujahedeen as good guys. Why exactly is it wrong to depict the Mujahedeen as good guys? If you want to argue that the Americans were the bad guys in the Vietnam war, that's ok, but then you also have to agree that the Soviets in Afghanistan were just as bad if not worse. The Soviets would destroy entire villages, and also kidnap women in helicopters to be gang raped. Many historians actually consider it a genocide. At least for Vietnam, the responsibility can be shared between all sides, because the South Vietnamese government, The Americans, the Viet Cong, and the other Communist allies all committed atrocities. And if you love the Viet Cong so much you can go play the multiplayer in Bad Company 2. Call of Duty also doesn't shy away from having you fight Americans either. In mw2 you fight a rouge American General who's started ww3 for personal gain, and in AW you fight American mercenaries led by Kevin Spacey. Also if you play that Angola mission in Black Ops 2 again and actually pay attention, you'll realize there's plenty of Black people on your side as well, and you also shoot Cubans not just black people, which historically acurate because Cuba and South Africa were involved in the Angolan civil war.
Anyone know what is the music playing in the background from 00:10? Or where it is from? I looked through the OST of this game but it's not from Syrian Warfare.

P. S. They WORKED on Terminator game. They got kicked
@@donshep2305Officially they were kicked out of development, in reality they continued to make the game. Most of the names in the credits are Russian.
people take shit too personally.
Most offensive game ever? Hell no.
Its a video game and this is AMAZING!!!
i will not call that offensive because you are not playing with invader force
Terrible review, maybe next time focus on the mechanics, gameplay and story instead of whining about how Whites view Arabs (and as a Lebanese guy I loved the RPG buried in the yard line)
Crazy how dead on this game is.
Syria was destroyed by the West and some few powerful contries in the middle east. SAA kept the country alive with the help of russia of course..
Hell yeah he’s back
8:50 Quiet women do as I say😂😂😂This man is the anti-simp.
more like most anti american politics game ever! The american politicians really hate it and this is why i love this game. Tho by 2017 the Syrian war really was pretty much over in fact the deciding battles happened in 2016.
This games is based, I wanna buy it. Does it play on linux.
Congrats to show the double standards of american games, making justice with the Syrian Warfare franchise. Greetings from Brazil.
This game is THE BEST RTS of the 21st century so far
Ahh yes, geo-politics crosses into the realm of gaming. Love it. No right or wrong here, no opinion being stated. The Cold War 2.0 is playing out in every domain, and Everything is up for grabs. Hope everyone is paying attention. Like the old war, this one too is a Cold War of influence. This is a new generation all the together. That being said, this game is very accurate to the circumstances of the real conflict in Syria. I appreciate it as a piece of history more so than as a piece of propaganda.
Fun fact: Not all Syrians are Arabs, and not all Syrians are Muslims. ;p
Anyone know where did Matt Florence go?
I will rate this game 9/11
It makes the game better. Whoever gets offended to bad. Don’t play
what else race would you use as the enemy army in a game about US VS a middle eastern faction or country? that's like saying it's racist to have a Vietnam war game with the Vietnam solders as Asian. I have this game and will enjoy it the same as I do any other game I play shooting any other race from any other country.
full respect to you for taking the time and understanding the actual situation and then doing such a good video !!
This is the last video he made. Really makes you think, huh.
this game is fking great love it really
Such unfortunate thumbnail for such based video.
I heared some people being mad about that in this game the us are shown making fake news and being a sort of evil, but why is everybody so mad? American games are presenting russians as evil too so i dnt think thats a problem
Drumpf oppresses us gamers.
I’m an American and I don’t find this game controversial. I think you are just being dramatic
Ok hold on. The south africans in angola. You know that the black woman killed their new borns to smuggle ammo and grenades inside them over borders or through south african checkpoints so recruiting children isnt that far from that. And that wasnt because of race. Because even blacks fought with the white south africans. I understand your point but not the same
So there's nothing offensive about this game, nice title dude
Welcome back to RUclips! This is a great video and here's to you making more again.
I get this game can be offensive and controversial, but your thumbnail makes it look like you're defending ISIS... pretty bad move considering ISIS are some of the worst people on this planet...
And Wahid is voice acted by the shooting range guy for War Thunder. (Bruce Douglass Ross Grant)
Overall, its a great strategy game and devs are well known from their days in MiST land(GFI) - Paradise Cracked, Warfare games.
And also Alfa antiterror. Its tbs about spesial taeam alfa. Time afganistan 80-s, chechen wars. Also was add on to this game called man's work.
You gotta check out Terminator Dark Fate: Defiance if you like this game, because its made by the same devs
Matt bro why did you stop uploading?you opened my eyes to alot of new things! I love your content I hope you start uploading again..

