When we read that Steel Woods would be disbanding...we actually cried. We found them and have loved them for years. Seeing them perform live was a bit of heaven. So much soul and raw talent. True originals that fit into many genres. We will be spinning all your cd's FOREVER..THANKS FOR THE DANCE! WE LOVE YOU ALL!! ❤️
I don't think it's supposed to be a sad song. Like, it's a song that confronts the feeling of being overwhelmed by life, for sure... but the point is that line "if you cut the grass, it'll be short tomorrow." In other words, when life seems overwhelming, start by taking care of one thing you can get done, and know it will be done the next day. What you do today is going to determine what tomorrow feels like, so take care of things even though you're tired, and tomorrow those things will be taken care of already. It's a song of encouragement, though not one that's all sunshine and roses. It acknowledges what's hard, and tells us we can get through it.
