I was 13 watching this not really knowing what I lost, but my god it’s enough to make a now 25 year old man shed a tear. We shall never see his like again. The best there ever was
Even though I am a City fan, I have to say that Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time. You don't even need to watch this speech or see his games to know this. All you need to hear is the testimonies of his former players, including the greatest of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, who say he was like a father to them, and the main driving force behind their success.
One of the most passionate and devoted managers that stepped on earth his commandment-ship and leadership made Manchesterunited the greatest club it was.
As a Liverpool fan I can honestly say he has done the impossible so many times in his years there as manager, that he should be seen as one of the all time worlds greatest. I know the rivalry is fierce between the Pool and Man U , but there is also respect, He spent money wisely and nurtured young talent along the way, some of the most entertaining players ever to grace the Premier league played better under his direction. To see one of his old school now at the helm and seemingly getting to grips with the job many others failed to do is great to see.
Sir Alex Ferguson has never lied to the Fans of Manchester United, but when he said It's all gonna be okay when he retired, he and for the first time, wasn't right
It's so strange how Van Persie stood there applausing the farewell of a rival manager for more than 6 years and yet wasn't there to applause in the farewell for the manager that made him the player he was. Football is crazy.
@@raunvk yeah but it’s just not how football was back then. It wasn’t a business it was a true sport now it’s just for money there’s no rivalry. It’s not the same nowadays he would’ve kissed Wenger on the lips and checked his prostate. But back then rival players wouldn’t interact publicly other then on international games. But now you see Liverpool and United players laughing it up on a RUclips video.
Tears of joy came through my eyes listening to those trophies this man, this legend, this human being has done for us. FERGIE WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MAN UNITED
Sir Alex Ferguson is and forever will be the greatest manager of all time. He’s incomparable to people like Ancelotti, Pep, klopp. He not only was the coach of the longest reigning British team ever, but MANAGED the entirety of the biggest football club in the world single-handedly. Most notably, sir Alex created one of the biggest families football has ever seen. He impacted so many peoples lives, gave people hope, belief, and a sense of being. The late goals, the Derby’s, the European nights will be remembered for all of time. I’m not playing down the tactical genius of say a pep guardiola, he’s the best tactical coach who’s probably ever lived. But look at what he’s inherited in each of his jobs, the resources, the already great teams he took over, the state of the clubs. Look at what pep has created socially at city. The fans don’t sing, seats aren’t filled, it’s commercial, it’s brilliant to watch, but not special. Old Trafford was bouncing for 30 years. Fans were engaged to an extent that’s never been seen before in England. Why was this given a team like city are so much better technically? It’s because of the joy, the emotion, the feeling, the togetherness, the passion for the club. How was this created? Sir Alex Ferguson
Goosebumps, tears, joy, excitement come flooding back and even while watching this video (over and over again) my heart will always be Manchester United. This man was my, and all us fans, general for years and years since our youth. Glory glory man United ❤️
Best manager of all time. Nobody can argue with that. Playing in the thoughest era of football. If he coached tday with the backing most clubs get now u know hed be winning.
Even after a decade, it seems like yesterday. There are no words to describe how it felt as a fan in this day. It was a Really really, really depressing and cheerful moment at the same time.
Man, I ain't got nothing to do with England or Man Utd, or any of these people in the vid; I live in another continent, but football breaks every boundary and it gives me chills to see the respect Mr. Ferguson's got for being who he is. Such a legend. Huge respect for him and Man Utd. 26 years as a manager in a single club? I've never heard of it anywhere else. I guess this man will live forever in every Man Utd fan's heart forever and ever.
I'll never forget this day, I was a young boy in a pub with family who supported United all our lives and seen him and the team at Old Trafford and away manys of time. As a young boy I cried seeing Sir Alex retire, the end of an era but he gave us all so many great memories to look back on and became a legend in my eyes and many of supporters eyes. Good luck, from an Arsenal fan i really want you guys to do it with Ronaldo!
Yess! 🥺🥺 gave me tears!!
See you in 20 years then
@@frankfrank6631 & I hope to never see you 😝
Im Liverpool Fan, but what he is been made in his career for the club and for the players is world class ! Respect !
Even as a liverpool supporter this gives me goosebumps to watch.....Respect
🤝
Even though I am a City fan, I have to say that Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time. You don't even need to watch this speech or see his games to know this. All you need to hear is the testimonies of his former players, including the greatest of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, who say he was like a father to them, and the main driving force behind their success.
Messi is better
@@janvertonghen14 truly a very necessary comment hahaha
😀
"Greatest of all time". 😂😂😂
Its like father teaching his children what do when he will be no more and also sharing his superb journey in his life's voyage.
Sir Alex Ferguson almost asked for a chair to sit while waiting for the list of all his achievements.
Not seen a manager like him in any sports. Legend
Managed for twenty seven years. Two minute thank you speech. Legend.
Sir Alex Ferguson has never lied to the Fans of Manchester United, but when he said It's all gonna be okay when he retired, he and for the first time, wasn't right
I will never forget this day… tears still come to my eyes when I rewatch this
It's so strange how Van Persie stood there applausing the farewell of a rival manager for more than 6 years and yet wasn't there to applause in the farewell for the manager that made him the player he was. Football is crazy.
The only manager he won a premier league title with.
@@zebruh1812 yea i know that but what about your upbringings as a player?
@@raunvk yeah but it’s just not how football was back then. It wasn’t a business it was a true sport now it’s just for money there’s no rivalry. It’s not the same nowadays he would’ve kissed Wenger on the lips and checked his prostate. But back then rival players wouldn’t interact publicly other then on international games. But now you see Liverpool and United players laughing it up on a RUclips video.
@@zebruh1812 wtf mate, are you bent?
@@zebruh1812 They would interact publicly. No one cared tho because youtube and social media didnt exist.
Tears of joy came through my eyes listening to those trophies this man, this legend, this human being has done for us. FERGIE WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MAN UNITED
Sir Alex is not just a manager, he is a father, a guide and a true legend of billions of peoplr around the world.
What a beautiful amazing man, what he has done for our football club, nobody even comes close.
I wanted to cry when he made this speech, he’s the only Utd manager I’d ever known
The man motivated me to do better and better in my life! His lessons, his characteristic
He is and always be an Inspiration thank you Sir Alex ❤️
One in 7 billion❤️ Greatest manager to ever grace a football pitch
I remember watching it with my Dad and he asking to translate😢 truly greatest times of that Club and Mine
Greatest Manager of all time!!!! 😭😭😭😭
Watching this in 2024 with tears in my eyes. The old glory shall surely return. GGMU💪🏾.
Glad to have know this man. He is the best coach ever in the history of football.
im a liverpool fan but i got to admit i felt heartbroken for them for a big loss hope this amazing club gets back amazingly
Thank you for all you gave and everything you done, Sir Alex Ferguson
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MEMORIES GAFFER, YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND, THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GREATEST BRITISH MANAGER EVER ❤️❤️❤️
52 people are not happy that he singlehandedly turned 7-18 to 20-18.

And besides it’s almost 20-20 now too
This man made me fell in love with the United ❤️
