Both wing chun and karate come from the family of fujian crane styles with goju ryu sharing 70% of its movements with fujian calling crane or ming he quan and wing chun being a modified form of yong chun bai he or yong chun white crane.
Some would say martialists should kick higher than their heads, but if elasticity is not your strength, then kick the most powerful low kicks. Usually grandmasters retire and show only some rituals for sake of demonstration. The skills of the apprentices are unquestionable.