R.I.P. Matt Florence. He was such a good Marxist-Leninist youtuber, gone too soon...

Why is the game possibly offensive? You play as the good guys fighting a pack of reactionary cavemen.
Atleast not one where USA goes to rescue. So not a USA propaganda game
Wow, great video. I'm a bit late but still good after all the years.
Well, in COD you practically kill American Soldiers too (General Shepard men, Shadow Company who are probably a Blackwater mercs ripoff)
matt, whats you opinion of jason unruhe
I used to be his biggest fan until he went crazy and started trying to justify 9/11. Definitely NOT the thing to be doing in an age when Islamist terrorism is used as a weapon by imperialism to sabotage underdeveloped nations!
He also made a facebook post mocking the death of a young British woman called Anna Campbell who had joined the YPG to defend Syria from ISIS, she was killed when Turkey invaded. She was a heroic and brave woman who had sacrificed her life to defend Syria from terrorism, so when I saw Jason's post it made by blood boil!!!!! When I confronted him he asked me if I was "fuc**** reta****".
It's not 2010 anymore, there are dozens of socialist channels hundreds of times better than Unruhe's, my favourites are ContraPoints, Philosophy Tube, Jimmy Dore, Russell Bentley, Three Arrows, HBomberGuy, Caleb Maupin, BoyBoy, Marcel Cartier and William Whiteman.
@@The10000league All of those are literally grifting gay "socialists" who have a hate boner for Elon Musk while shilling for corporate entities like Burger King. At least folks like Jason were unique. Those hacks just hide their funds to appear like anti-establishment underdogs.

This video is too redpilled for the masses
I dont think germany, japan, russia and debatably Korea are poor and and underdeveloped ._.
I won't call you an SJW, but this is another example of people constantly looking for racisim and blowing things out of proportion. A man calling a woman "woman", is just that. Nothing racist about it.
Braidon Benjamin
The point seems to have flown over your head
Grate video. I wish there were more games like this. Its also very good
Just torrent the game ffs, you can get all the dlc/updates for FREE and NO this game is NOT offensive, all you ever hear about is the rebels pov of the war, and if you had bothered to do your research, this game is based off of an ACTUAL account/story of a SAA soldier/syrian.
This is mostly a political statement, not a game review, and that sucks!
rip lmao

Yeah, but that is not how war works in the modern era.
0/10 can't play as the terrorists
I think you forgot to review the gameplay - it really looks interesting to me but I have no idea if it actually delivers a fun rts experience.
It's hard, but if you pause the game and think, and are willing to try again, you can do it.
Wait, a mission where your local imam has to talk to isis members to leave?? I think that's friggin brilliant, very interesting and unique in a video game! Now the execution on the other hand could be crap though or it could be good, that's what I'm interested in finding out.
This game was awesome absolutely loved it.
Came for the review, stayed for the propaganda.
Regarding your CoD player reference where theyre whinging they know who to shoot based on language and skin colour. That is war, know who your enemy is. Lets hope these wet flannels stay the fuck away from the armed forces.
The side this game takes is unsurprising. Considering Russia's stance on Syria.
13:20 bla ba is a NATO shill lol
wow what great review of a videogame.
This is his last video. Really makes you think, huh?
I just returned to this vedio to ask if you have seen the new COD game trailer?
It shown some parts that are in Syria
I would like to see the people who spoke ill of this game to start saying the same about the new COD
I have just stumbled on this game on Steam and deciding to buy it or not (its on sale atm). And I have to admit, the different perspective has me intrigued.
Amazing video
Most offensive wargames are made about ww2 since it makes entertainment about 54 million people dying. This is not even remotely close to be more offending.
in syria 500k people died and syria need 257B aproximatly to get fixed and there is more then 10 countries and 20 sides fighting.
Iranian are not arabs, but pro-american games lumps them as the same so I'll give you a pass for that.
I don't know if you have noticed, but before this game there is a game called Warfare developed by GFI Russia. The two games bear incredible high level of resemblance. Cats who play has been accused of stealing contents from Warfare.

Bought this game because I heard it was "Russian Propganda but the best modern day RTS"
Turns out for Propaganda but one of the better modern day RTS game
U don’t know much about COH2
Just found you and saw that the video is 2 years old. Hopefully you don't stop yt for good, looking forward foemr more videos.
