Another great snowblower video!! Can't belive how that HS622 didn't even bog down a bit on that wet snow. We got a dump as well, my brother tried starting the ariens, ended up shutting off the fuel valve and then spilled gas while trying to fill it and after all that decided to shovel by hand. How hard is it to turn that track blower? From the video it doesn't seem that difficult.
lol, the video was just for fun and to try out my new GoPro Session 5 but yeah I think Cowtown got its last and final dump of snow. Praying for spring to come so I can start doing some Type R driving videos! How hard is it to turn a track blower? Normally not easy BUT b/c the HS622 is so small and relatively lightweight for a dual stage that turning is a breeze. That isn't always the case for larger tracked units that weigh more. 2016 and newer Honda tracked blowers are supposedly MUCH easier to steer because they've incorporated "drive braking" that essentially stops the axle of the side you're turning on from spinning to help you turn. 2015 and older Honda track units you have to manhandle a bit or have a lot of room to turn smoothly. Can't speak for Ariens or other brands and how they operate. That sucks that you couldn't the Ariens. Hopefully we don't get any more snow until December!
looking forward to the Type R videos! on one of your videos I think you had the hood propped up while talking about your Honda snowblower, if I remember correctly, thought that was cool, you're definitely a Honda fan and have more Honda toys than I do ;)
yeah I definitely am a Honda man... everything I have including jackets and coffee cups are Honda paraphernalia. Neighbours all thought I worked for Honda! But yes the Type R is in some videos and you will be seeing a LOT more Type R vids this summer along with a flashback in time with my Honda CRX Si videos...

yeah the shed has lots of ventilation and large doors so it wasn't bad. The snow was quite heavy and in the end we may have finished at the same time but I wasn't tired and he likely was. I didn't film the entire snowblowing job but I actually did 3 driveways in total that day in a very short period of time.
piercedasian yeah nothing like getting a heart attack just because you have to shovel snow. But I was watching how far the snow blower was tossing the snow and I'm sure some cars got dumped on from your snowblower 😁😂
It does but it is a manual lever on the engine itself (at least on mine it is). Normally I leave it on full throttle and just use the choke to start it up but otherwise wide open is where the throttle sits.
Unfortunately in 2nd gear. This is probably my biggest complaint on the 622 in that, it’s gearing is way too slow. They should’ve really bumped up 1st gears speed by at least 20% and 2nd gear should’ve been at least 100% faster.
This little dual stage does absolute wonders with the snow and while it isn't as quick and nimble as a single stage blower that for the slippery or uneven surfaces the 2 stage is king!
agreed... the only problem is that with snowblowing my neck of the woods that there isn't much variety in the snow that we get. I've got a bunch of new content that I've finally had time to start editing and publishing. Stay tuned.

Yeah definitely not good and it is the sign of the times of where corporations are headed... running leaner and leaner and cutting things out that they may not need. 16 years of my life I committed to my job. In my employer's defence they gave me the option to "lay myself off" so I did. I could've stayed employed but it was my choice to leave and pursue other opportunities. This is why I say I now have a lot more time to actually create and publish content in hopes that my viewers can support me through this lull in my career. My question to you is what would YOU like to see on my channel? I have some Type R driving vids (just cruising around town) and I can make vids on my mint condition CRX Si. I have some DIY fix it videos too including the unwrapping of a new 2018 Civic Sport Hatchback as well. Give me some feedback so I know what to focus my efforts on. Thanks!

Can’t tell but does the hs622 have throttle control or just full throttle all the time?

Normal Honda gx control on the engine. I warm it up 1/3 then wide open.

The tracks and the weight of the blower are enough for snow plowing for that amount of snow.

purchased a 2022 version of the 622. not much of a difference other than price.
How is it is snowstorms and heavy snow? How about End of Driveway pileup? I'm looking to purchase this model.
yep, no difference whatsoever. I believe you can buy them with the light now whereas my unit it was an optional "hokey" looking bolt on accessory.
