So much fun and nostalgia combined. Mas Oyama taught my old sensei (to whom I was the worst student ever). Though I am not the best example of a Shorin Ryu-ka, I love being part of a tradition of sharing between China, Okinawa, Nihon, and the US, that has spanned over 1500 years in all. Many thanks for the post. It touched my heart, soul, and some of my most sacred memories.
Ey folks, no intention to offend no one, but I do believe that this matter is senseless. Kyokushin is one thing and Shaolin is another and both are SO DIFFERENT... For what I do know, Kyokushin in the days of the great Kancho Oyama was such a hard training art that was something no to understimate at all... That's all I have to say. OSU!
No doubt about Shaolin ! I have seen some demos of the monks over here . They too have formidable skills ! I do believe in the boddhisattva Quan Yin ,yes . I meant no offense at all ...
im not sure but i guess it would be like KO for Shaolin ? dont underestamate the power of Sosai . Impressive list of training on his record..but then again .. Sosai is no longer with us , buddha bless him . But his spirit remains ... OSU !
