This is a video of the press only interview panel from MCM Comic Con October 2017. There were only a few press in there filming and it was a lot of fun! Panel has Danny John-Jules, Hattie Hayridge, Chris Barry & Robert Llewellyn :)

I met robert and chris at sheffield a few years ago. Robert had an amazing knowledge of the behind the scenes set up for TV, and chris was an amazing person to speak to. What a guy.

USED TO WATCH RED DWARF ON TV Many YEARS AGO
I've got every episode on DVD and watch them from time to time.
When they couldn't remember what episode the 'trout' comment was from I found myself shouting "POLYMORPH!" at my screen! Great video, thanks.

I watched it many years ago and watch it today and still love it! I think it's a combo of the cast chemistry, the writing, the acting etc. It always made me laugh and even though it's been years, when I hear their voices, I recognise them straightaway. I love all the actors individually and I love them in other shows too. I love Danny in Death in Paradise and have seen Chris in other comedies and movies. :)
+arigato22 You seen Chris when he turns up in Blackadder? That was a great cameo 😃 I chatted to Hattie & Chris again yesterday and they are lovely 😄
I'm a massive Blackadder fan; so yes! I also used to watch the Brittas Empire re-runs after school in Aust. :)

Thanks! The Kevin Conroy (Batman) is live now and I have one of the Walking Dead guys to go up in future as well. I was so lucky to get to film so many of the press only panels this time :)
I’ve never met a single member of the cast...one day I really hope to and thank them all for being a massive part of my life for 30 years! 😊
I got to have a great long chat with Chris and Hattie at Reading Comicon last year! Both fab people!
A bit late, but thanks to RUclips i just watched this after watching Hattie win celebrity mastermind, with "the cold war" as her specialist subject.

Ahh, Red Dwarf, this show got me through some rough times but a word of warning: don't watch it just after a major stomach surgery unless you're hooked up to a morphine drip...even then you're likely to pop a staple or two (I did, I actually had two staples pop out and my tummy start to split from laughing to hard, that hurt, even with the drip!)
Haha! Oh dear. That's a pretty good endorsement for the show as literally 'side splittingly' good 🤣
@@TristaBytes Haha, I didn't think of that! By the way I wasn't allowed to watch it anymore after that, the nurses wouldn't let me, probably wise.
30 years...I cant believe it. I am the same age, give or take, as these guys and have watched every episode...love them.

Holy fuck I watch red dwarf on Dave all the time and STILL funny as fuck, even though I've seen eps like a zillion times, each time it's so rewatchable.... Why????? What fucking magic does this show have ????????????????????
Its like Blackadder or Monty Python. Knowing the punch line doesn't spoil the joke. I can happily watch Dwarf episodes over & over again too lol 😄
Would love to see Hatty Hayridge return to Red Dwarf, even in a guest role. Surely there's a back-up disc with the Seasons III-V Holly lying about (like that hilarious huge one seen in Promised Land). Or maybe they could make a joke about how she's "in the cloud" of distributive computing which explains why she's scatterbrained. Or even have Hilly from the parallel Red Dwarf jump dimensions. :)
I honestly have a HUGE crush on Chris! Like honestly, he's 30 years older than me but he is seriously handsome! #swoon
If it helps he seems a lovely person in real life. I've chatted to him multiple times & always enjoyed talking to him. Proper professional & welcoming person every time. He also constantly does brilliant impressions to make people smile 😊

I'm at most the London based comic cons! And sometimes my boss at Geektown (I do some filming for them and am on their podcast) has me film these press panels which is awesome! I was so lucky to see this :)

I think it's funny that both Chris and Robert are in separate documentaries about trains.

@@TristaBytes tony hawks not tony hawk's. he's a comedian, he did the voice of the vending machine that says "today's fish is trout a la creme." he also had several other roles in the show. he played caligula in meltdown and i think he was also in better than life.

I got to chat to her for ages at Reading Comic Con. She's really sweet and genuinely lovely to talk to.
@@TristaBytes She seems a gentle person, and kind with just a hint of Holly's mischievousness. It's cute, and I perceive her to be a wonderfully beautiful person. There are, exceedingly, few people in the world I'd ever consider being married to, but in another life, mayhap, I think it would be a wonderful thing to spend it loving her. And, thank you for the video post. These people are a riot, and Red Dwarf one of the best shows ever made. You are blessed to have met them in person. And, certainly, the world whole, is blessed that they are in it. I know I am.
Yeah I remember seeing her do standup once before - that was so long ago! She seemed kinda shy and nice then too. I've spent a chunk of time talking to Chris Barrie too. He's always doing impressions and again seems so genuine and down to earth. If you ever want to meet them I'd recommend smaller conventions like Reading as literally at the start of the day I got to chat to them for ages as it wasn't busy!
your video gains an upvote, the panel does not. Danny should not have touched his celly at all. Their chemistry was fine, as on the show too and I agree that in outer space, less chance of a show being "dated." Partly maybe for the furniture. Feb 2024 Pennsylvania. I'd like to insert about being together for 3 million years, but that does not work. I still remember Lister left the light on and ran up that electric bill. LOL
