The versatile Touchstone Sideline Electric Fireplace can be installed inside of a recessed wall or mounted onto the wall, making this fireplace a favorite among contractors and do-it-yourself installers. The heat vents are on the front of the unit, which is perfect for those who want a flush-mount installation. The Sideline Electric Fireplace is easy to install and comes with easy-to-follow instructions. - Хобби
*Very easy to set up and use, attractive but be sure you understand the height--it's not tall. The heat is not overwhelming, but steady and pleasant fireplace **fireplace.homes** . It's quiet, too. I like the possibility of easily moving it from room to room in the event we want supplemental heat elsewhere. Definitely a good buy.*
Thank you very much for this install video. I bought a home that had just been remodeled and they installed this exact fireplace. Well they half installed it because it just fell out of the wall!!! They had only inserted it into the fireplace, it was not secured to the wall. I can't believe some of the half assed workmanship I'm finding in this house!!!!!!
Awsome quick shipping, with good packeging. Above all outstanding customer service!!!
My husband couldn't get the front glass off of our new fireplace to install it. Just watching you
'unhook' yours helped him. Glad you posted this because I was getting tired of trying to figure out why unscrewing the screws wasn't enough. These manuals need to be written by people who are not installers.
Hoping a model in the future will have more than 3 color's. White flame with crystals is a really nice look with white framed fireplaces.
Your website shows the fireplace with the crystals AND the logs installed together (logs on top of crystals) - which looks nice
How close can a TV hang above this fireplace or any electric fireplace for that matter?
does a 40" sideline need a dedicated plug?
Hello, if I am using real stone, how many inches should I give on the top of the unit so that the face plate can be installed? If the unit is installed flush with the mounting surface of the cement board or durarock without the face plate, what is the maximum thickness of the stone? The face plate goes in and then down, correct? It would be a disaster if the unit and stone is installed and then I couldn’t get the face plate on. Thanks for your time and answers.
Good video thanks.
Great help.
Can you deliver the product in india and how much cost of 60" electric fireplace
What was the depth of your recess in this video? I'm framing a basement and trying to decide what to do? Do you have any photos of the fireplace recessed in standard 2x4 walls? I'd like to get an idea of what that would look like, partially recessed.
Hi Derrik,
We used 2x6 for our showroom install. We have some customer images in our gallery that show installs into 2x4 walls - www.touchstonehomeproducts.com/pages/electric-fireplace-gallery
Interest in the metal frame electric fireplace just above the one you installed. What is the product model for the 50 or 60' in the metal frame? Also, I assume we can order directly from the listed website?
Hi Michael! The fireplace on top is our Sideline 50 Steel 80013. You can order through our website or give us a call if you have any questions. Shipping is fast and free!
I would have bought and one from you guys except for I only have an 18in wide by 36 and 1/4
why would the heat blow out the top? It should blow out the bottom where the cold air is.
That's nice
We are considering mounting in a brick fireplace 34" opening. What is the horizontal distance between the mounting screws on the 36" model?
Hi Martin! The firebox portion that is mounted in the wall or opening is 32.5" wide.
Can you mouth both the log and crystals at the same time? Or is it one or the other???
It's designed to be used with one media option at a time, although some customers will use the log set and put crystals on top. It's really just a preference and won't hurt anything if you do!
Does it need any type of respiration on the back or sides if placed inside a wall as the video shows?
No it does not
I am going to ask the same question from below that was never answered. Can someone please answer? Thanks

"Yes, the Sideline glass face lifts up (approximately 2") and off the unit, so it would need clearance to remove. We do not recommend using stone/tile around the glass so that you can remove the front panel. If you are looking to use material right to the edge of the fireplace, I recommend our Sideline Elite fireplaces. The glass is able to be removed even with material flush against the top/bottom and sides."
Can you please tell me what type of screwdriver is needed to remove the screws for the glass removal?
Tools Required
• Phillips screwdriver
• Stud finder
• Level
• Tape measure
• Electric drill
• 1/4” wood drill bi

Is non glare glass an option? It looks like lots of reflection from the glass you installed.
Dennis, we have the Sideline Steel Screen Front Non Reflective Electric Fireplaces. You can see the options at bit.ly/3trIetx
In the video what model is the fireplace right above the one you installed? The matte black one a little smaller than the one you installed
The unit above is our 80013 Sideline Steel model.
@@TouchstoneHomeProducts does it only come in the 50 inch option?
Yes - the steel option is only in the 50" size.
Is there a way to mount this to a brick fireplace? We want to install this into the existing opening on our brick fireplace. Or would I need to mount a wooden frame inside the firebox to secure this to?
Please contact our support department at 800-215-1990. They will need a little more information in order to provide you with the correct answer.
are the color options for the flames?
Yes! Our Sideline series has 3-color option for the flames - orange, blue, and the combination of both colors!
Rosso
Do you have any tv remote interference with this fire ?
No, the fireplace or fireplace remote will not interfere with your television or tv remote.
The manual says 8” clearance for objects above the fireplace, but the guy in the video said 12”. Is 8” alright for a sound bar?
8 inches would be fine for the soundbar.
They also have it recesses into a wall making wood right on top of the vents. Is this okay?
@@JP-hs3zk The vents blow air out of the front of the unit and need to be completely unobstructed.
I purchased the 40" and there is extremely limited access to the two screws for the glass front. What size screwdriver do you recommend? I now have to stop my project and go to Home Depot for a screwdriver. REALLY?
An extended Philips Head Screw Driver should work just fine. The screws should be at a 45-degree angle which makes them easier to access.
@@TouchstoneHomeProducts Phillips #2. Thanks!
Would love to know where to find that exact fake stone wall material 😃
It's from a company called GenStone! Great product to work with and we love the look of it!
Is the stone the Kenai version sold by Genstone?
Are they not real flames?
No, though incredibly realistic, the light from an
(LED) reflects off of a spinning light refractor made up of three-dimensional patterns. This reflection creates the illusion of flickering flames and the glow of fire within the fireplace.
Does the 40” come in a steel frame?
Yes it does! Newly introduced 80048 - www.touchstonehomeproducts.com/collections/steel-screen-front-non-reflective-electric-fireplaces/products/forte-steel-mesh-screen-non-reflective-80048-40-recessed-electric-fireplace
Apologies. I meant stainless steel.
@@anthonymarshall1071 The Stainless Steel does not come in 40"
Can you remove that "ts" logo on the lower right?
Yes you can
